Leo Humphreys
Leo Humphreys, 95, of Clinton passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was born Nov. 20, 1918, the third son of Richard M. Humphreys and Anna Pearl Stachey.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Delora Qualls Humphreys; his daughter, Conie S. Reamey of Clinton; and sister, Jessie Pearl Blocker of Hot Springs. As Papa, he nurtured three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Leo served in the Civilian Conservation Corp during the period 1938-40 and was stationed at Pierce, Idaho. He joined the Army Air Corp in August 1941. After completing the A & E Course in 1942, he was assigned to a crew and transitioned to Northern Australia and Port Moresby, New Guinea. He flew 38 missions as Flight Engineer and Top Turret Gunner. On a bombing run on a cargo ship in Hansa Bay, the crew scored two direct hits sinking the ship. TSgt Humphreys was credited with shooting down two Japanese zeros receiving the Air medal with two Oak leaf clusters. When the military expanded the enlisted grades from E7 to E8 and E9, he was in the first groups selected for promotion to each grade. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1965.
He was a Life member of the Gideon’s International, Clinton Camp and longtime member of the Hot Springs and Mt. Ida Camps. He was a member of the Black Springs Lodge #543, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason in both the Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies. He served on the Reed cemetery Board and was instrumental in establishing the South Fork Fire Department. In Mt. Ida, he also served as Justice of the Peace. He loved the Lord and served as Sunday school teacher, Lay Speaker, and numerous positions within his church.
Leo was preceded in death by his five brothers, Rudolph, Ralph, Richard (Dick) Jr., Mervin, and Billy Max Humphreys; one sister, Anita Waggoner; and son, Randall Gabe Humphreys.

Visitation was held Friday, April 18, 2014 from 5-7 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Muddy Creek Church of God, Story, and burial was at the Reed cemetery. Military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.

Mary Bryant
Mary Edith Harrell Bryant, 83, of Clinton, Ark., Austin Community, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014. She was born June 27, 1930, in Anton, Texas, the first child of the late Tennie Edith Bullington Harrell and William “Slim” Harrell. She was a Christian and attended Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wilburn Bryant’ two sons, Ralph Bryant (Christi) and Michael Bryant (Donna); four grandchildren, Russell Bryant, Michelle Gifford, Ryan Bryant and Dana Love; five great-granddaughters, Maddy and Cadie Gifford, Madison Bryant, Ryleigh and Hadley Love; four sisters, Geneva Pearson, Doris Herron, Jean Milliken, all of Anton, Texas, and Zelda Walls of Scotland, Ark.; one brother, J.D. Harrell of Haskell, Texas; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Chism, and brother, Bob Harrell.
Pallbearers: Harold Bryant, Dan Cates, Richard Gawenis, Brett Kimbrell, Ronnie Pearson and Richard Sigler.

Cynthia Hardy
Cynthia Marie Hardy, 59, of Clinton, Ark., passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Cynthia was born Feb. 3, 1955, in Goettinger, Germany.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Hardy.
She is survived by her sons, Jason LeClaire and his wife, Gloria, with their sons Ryan, Tyler and Andrew, and Jeremiey Hardy and his fiancée, Heather Bradshaw, along with their daughter Alexis, Derrick Hardy and his wife, Ashley, with their children Maddison, Sophia and Mason. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Miller and her husband, Gene, and their children Caleb and Jasmyn. She is also survived by her daughter, Mellisa Hardy.
Cynthia is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ericka LeClaire, who leaves behind fiancée Jodie Honeycutt and their children Kimberlee, Erik and Sevanah. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Stella Iverson; her father, Edward Iverson; and her brother, William Iverson.
Eddie Passmore
Edwin “Eddie” Charles Passmore, 62, of Clinton, Ark., passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Ozark Health Medical Center. Ed (Eddie) was born at Marshall, Ark., on April 30, 1951, to Clifton and Helen (Ragland) Passmore.
Ed will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Passmore. He is survived by his mother, Helen Passmore of Clinton; his two daughters, Tina Jo Passmore and her husband, Rick, of Shawnee, Kansas, and Tara Ann Passmore of Paola, Kansas; his granddaughter, Dalton Dixie Lafitte of Shawnee, Kansas; grandsons Austin William Stone of Paola, Kansas, and Cruz Lee Justis of Shawnee, Kansas; his siblings include Bill Passmore and his wife, Sylvia, of Marble Falls, Texas, Pat Burkett and her husband, James, of Greenbrier, Ark., Judy Horner, and Maurice Passmore and his wife, Memory, of Clinton, Ark.; four nieces and one nephew.
The family would like to include a special thanks to the staff at Ozark Health Hospital for their kind and compassionate help. Ruth Morris
Ruth Amanda Morris, 92, of Farmington, Ark., passed away April 11, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1921, at Leslie, Ark., the daughter of James W. and Minie Wood Ennes.
In her early years Ruth and Elbert lived in Chimes and established a family farm there. She would frequently return for several weeks at a time to visit with relatives and friends. Ruth was a longtime resident of Springdale, Ark., where she was a motel owner. She also worked as a waitress and was an outgoing people person. She frequented all the coffee shops in Springdale. She dearly loved her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Morris; four brothers, Tom, Corbett, Bill and Gene Ennes; five sisters, Pearl Fielder, Eltie Freeman, Eady Morris, Burlie Phillips, Lucille Hall. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jo Dunn and husband Basil of Fayetteville, Ark., and Pat Boudrey and husband Jack of Farmington, Ark.; two grandchildren, Travis Boudrey and Tonya Mars and husband Gary; four great-grandchildren, Weston Mars, Steven Mars, Sydney Boudrey and Jackson Boudrey.

Jerry Fry
Jerry Allen Fry, 73, of Higden, born Dec. 22, 1940, passed away April 9, 2014.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Clara Fry; brother, J.T. Fry; and sister, Glenda McCallister. Jerry is survived by his wife, Judith Fry. He is also survived by children, Michael (Nanner) Wade, Jennette (Brian) Tarbill, Robert Jones, Paula Baldwin, all of Rock Falls, Ill., and Shawn Fry of Higden, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat Fulton, Jarrell Fry, Jesse Fry, all of Illinois; and a host a nieces, nephews and other family members.
Adrianne Wilbers
Adrianne Bone Wilbers, 54, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. She was born March 15, 1960, in Batesville, Ark., to Paul L. and Faye (Shoemaker) Bone.
Adrianne was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Faye Bone of Clinton, Ark.; her husband Andy Wilbers of the home; son, Charles Wilbers and Susie of Maumelle, Ark.; son, Matthew Wilbers of the home; one brother, Steven Bone and wife Pam of Clinton, Ark.; one granddaughter, Tenley Wilbers of Maumelle; niece Abigail Bone; cousin Judy Fite; and other numerous friends and family members.
Adrianne attended Clinton High School and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University. She was active in the First United Methodist Church of Clinton where she served on the board, taught Sunday School and was a member of the United Methodist Women. Adrianne and her husband operate several local businesses in the Clinton area. She was an active member of the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on the board of directors. Adrianne also served on the Ozark Health Foundation Board and was active in many other community activities.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, Ark. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Clinton United Methodist Church with Pastor George Odell officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton cemetery. Ruby Baker
Ruby Grace Underwood Baker, 84, of Clinton, Ark., peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2014, at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton. Ruby was born June 21, 1929, in Scotland, Ark., to the late Ernest H. and Iola Love Underwood.
Ruby attended business school in Little Rock. She later worked as a secretary for the Veterans Assistance Programs established under the G.I. Bill, helping many returning World War II veterans, who were forever grateful for her assistance. After her children were born, Ruby became a full-time homemaker and also a full-time secretary and bookkeeper in the family business, Aaron Baker Construction Company. Ruby loved to play “Rook” with friends and was an excellent card player. Ruby was devoted to her family and demonstrated her love for her children and grandchildren everyday of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton and was also loved by her church family.
Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Walter Aaron Baker, and an infant brother, Ernest H. Underwood, Jr. She is survived by two sisters, Wilma Dupree of Little Rock, Ark., and Geralene Johnson and husband Carol of Orofino, Idaho; two sons, Randy Alan Baker and wife Cheryl, and Ronny Aaron Baker and wife Karla; a daughter, Justice Karen Renee Baker and husband David Hogue; four grandsons, Drew Baker, Adam Baker, Evan Hogue and Aaron Hogue; one granddaughter, Emily Hogue; two sisters-in-law, Freda Baker Nichols and husband Darrel Gene of Clinton, Ark., and Yvonne Hall and husband Bill of Moreno Valley, Calif.; a brother-in-law, John William Baker and wife Carlene of Clinton, Ark.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Martha Folsom
Martha James Tomlinson Folsom, 85, of Hot Springs was received by her eternal home on March 25, 2014. Martha was born May 26, 1928, in Choctaw, Ark., to Lilian Huie and James Tommy Tomlinson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Nancy Lynn Moore of Hot Springs; brothers Billy Fred and Louie; and step-brother Roy. Martha is survived by her husband, Sam Folsom; son Richard James of Little Rock; brother Don Tomlinson of Batesville; son-in-law Kim Moore of Hot Springs; granddaughters Hannah, Greta, Rebekah, Abigail, and Emily; and great-granddaughter Alyssa.
Martha had a wonderful and fulfilling career of 42 years at Lake Hamilton High School and was known to many as “Ms. Lake Hamilton.” She dearly loved the staff and students that she served over those many years. Martha was influential in the lives of numerous students and teachers that passed through the school. She loved the children that were under her care, both in the office and on the bus. She loved her garden - planting and sharing with friends. Martha loved her many pets and they loved her. She had so many wonderful qualities that added to the fullness of life for her and others.
A memorial service was held at Lake Hamilton High School Auditorium at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, with Pastor Jimmy Holland leading the celebration of her life on earth and her new home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kamo’s Kids Foundation or Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Ruth Crabtree
Ruth T. Crabtree of Clinton, Ark., passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. She was born March 5, 1959, in Algiers, La., to Harold Charles and Joeann Patricia (Cox) Torres.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Crabtree of the home; three sons, Craig Folse of Deport, Texas, Shane Crabtree and Jeremiah Crabtree, both of Clinton, Ark.; one daughter, Jessica Crabtree of Clinton, Ark.; four grandchildren, Johnathan, Caitlyn, Tabytha and Eathan Folse of Deport, Texas; four sisters, Karen Irico of Little Rock, Ark., Julie Ford of Harvey, La., Amy Burns of Mandeville, La., and Joel Halapin of Wexford, Pa.; two brothers, David Torres of Bentonville, Ark., and Gary Torres of Prosper, Texas; and many close friends.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Ark. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton.
