Ernie Cox
Ernie Ray Cox, 87, of Clinton, passed away on October 25, 2014. He was born in Greenbrier, Arkansas, on December 19, 1926, to the late Marion and Martha Cox. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Airwanta Cox, and his three brothers.
Ernie was a retired water well driller.
He is survived by his son, Gary Cox (Emily) of Bee Branch; daughter, Ronda Dotson (Bobby) of Bigelow; grandchildren, Lacey Sturch, Susan Kelley, Tyler Sturch, and Josef Charles; great-grandchildren, Lashaila Harper-Sturch, Grecia Paniagua-Sturch, Lillian Cordero, Estella Cordero, Jay Johnson and Christian Sturch; sisters, Linda Still, Delories Haney and Marvelle Holley; brothers, L.D. Cox and Vernon Cox.
A Memorial will be November 8 at 11 a.m. in Greenbriar. For directions call (501) 398-4937.

Denton Harper
Denton Lee (Tim) Harper was born March 25, 1955, in Garberville, California. He left this world on October 20, 2014, in his home in Dennard, Arkansas, at the age of 59.
Tim is survived by two children, Mary and Jacob of Oregon, his mother, Vida Harper of the home, two brothers, Dillon and Doug of Dennard, and two sisters, Daina of Oxley and Tammy of Dennard. He is preceded in death by his father Bill Harper and a niece, Amber Clancey.
Tim loved God and his family. He enjoyed operating a dozer and cutting timber. He loved his horses and his dogs. Gaming on the computer was a great joy also. He touched many lives.
Buried at Dennard cemetery.

Kenneth Jenkins
Kenneth R. Jenkins, 90, of Clinton was born January 18, 1924, to the late Claud and Mary Williams Jenkins in Arlberg, Arkansas, and passed away October 25, 2014, at his home.
He was a farmer, longtime Van Buren county resident, World War II Navy Veteran and a friend to everyone he met. Mr. Jenkins was known for the registered cattle he raised, was Van Buren County farm family of the year in 2001 and won the Farming for the Future Award for being an outstanding farm conservationist.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Clifford K. Jenkins, five brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Pearl Gates Jenkins, of the home; one son, Major Evans Jenkins (Sylvia) of Clinton; two granddaughters, Emma Franko and Jacqline Gerrero, both of Greenbrier; two great-grand-daughters, Josie and Luz, both of Greenbrier; two sisters, Mildred Ledbetter of Kimberly, Idaho, and Juanita Kimball of Meridian, Idaho; one daughter-in-law, Turi Jenkins of Greenbrier; Edwin Kimball of Meridian, Idaho; and numerous other relatives and countless friends.
A memorial service was held in his honor on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton.

David Britton
David Arthur Britton, 72, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014. He was born Sept.r 26, 1942, in Weslaco, Texas, to David Arthur and Rea (Edwards) Britton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Arthur and Rea (Edwards) Britton, and a sister, Dianne.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Patricia Britton of the home; three daughters, Judy Trevino and husband Romualdo of Houston, Texas, Aimee Taylor of Dallas, Texas, and Heather Burkett and husband Clay of Plummerville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Michael, Jessi, Abby, Brittany, and Erica; and many close friends.
Pallbearers: Sid King, Kerry Ibbotson, Romualdo Trevino, Clay Burkett, Jim Paget, and Royce Johnson.
Funeral service was 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at First Baptist Church Clinton, Arkansas, with Pastor Faron Rogers officiating. Burial was in Hunter Hill cemetery with Masonic Rites. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.

Helen Passmore
Helen Ray Passmore, 93, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at the Ozark Health Nursing Home. Helen was born Dec. 3, 1920 in Rock Springs, Arkansas, to Rueben H. and Eva Lee (Martindale) Ragland.
She was the happiest when her family gathered together. She loved to cook for anyone that came by and made sure they didn’t leave empty-handed. One of greatest joys was going to the river to fish and countless trips to their farm in Leslie to tend the cows. She was always ready for a good game of dominoes and did not like to lose. Rain, sleet or snow wouldn’t keep her from a good yard sale. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clifton “Jode” Passmore, two sons Eddie Charles Passmore and Joe Dale Passmore and one great \-grandson Justin Daniel Palazzo.
Helen is survived by her children, Bill Passmore and his wife Sylvia, Patsy Burkett and her husband James, Judy Horner, Maurice Passmore and his wife Memory; grandchildren, Julie Vanin, Marsha Jones, Stephanie Brown, Martin Horner, Tina Jones, Jennifer Horner, and Tara Passmore. She had eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Phillip Henderson, Phillip Jones, Bill Brown, Martin Horner, Gerald Watts and Danny Boone.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregivers at Ozark Heath Nursing Home for the compassionate and loving care given to our mother and grandmother. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Bradley cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.

E.C. O’Neal
Dr. E.C. O’Neal, 80, passed away on Oct. 11, 2014, at his residence in Starkville, Mississippi. He was a retired Professor Emeritus at Mississippi State University. Born in Franklin County, Arkansas, he was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas and was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Katie O’Neal of Starkville; daughters, Susan Self and Shannon Jones (Mike), all of Starkville; son, Steve O’Neal (J’Nelle) of Brandon, Mississippi; and six grandchildren, Katie, Bonnie and Brandon O’Neal, Morgan Self, and Alex and Andrew Jones.
Visitation for Dr. O’Neal is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. at Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi. Memorial donations may be made to Meadowview Baptist Church, 300 Linden Circle, Starkville, MS 39759 or County Line High School, c/o Tim O’Neal, 3614 O’Neal Rd., Branch, AR 72928, or a charity of your choice.

Eddie Cowsert
Eddie Cowsert, 57, of Choctaw, passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014. He was born in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Eddie grew up and lived near Clinton most of his life after moving here as a child. He worked for Americas inland and coastal marine waterways for 37 years most of which as a Captain. He was currently working along the Gulf of Mexico outside Morgan City, Louisiana.
Eddie was proceeded in death by his father, Charles “C.G.” Cowsert, and his two brothers, Paul Cowsert and most recently Mark Cowsert of Clinton. He is survived by his only son, Cade Cowsert; his mother, Virginia Hicks Cowsert; his brother, Luke Cowsert of Clinton; his sister, Joanie Sanders and husband, Eric, and nephews Eli, 11, and Luke, 9, of Mayflower.
He attended Happy Home Baptist Church in Jefferson, Arkansas.
Eddie had many friends who we wish to thank for their friendship, memories and condolences.
A very small private funeral service will be held by his immediate family alongside the Arkansas River, which Eddie had navigated many times.

Patsy Housley
Patsy Jean (Bell) Housley, 76, of Chimes Community, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014. She was born Aug., 1938, in Smyrna, Arkansas, to Sebastian and Elsie (Pack) Bell.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Pastor Charles Dean Housley; son Joel Dean Housley ( LeeAnn) of Clinton, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Laken and Jaycie Housley of Clinton, and Lindsey Housley of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three brothers, Clendon Bell (Pauline) of Valley Springs, California, Donny Bell (Shirley) of Lodi, California, and Johnny Bell (Joyce) of Hector, Arkansas; four sisters, Pearl Gregory of Hector, Pauline Casey of Falling Water, Arkansas, Joyce Aday (Lyle) of Hector, and Pearalee Freeman of Dover, Arkansas; and brother-in-law Ed Tannehill of Hoxie, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sebastian and Else (Pack) Bell; three sisters, Perny Bell, Mary Bell, and Joann Tannehill; two brothers, Ceatis Bell (Fern), Clinton Bell; and three brothers-in-law, Jack Gregory, Cleave Casey and Leon Freeman.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Pastor Jamen Lee and Brother Don Gillam officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty cemetery Chimes Community. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Missionary Baptist Seminary, 5224 Stage Coach Road, Little Rock, AR 72204. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.

Silas McBee
Silas Don McBee, 67, of Skellytown, Texas, died Sept. 24, 2014 in Skellytown.
Graveside services were Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Memory Gardens cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Steve Huckins, of In the Garden Ministries in Skellytown, officiating. Military honors are courtesy of the U.S. Marine Corps. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mr. McBee was born Aug. 30, 1947, in Borger. He had been a lifelong resident of Skellytown. He married Mary Ann White on November 24, 1972, in Crabtree, Arkansas. Don was a heavy equipment operator with B&B Solvent for 20 years. He was a Baptist, and was a member of the VFW Post #1657 in Pampa. Don was veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War, and received the Cross of Gallantry, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, William Haywood and Beadie Elizabeth Wheat McBee, two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Mary McBee of the home; three sons, Don McBee, Jr. and wife Sarah of Twenty-Nine Palms, California, and Dewayne McBee and James McBee, both of Skellytown; two daughters, Angel McBee and Dallas McBee, both of Skellytown; two sisters, Doris Pickering and Wynona Thomas, both of Borger, and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065.

Linda Lamb
Linda Ann Lamb, 70, of Damascus went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014. She was born Feb. 3, 1944, in Tyronza, Arkansas, to James Emmons and Pauline Gates Emmons. Mrs. Lamb was a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Clinton.
She is preceded in death by brothers James Ray Emmons, Charles Edward Emmons, and sister Brenda Kay Emmons. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Charles Louis Lamb; daughters Charlene Stafford (Jeff) of Damascus and Amanda McKinnon (Josh) of Damascus; sisters Betty Lawson (Pete) of Pineville, Missouri, Faye Sullivan (Huey) of Olla, Louisiana, Donna Chrisler (Floyd) of Bee Branch, Frieda Pennington (Larry) of Bee Branch; and brother James Emmons (Vicky) of Conway. Other survivors include grandchildren Bobby Echols, David Stafford, Austin Ward and Shane Ward; and great-grandchildren Kobe Echols, Evan Echols and Owen Echols, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at New Life Apostolic Church in Clinton, with Brother Wesley Norris officiating. Burial was in Pine Mountain cemetery.
Pallbearers: Andy Becker, Adam Wilson, Duane Stephens, Kenny Long, Eddie Foster and Nathaniel Hicks. Larry Pennington and Jimmy Springer were honorary pallbearers. Arrangements by Bishop-Crites Funeral Home of Greenbrier (501) 679-4400.
