Nick Jones
Palmer “Nick” Ray Jones, 72, of Choctaw, Arkansas, departed from his earthly home Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014. He was born July 4, 1942, in Goodman, Missouri, to Phillip Martin and Elva Marie (Wiseman) Jones.
He served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1961. Nick was involved with Boy Scouts most of his life and served as a leader from 1977 until his passing. He served as a deacon for many years at the Choctaw Church of Christ. He served in numerous civic organizations and was very active in community affairs. Nick was a godly, loving family man rarely seen without his grandchildren. Nick will be forever in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elva Overstreet and his father, Phillip Martin Jones. He is survived by his wife Sara Lynn (Kidd) Jones of the home; three sons, Phillip Ralph Jones (Jenny) of Choctaw, Arkansas, Edward Ray Jones of Jefferson, Louisiana, Douglas Ray Jones of Choctaw, Arkansas; daughter, Jennifer Brandy Phelps (Kaylan) of Damascus, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Kayla Michelle Meeler, Joel Lindsey Jones, Phillip Ryan Jones, Alexis Leeann Jones, Joshua Lynn Jones and Cooper Ray Jones; sister, Phyllis Marti Shannon (Larry) of Clinton, Arkansas; and many close friends.
Pallbearers: Keith Coward, Steve Bradley, Sam Shannon Jr., Billy Tomlinson, Dewey Bohannon and Johnny Trujillo.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jim Berry, Tom Elliott, Jimmy Duncan, David Frizell, Casey Gifford, Dewey Williams, Joel Jones, Ryan Jones and Josh Jones.
Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, and funeral service was 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Choctaw Church of Christ with Brother Adam Epps officiating. Burial was in Huie cemetery with U.S. Navy Military Honors. Donations maybe made in his honor to the Quapaw Area Council. Jerry Watts
Jerry Lee Watts, 42, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2014. He was born May 27, 1972, in LaPorte, Indiana, to Thomas Darrell Watts and Barbara Reece.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jacob Lee Watts; paternal grandparents, James and Faye Watts; and maternal grandfather, Henry Reece. He is survived by his son, Juston (Sammi) Edwards of Searcy, Arkansas; daughter, Jordan (Jacob) Hightower of Searcy; two grandsons, Ethan Edwards and Wyatt Hightower; his mother, Barbara Reece Feagley of Clinton, Arkansas; his father, Darrell (Sharon) Watts of Greenbrier; grandmother,Opal Reece of Clinton; and many close friends.
He was a loving son, father, and grandfather.
Pallbearers: Jimmy Don Reece, Chris Henson, Tommy Howard, Robert Finton, Steve Howard and Wilbur Lindsey.
Visitation was 10 a.m. and funeral service was 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas, with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating. Lois Barton
Lois Ann Barton, 86, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014. She was born March 5, 1928, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to Thomas Cornelius and Happy Ann (Mahorney) Holt.
She is survived by her husband, James Henry Barton Sr. of the home; her children, David Robison of Queen City, Texas, Jerry Robison of Clinton, John Robison of Van Buren, Arkansas, Ray Robison of Little Rock, Arkansas, James Barton Jr. of Jasper, Arkansas, Jess Barton of Scotland, Arkansas, Brenda Isbell of Clinton, and Janie Robison of Verbena, Alabama; a brother, L.D. Holt of Horatio, Arkansas; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
Lyle Cullum
Lyle Cullum was born to Frank and Arabell Cullum Oct. 25, 1933, in Clinton, Arkansas. His family moved from Arkansas to California when he was 9.
Lyle, a lifetime Fairfield resident, graduated from Armijo High School in 1952 where he was known as one of the “Touchdown twins.” He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Campos Food Fair after 38 years. He married
his high school sweetheart, Eleanor Lozano, and together they raised three children.
He was an honest, hard-working person always ready to help someone in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and a round of golf with his friends. He belonged to the Sirs 99, Moose Lodge, Armijo Alumni Association, Retail Clerks and in earlier years USARC, now known as PACE. He along with many of his family members worked very hard to establish community based services for the developmentally disabled in Fairfield and Vacaville.
He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Eleanor; children Rod (Arlene), Jerry, Lorie (Jim); and five grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Matt, Mark and Petie as well as brothers, JF Cullum, and Bill Cullum. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lorene Morris, Rosie Mae Nicholson, Arzo Cullum, Leo Cullum, Cleo Boyd, Fern Huffman and Dean Scrivner.

Carol Gardner
Carol Gardner, 64, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014. She was born April 19, 1950, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Kenneth F. and Gloria (Ashbrook) Renfroe.
She was an avid music lover who played piano, accordion, and organ for church and community. She accepted Christ as a teenager and affirmed that faith to her family during her battle with lung cancer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Renfroe; infant daughter Angelea Rebecca Gardner; and sister Joan Erickson. She leaves a daughter, Jennifer Hobbs; four grandchildren, Skyler, Kali, Brooke and Emily; her mother, Gloria Renfroe; sister Shawna Weatherly and family; a special aunt, Rosetta Wactor; and Leann Renfroe.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. and funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Arkansas, with Pastor Ester Bass officiating. Bobby McClure
Bobby Gene McClure Sr., 80, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014. He was born Dec. 1, 1933, to Luther Conway and Thelma Pearl (Shipley) McClure.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Weldon McClure, Bill McClure, and Carl Shipley; and one sister, Lucille. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jewel (Crawford) McClure of Clinton, Arkansas; two sons, Richard (Cindy) McClure of Scotland, Arkansas, and Bobby (Jennie) McClure of Clinton; three daughters, Betty (Rick) Brewer of Center Ridge, Arkansas, Shelia (Charles) Solcum of Slidell, Louisiana, and Sharla (Don) Brafford of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Margaret Dowdy of Cape Girarddeau, Missouri, Owedia Crum of Rochell, Illinois, Shirley Tesreau of Frederickstown, Missouri, Patricia Risenhoover of Spring, Texas, and Ruby Greene of Clinton; two brothers, L.J. McClure of Spiro, Oklahoma, and Orvin McClure of Morrilton, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Lisa Marie Tumbleson, age 47, of Damascus, Arkansas, passed away Nov. 11, 2014.
She is survived by her parents, DeWayne and Dena Tumbleson of Greenbrier; daughters Daphne Hartwick and Amber Hartwick; sister Phyllis McMiller; brother, Richard Tumbleson, all of Bee Branch; granddaughter Passion McMackin and grandson Bryson Black and expected Baby Boy Black; and her special friend, Charles Dixson.

Bobby Clever
Bobby Lynn Clever, 66, of Shirley passed away Tuesday. Nov. 4, 2014, in Clinton.
Bobby is survived by children, Bobby Clever Jr., Tammy Turley and Tonya White; five sisters, Debbie Koone, Mary Dillard, Linda Pearson, Betty Matheson, and Ruth McCoy.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at the Culpepper cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Clinton Funeral Service of Clinton.
Jacky Housley
Jacky Housley, 61, of Searcy, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. He was born on Jan. 13, 1953, in Clinton, Arkansas, to Jason and Nora Jean Housley.
Jacky was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Searcy. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He drove a truck for Walmart for 24 years and recently achieved the 3 Million Miles Safe Driving Award for having no accidents, and numerous other awards. He was an avid crappie fisherman and deer hunter and loved doing both with his son, Dustin.
Jacky is survived by his wife of 39 years, Alice Edwards Housley; a son, Dustin, and daughter-in-law, Shiloh, and a very special granddaughter, Savannah, of Searcy; his father and mother, Jason and Nora Jean Housley of Chimes; one sister, Nancy Morris of Little Rock; two brothers, Ronnie (Thereisa) Housley of Marshall, Randall (Ann) of Clinton; and a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Della Housley and Carl and Eula Mathis.

Virginia Moore
Virginia K. Moore 90, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. She was born June 20, 1924, to W.A. and Effie (Griggs) Kemp.
Virginia was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church. She graduated valedictorian of her class in 1942. Virginia was retired as executive secretary to the selective service. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting and cooking.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Garner Moore, her parents, and her brother, Robert Kemp. She is survived by her son and his wife, Robert and Peggy Moore of Newark, Arkansas; her daughter and husband, Joyce and Danny Parish of Bee Branch, Arkansas; her sister, Beulah Boone of Clinton, Arkansas; her brother, Dennis Kemp of Illinois; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

William Fernbacher
William J. Fernbacher, 61, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, longtime resident of Shirley, Arkansas, resided in Richmond, Virginia, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, in Richmond. Bill was born Oct. 16, 1953, to the late William Charles Fernbacher and Claudia Joan Hummel. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Diane Fernbacher, and daughter Frankie Renita Cullum. He is survived by wife Faith Fernbacher; sons Brian Joseph Fernbacher and William Stuart Cullum; daughter Amanda Ann McNolty; grandchildren Elizabeth Fernbacher, Kiley Taub, Ashley Neilson, Jennifer Elliott, Megan Cullum and Tyler Cullum; brother Gerald Fernbacher; and sisters Tracy Fernbacher, Pamela Fernbacher-Boatwright, Sandra Martin, Deborah Fernbacher and Patricia Fernbacher.
