Billie Tyler
Billie Lois Tyler, 69, of Quitman went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. She was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Puddin Ridge, Ark., to Wesley Murphree and the late Elva Lois Murphree. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. Ms. Tyler retired from Kimberly Clark after 27 years, from which she had many friends.
Ms. Billie is preceded in death by her husband Fred Randal Tyler, and her mother. She is survived by her two sons, Fred Randal Tyler Jr. and wife Carolyn of Conway, and Stacy Lynn Tyler and wife Cynthia of Quitman; brothers Joe Max Murphree and wife Diane, Leo Murphree and wife Mary, Leon Murphree and wife Sabra, David Murphree and wife Jean; and a sister Barbara Miller. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with many other extended family and long time friends.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Preston Kelso officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Welling, Kyle Tyler, Paul Siegrist, Lance Wright, Keith Corbitt, and Little Joe Murphree.

Madgia Hillis
Madgia Hillis, 96, Clinton died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. She was born Aug. 6, 1916, at Shirley to Thomas and Ida (Lincycomb) Carroll.
She was preceded in death by husband Curtis E. Hillis, and son Ernie Hooton. She is survived by two daughters, Glinda Kidd of Morrilton, and Linda Buckelew of Clinton; daughter-in-law, Janet Hooten of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was Oct. 19 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Burial at Culpepper cemetery.
Celeste Smith
Nancy Celeste Towery Smith, born Jan. 25, 1920, in Eglantine, Ark., passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2013, in her home in Shirley, Ark., with her loving family by her side.
Celeste was born to George and Margaret (Caldwell) Towery, the seventh of 11 children. Opal Ham, Talmadge, Glen, Novel (infant), Leon Smith, Georgia Hall, and Joyce Bradford have all preceded her in death. Ruth Ward of Oregon, Melba Tipton and Jack Towery, both of Shirley, survive her.
Celeste was married
to Watson Irving Smith in Fayetteville, Ark., on Sept. 23, 1939. Watson is currently living in Shirley, where they have lived for the past 63 years. Celeste and Watson have three children, Thomas Gale Smith (Mary) of Hot Springs Village, Margaret Ann Earnhart (Ray) of Shirley, and Mickey Joan Verble (Kelly) of Hot Springs. They have seven grandchildren; Kimberly Cole (Barry) and Timothy Smith of Little Rock, Melanie Fosko (Billy) of Choctaw, Josh Little (Penny) of Shirley, Amanda Gentry (Gary) of Edgemont, and Ashton and Kelsey Verble of Little Rock. They also have 10 great-grandchildren, Cody Morgan Cole of Hot Springs, Kaycee Erin Cole of Alanta, Spencer Cole of Tallahassee, Ryan and Reece Fosko of Choctaw, Nash, Hogan, and Lex Little of Shirley, and Lainee and Macy Gentry of Edgemont. Celeste is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and loved ones.
Celeste was a loving wife, wonderful mother, doting grandmother, and consummate homemaker. Celeste was in good health until April 2012 when she suffered a massive stroke. After a period of time recuperating she returned home to be with her family. She passed away in her sleep Jan. 13, 2013.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Shirley Church of Christ, and funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Shirley Church of Christ, where Celeste has been a member for most of her life. Burial will be at the Eglantine cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shirley Senior Citizens Program. Donations accepted at First Service Bank in Shirley.
Gloria Baker
Gloria Kay Baker, 67, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. She was born Sept. 19, 1945, at Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of the late Willard and Madge (Lewis) Baker.
She was a retired educator having taught at the junior high, high school, and post-secondary levels. She was a teacher-educator at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, before spending 20 years as a state superviser with the Arkansas Department of Education in Little Rock. Ms. Baker was a member of the Pee Dee Baptist Church and many professional education organizations.
She is survived by her sister, Gay McHam of Morganton, Ark.; two nieces, Jennifer Fulks of Morganton, Ark., and Carrie Schwandt of Cabot, Ark.; three great-nieces, Sarah Blair Fulks, Ally Lee, and Shasta Schwandt; and one great-nephew, J.W. Lee.
Pallbearers: Tommy Elliott, John Linn, Mike James, Grady Baker, Richard Mahan, Larry Lewis. Honorary pallbearers: T.J. Raper and Leman Bradford.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Rev. Todd Davis officiating. Burial was at Pee Dee cemetery. Arrangements under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Ark.
Shirley Harmer
Shirley (Cullum) Harmer, 66, of Edgerton, Mo., passed away, Dec. 23, 2012. She was born on June 4, 1946, to Frank and Ruth May (Lamb) Cullum in Clinton, Ark., where she grew up and attended school.
On June 12, 1964, she was united in marriage to Robert Harmer. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City and later made their home in Edgerton. Shirley was a nurse for over 45 years. She loved to read and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Shirley is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; daughter Youllonda Parker and husband Mike, of Peculiar, Mo.; sons, Shawn Harmer and wife Lisa and Brent Harmer and wife Cindy, all of Edgerton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Lyle Cullum, Fairfield, Calife., J.F. Cullum, Clinton, Ark., Bill Cullum, Indianapolis, Ind., Carmon Holly, El Paso, Texas, Jim Cullum, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother and sister of the heart, Pat DeMoss, Plattsburg, Mo., and Art McCarthy, Gower, Mo.; numerous other relatives and a few good friends.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton. Burial: Ridgely cemetery. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Dec. 27 at the church. Arrangements by Hixson-Klein Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
John Bane
John “Son” Bane, 85, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. He was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Arlburg Community, Ark., to the late Joseph A. and Ida Lea (Sutterfield) Bane.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters and one infant brother; two sisters, Laverne Harness and Betty Sturdevant; and one brother, Dean Bane.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Naomi (Roberts) Bane of the home; daughters Verna Ward and husband Hal, and Tammie Lemings and husband Ronnie; son Bill Bane and wife Melinda; three granddaughters, Racheal, Meggin and Catie; four grandsons, Zack, Will, Nick and Jacob; two great-grandsons, Kyler and Eli; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Kenzee; two brothers, Cecil Bane and Darrell Bane; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Pallbearers: Zack Lemings, Will Ward, Nick Bane, Jacob Bane, Hal Ward, Bill Bane, and Ronnie Lemings. Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Bane, Larry Bane, Joey Bane, David Bane, and Stanley Harness.
Visitation was Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, and funeral service was Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Brother Billy Don Crow and Will Ward officiating. Burton Reid
Burton William Reid, 49, of Clinton, died on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Eloise Reid. Survivors include his fiancée, Charlene Provencal; siblings, Mike Reid, Debbie Reid, Morgan Davis, and Elizabeth; three step-children; nine step-grandchildren; six nieces; and three nephews.

Brandon Bilderback
Brandon Michael Bilderback of Shirley, Ark., passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. He was born Jan. 15, 1989, in Conway, Ark., to Mike and Lisa Jeanette (Reichard) Bilderback.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Michael Bilderback, and Lisa Kirkendoll; fiance, Michael Mahler, stepfather, David Kirkendoll, girlfriend and mother of his child, Amanda Johnson, daughter, Caribia Bilderback, five brothers, Ronnie and Paige Kirkendoll, Bobby and Haley Kirkendoll, Teddy Joe Kirkendoll, Michael Kirkendoll, and Shane Harness, two sisters, Amanda and Stanley Young, and Krista and Jay Murdock, nieces, nephew, and many close family and friends.

Russell Newman
Russell Carl Newman, 58, of Bee Branch, Ark., died Monday, June 10, 2013. He was born Jan. 18, 1955, in Waukegan, Ill., to Carl and Hilda (Miller) Newman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Newman. He is survived by his mother, Hilda Newman of Bee Branch, Ark.; two daughters, Brandie Jo and husband Tyndall Jackson of North Little Rock, Ark., and Christina Clark-Gray of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Ranger Robinson of Damascus, Ark., and Tyndall Jackson II of North Little Rock; brother, Randy and wife Wanda Newman of Annandale, Va.; and many friends and relatives.

Laci Feagley
Laci Kate Feagley, 29, of Lewisville, Texas, passed from this life Sunday, June 9, 2013. She was born July 18, 1983, in Conway, Ark. She was a school teacher in Lewisville.
She was preceded in death by three grandparents, Jo Ann Feagley, Billie Ehresman,and Floyd Ehresman; step-brother, Tace Mients; and uncle, Steven Feagley.
She is survived by her father, Jay Feagley of Clinton, Ark.; mother Mitzi Webb of The Colony, Texas; and step-father, Tom Webb of The Colony, Texas; son, Myles Zalenski of Texas; brother, John Feagley of Texas; grandfather, Johnny Feagley of Clinton, Ark.; and grandmother, Barbara Feagley of Clinton; four step-sisters, Kendra Yates, Laci Huereca, Meggan and Dallas Webb; half-brother, Alex Graham; half-sister, Jennifer Honeysuckle; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Ark., with Pastor Gordon Lemings officiating. Inurnment will follow at Hunter Hill cemetery. Local arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Ark.
Irene Casino
Former Clinton resident Irene Casino passed away June 10, 2013. She was 92 years of age and had lived in Clinton throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
She had been living with her daughter Pamela and her son David.
Mrs. Casino was preceded in death by her husband Victor J. Casino Sr. and her son Alvin.
Victor J. Casino II and his wife, Joan, currently reside in her home in Clinton.
