Robert (Bob) Shelton Hare
(October 7, 1939 - September 22, 2011)
Robert (Bob) Shelton Hare, 71, of Jonesboro, AR went Home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday September 22, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House with his family at his side.
He was born October 7, 1939 in Memphis, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Edward and Clesteel, Hare, Sr.; and brother, Reverend Clarence (Lefty) Edward Hare, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Anderson Hare; his children, Jill Hare of St. Louis, MO, Paige Hare Womble (Jody) of Little Rock, AR, and soon-to-be granddaughter, Chloe Grace Womble; step-children, Tracy (Sandy) Wartenberg of Southaven, MS, Pat (Derek) McCormick, Mark (Jennifer) Douglas, and Greg (Ann) Douglas, all of Lake City, AR; step-grandchildren, Chris and Hunter Wartenberg, Jessica and Daniel McCormick, Keryn (Michael) Cobble, Kassie Douglas, and Brittany, Sarah and Hunter Douglas; step-great-grandchildren, Remington and Jayde Cobble; sister-in-law, Alystine DeShazo Hare of Brownsville, TN; nephews, Clarence (Ed) Edward (Ginger) Hare, III and Paul (Ruth) Hare; nieces, DeAnne (Bobby) Hare Sharp of Jackson, TN, and Charlotte (Jeff) Hare Kerr of Burlington, NC.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 10am on Monday, September 26, in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 2-5pm Sunday afternoon, September 25, at Emerson Funeral Home.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Cliff Jackson, Benton Hughey, Russell Altom, Danny Honnoll, Billy Wells and Daniel McCormick.
Also honored to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
In lieu of flowers, family ask to consider donations be made to Nettleton Baptist Church, 4701 East Nettleton Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401, or to Southern Confederate Heritage Park NEASHF, PO Box 16876 Jonesboro, AR 72403, in memory of Robert (Bob) Shelton Hare.

Thelma McDaniel Clines
(May 14, 1919 - September 21, 2011)
Thelma McDaniel Clines, 92, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday afternoon, September 21, 2011, at her residence. She was born May 14, 1919, in Jonesboro to David and Dicie Johnson McDaniel and lived in this area all of her life.
Mrs. Clines was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elden (Chub) Clines, by her parents, by a daughter, Karen Ann Clines, by 5 brothers and 2 sisters, and by a son-in-law, Melvin Griffin.
Survivors include 2 daughters and son-in-law: Glenda Griffin, and Brenda and Tince Sharp, all of Jonesboro;
5 grandchildren and their spouses: Shelia and Gregg Garner, Lisa and Toby Emerson, Cindy and Tony Elmore, Heather and Brian Lund and Megan and Chaz Payne; and
5 great grandchildren and their spouses: Ashley and Josh Baker, Aaron and Kristin Garner, Sydney Elmore, Dean Elmore and Amanda and Zach Fahlberg.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers include Tince Sharp, Gregg Garner, Toby Emerson, Tony Elmore, Brian Lund, Chaz Payne, Aaron Garner, Josh Baker and Dean Elmore.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5:00-7:00, at Emerson Funeral Home.
For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the Pine Hill cemetery Association.

Marilee Taylor Pruitt
(August 18, 1922 - August 23, 2011)
Marilee Taylor Pruitt
Marilee Taylor Pruitt, 89, of Jonesboro, died Tues, August 23, 2011, at her home. She was born in Paragould and lived there until moving to Jonesboro in 1936 and was a member of the Greensboro Road Church of Christ. Marilee was a devout teacher, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was an avid JHS sports fan and a member of the JHS Class of 1940. As a sports fan, Marilee, never missed a JHS home basketball game in 28 years and was present for the State Championships won in 1962, 1994, and 2007. Marilee graduated from Arkansas State with her BSE in 1957 and also worked on her post graduate studies. She retired as a public school teacher and enjoyed her time teaching at Oak Grove Schools from 1942 until 1943; Valley View Schools for ten years and at North School in Jonesboro for 24 years until her retirement in 1989. After retirement she enjoyed her time spent with the North School Classics (Retired teachers). She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Cecil Taylor and one daughter, Rhonda Renee Pruitt.
Survivors are her husband of 68 years, Lloyd Pruitt; son, Barry Lee Pruitt and wife Billie; daughter, Barbara Elaine Hall and husband Dr. Ray all of Jonesboro; one brother, Dr. Trice Taylor of Charlottesville, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael Pruitt, Casey Higgins, Matt Pruitt, Taylor Pruitt, Dr. Heather Coleman, Holly Hall and Colin Hall; great grandchildren, Morgan Pruitt, Shelby Pruitt, Landon Higgins, Laney Higgins, Amelia Coleman and Ethan Byars.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery with Terry Jo Kee officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandchildren and their spouses will serve as pallbearers. The North School Classics and the Ladies Bible Class at the Greensboro Road Church of Christ are honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Amy Denise Kaiser
(September 14, 1970 - August 26, 2011)
Amy Kaiser, 40, of Jonesboro, died Friday at her home. She was born in Jonesboro and had lived here most of her life. She was a member of the Rogers Chapel Community Church. She had worked as payroll clerk for Fowler Foods for several years. She was an avid Cardinals fan and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Lamon Kaiser; her son Joshua Kaiser, both of the home; her parents, Bruce Price & Frankie Hamrick Price; and a brother, Jon Price of Brookland.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eddie & Franchell Hamrick and Arthur & Alma Price.
Graveside services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Log cemetery with Rev. Jim Hilliard officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers are Tracy Meredith, Richard Shelby, Nathan Coleman, Tommy Webb, Gene Brumley, and Duane Price.
Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ezra Earl Maglothin
(August 1, 1933 - August 25, 2011)
Ezra Earl “Ez” Maglothin, Sr. , 78, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, August 25, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Trumann, AR, Ezra worked for several years for Poinsett Lumber and Mfg. Co. (Singer) in Trumann, retiring as a Division Manager. He was a past councilman for the City and had served on the Poinsett County Equalization Board. Later, he moved with his wife, Shirley, to Jonesboro where he worked for several more years in maintenance for NEA Baptist Clinic on Windover.
Ezra was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie Pate Maglothin; an infant daughter, Sherry Maglothin; 2 sisters, Georgia Harris and Ruth Harding; and 3 brothers, Cecil Maglothin, Joe Maglothin and James Maglothin.
Ezra is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shirley Maglothin of the home;
1 daughter, Linda Bailey; 2 sons, E.E. Maglothin, Jr. and Dr. Doug Maglothin, all of Jonesboro;
1 sister, Irene Adams of Kimberling City, Missouri;
1 brother, Richard Maglothin of Millington, Tennessee;
7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 at Emerson Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Carole Pepper
(January 25, 1951 - August 25, 2011)
Carole Taylor Pepper passed away, Wednesday August 25, at her residence. She was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina and had lived in Jonesboro since 1999, moving here from Easley, South Carolina.
She was an executive assistant for Liberty Bank and was of the Presbyterian belief. She will always be remembered for her compassion, charity, thoughtfulness, love of all holidays and organization. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Taylor and one step-son, Andrew Pepper. She also leaves behind her faithful companion Scooby.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Pepper of the home, son, Todd Dudley, of Greenville, North Carolina, one daughter, Barbara Elden and husband Scot of Kinston, North Carolina, 2 step daughters Sarah Pepper of Houston, Texas and Jennifer Pepper of Evansville, Indiana. Her mother, Dorothy Taylor of Kinston, North Carolina. 2 brothers, Bryant Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia and Scott Taylor and wife Valerie of Supply, North Carolina. One sister, Allyson Taylor and husband Keith of Atlanta, Georgia.
Three grandchildren, Haley Dudley, Will Dudley and Ele Eden. Nephews, Harrison Taylor and Chandler Taylor.
Visitation will be from 5 -7:00 P.M. Friday August 26, 2011 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service at the First Presbyterian Church in Kinston, North Carolina will be at a later date and time, with a private burial following at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be John Rogers, Denny Spence, Harrison Taylor, Chandler Taylor, Loyld Moody and Steve Squires.
Honorary pallbearers will be family at Liberty Bank.
