Connie E. Teasley, 97, of Dermott, died March 29, 2001, at Chicot Memorial Hospital at Lake Village.
Born August 14, 1903, at Altus (Franklin County), she was a daughter of the late William E. and Tibiatha Gilbreath Grimes.
She was a member of Halley Baptist Church in Desha County and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. Teasley.
Survivors include one son, William W. Teasley of Vancouver, Washington; one daughter, Bonnie B. Waldrup of Dermott; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Halley Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Christmas officiating. Burial will be in Halley Cemetery by Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ruby Crockett, 76, of McGehee, died March 28, 2001, at McGehee Desha County Hospital at McGehee.
Born November 24, 1924, she was a daughter of the late James and E. Almond Turner.

Born July 4, 1927, in Drew County, she was a daughter of the late Jessie M. Sipes and Vera Wyles Sipes.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Adair; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one son, John W. Adair of Monticello; one daughter, Linda Trull of Monticello; one brother, Ivon Sipes of Monticello; one sister, Jimmie Sipes McGee of Star City; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Campground Cemetery in Drew County with the Rev. Shawn Barnard officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello.

Henrietta Bridgeford, 83, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, died March 24, 2001, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
Born November 6, 1917, at Swan Lake, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late George Moore and Sallie Nunley Moore.
She was a member of the St. Luke AME Church at Hensley, Arkansas. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Wesley Bridgeford Sr.
Survivors include seven sons, Oliver Wesley Bridgeford and Felix Bridgeford both of Omaha, Nebraska, Gerald Don Bridgeford and Edridge Bridgeford, both of Fayetteville, Kervis Bridgeford of Pine Bluff, Sherman Bridgeford of Little Rock, and Ronald Eugene Bridgeford of Las Vegas; one daughter, Thelma Bridgeford of Milwaukee; one stepdaughter, Eldorado Winfrey of Chicago; one brother, Willie Moore of Chicago; two sisters, Ruth Lloyd of Las Vegas and Beatrice Dilworth of Pine Bluff; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Myrtis Lois Whitmire Stevens
Myrtis Lois Whitmire Stevens, 96, of Sheridan, died April 13, 2001, at her home.
She was born August, 3, 1904, in Grant County, a daughter of the late John and Homer Whitmire.
She was a member of the Marlow Baptist Church, near Sheridan, for 68 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Shorty" Stevens, whom she married on May 1, 1919, near Sheridan; a brother, Basil Scott Whitmire, a sister, Murlee Stacks; two sons, James O. Stevens and Tommy "Jr." Stevens; three daughters, Willa Buchanan, Marjorie Sue Stevens and Virginia Ann Stevens; and a grandchild.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Bob Stevens of Colbert, Oklahoma; three daughters, Juanita Benson of Arlington, Texas, and Nancy Tapp and Barbara Nichols, both of Redfield; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Marlow Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Lewallen officiating. Burial will be in Bethel-North Cemetery near Sheridan by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.

She was born August 6, 1927, at Star City, a daughter of the late Julius B. Wyatt and Parilee Handley Wyatt.
Survivors include four sons, Troy Buckhanan, Ryandle Buckhanan and Johnnie Buckhanan, all of Pine Bluff, and Roy Buckhanan of North Carolina; four daughters, Plummie Lancaster, Theadora Woods and Betty Buckhanan, all of Pine Bluff, and Cassandra Buckhanan of White Hall; three sisters, Effie Wyatt of Pine Bluff, Eugene Phillip of Bakersfield, California, and Tinnie Bailey of Los Angeles; 32 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Battles officiating. Burial will be in Henson Memorial Garden by Henson Mortuary.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the mortuary.

She was co-owner of Calvert Auto Sales from 1963 to 1990.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Cantwell.
Survivors include a daughter, Elisabeth Nixon of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Coy Cantwell of Sheridan and J. C. Cantwell of Rison; three sisters, Beatrice Pennington, Maxine McGariety and Mildred Vought, all of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, B.J. Crigg, in 1987.
Survivors include one son, James Crigg of Gurdon (Clark County); four daughters, Alberta Woolems of Star City, Norma Watson and Judy Church, both of Pine Bluff and Charlotte Hawkins of Westwood, California; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.
