91, a resident of Wedington/Savoy, Arkansas, passed away August 16, 2009 at his home in Wedington/Savoy area. He was born October 21, 1917 in Lebanon, Kansas, the son of Loyd and Emma Goldsworth McFarland.
He attended the White Rock Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ivan served as a medic in the United States Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva McFarland in 2006, one daughter, Emma Jean Edgin, one sister, Ardyce Jost and one grandson, Terry Dean Edgin.
Survivors include one son Denny Edgin and wife Clarice of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, one daughter, Tawana Hillian and husband Larry of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three brothers, Grady McFarland of Denver, Colorado, Kermit McFarland and Aubrey McFarland both of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Mildred Barnard of Virginia; four grandsons, Mike Hillian, Rodney Edgin, Randy Edgin, and Robert Hillian, ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Imogene "Jean" Ruth Tackett
87, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on August 23 2009 at her home in Farmington, Arkansas. She was born February 1, 1922 in Summers, Arkansas, the daughter of Samuel S. and Maude Lea Franks Maxwell.
Jean was a lifetime member of the Rhea Community Church, she worked for many years at IGA and Harps. Jean enjoyed quilting, baking pies and flower gardening.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, DeWanda Jean Overstreet; one son, Wesley Samuel Overstreet; one step daughter, Rosemary Baird; one step son, Sonny Tackett; one sister, Kate Cheatham and one brother, Bobby Maxwell.
Survivors include two sons, J.R. Overstreet of Faxon, Oklahoma and Frank Tackett and his wife, Ruth of Springdale, Arkansas; one step son, Gerald Tackett and his wife, Jeanne, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; four daughters, Elnora Sanders of Faxon, Oklahoma, Vanessa Brown of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Telisa Lowe and her husband, Elzie of Farmington, Arkansas and Molly Hollan also of Farmington, Arkansas; one step daugther, Carolyn Paschal and her husband, Don of Farmington, Arkansas; two sisters, Dorothy Collier of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Deloris Wallace of Lincoln, Arkansas; two step brothers, David Redway of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Buddy Redway of Mesa, Arizona; eighteen grandchildren, one of which she helped raise and was like a son to her, Brady Meadors and his wife Amy, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; twenty four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009 - 2:00 P.M. at Rhea Community Church in Rhea, Arkansas with Billy Lee Franks officiating. Interment will be in the Rhea cemetery in Rhea, Arkansas.

Margaret Elizabeth Oliver
57, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord September 28, 2009 at her home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was born March 25, 1952 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Walter Guy and Alta Lee Cannon Oliver.
Margaret was an active member of the Prairie Grove Church of God where she was song leader. She loved sewing and crocheting and working in her church and played on a bowling team for the disabled. She was a paper carrier for the Northwest Arkansas Gazette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Walter Guy and Alta Oliver, her little sister, Bobbie Jean and one brother in law, Paul Richard Dickerson.
Survivors include one sister, Pat Dickerson of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three nephews, Walter H. Dickerson and his wife, Misty, of Lincoln, Arkansas, Richard L. Dickerson and his wife, Loretta, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and TSgt Thomas Dickerson and his wife, Erin, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven great nieces and nepews, Emma Paige Ryan, Dakota Wayne Dickerson, Madison Dann Raines, Gabriella Denise Raines, Tyler Tucker Dickerson, Paul Dawson Dickerson and Molly Katherine Dickerson; and a host of cousins and good friends.
Roberta Faye Rose
75, a resident of Savoy, Arkansas, passed away June 29, 2009 at her home in Savoy, Arkansas. She was born April 18, 1934 in Hannah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert James and Beatrice Sistrunck Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Rose, three brothers, Cecil Stewart, Bill Stewart and Johnny Stewart and one great grandson, Carter Rose.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Joe Rose of Lincoln, Arkansas and Eual David Rose of Savoy, Arkansas; three daughters, Barbara Faye McDonald of Springdale, Arkansas, Brenda Kay Long of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Sandra Inez Barton of Springdale, Arkansas. Ted Roger Stuart
63, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away September 11, 2009 near Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born July 30, 1946 in Sweetwater, Texas, the son of Tommie and Mary Helen Roden Stuart
Ted grew up in Texas at various ranches managed by his father. He attended Henderson County Junior College in Athens, Texas where he played football. His team won the Jr. College Rosebowl in Pasadena, California. He went on to play football on scholarship at the University of New Mexico. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Later he studied Philosophy at Tulsa University and then Horticulture at Oklahoma State University. After spending time in the Army reserves, he worked as a Bank Examiner with home base in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He later became a Vice President of a bank in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. After studying Horticulture he found his true career path and worked as a Landscape Maintenance supervisor for 27 years. He and his wife, Marcia, moved to Prairie Grove in 1976 and have made this area their home since. Most recently he was semi-retired and worked part time at Colonia Hills Landscaping. He truly loved his family, the wonders of nature and taking care of his land and home on Cove Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia of the home; daughter, Anne Thurman and her husband, Guy and grandchildren, Collin and Eli and daughter, Brooke Chandler and her husband, Matt and grandchild, Kayla; his mother, Mary Helen Stuart of Dripping Springs, Texas; two brothers, Mike Stuart of Cane Hill, Arkansas and Tommie Stuart of Dripping Springs, Texas; one sister, Barbara Wolf of Giddings, Texas.

Imogene Frances Edwards
81, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away September 9, 2009 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born December 3, 1927 at Dalhart, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Imogene Edgar Tindell Silcott.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prairie Grove. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Earl Edwards and one sister, Mary Janice Lewis.
Survivors include three sons, Steve Edwards and his wife, Carol, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, David "Rusty" Edwards and his wife, Debbie, of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Joel Edwards of Springdale, Arkansas; one daughter, Laura "Bessie" Nash and her husband, Mike, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two sisters, Roberta Babb and Anne Briggs both of Pampa, Texas; six grandchildren, Neal Edwards, Jason Edwards, Tracy Rothey and her husband, Seth, Karen Wright and her husband, Zac, Andrea Edwards and Marcie Baker and her husband, Brad; one great granddaughter, Breanna Edwards.

Leola Gertrude Hayes
87, a resident of Gentry, Arkansas, passed away September 3, 2009 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born March 7, 1922 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Myrtle Martin Pascher.
She attended the First Assembly of God in Gentry, Arkansas. She was the mother of eleven children and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney William Hayes, one daugther, Peggy Hayes and one son, William Sidney Hayes.
Survivors include four sons, Duane Little of Bakersfield, California, Kenneth Little of Gentry, Arkansas, John Hayes of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Wayne Hayes of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; five daughters, Sharon Hayes of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Rosa Lee of Watts, Oklahoma, Lois Farrell of Bakersfield, California, Donna Norris of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Doris Hayes of Gentry, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Margaret Hadessah Gibney
Margaret Hadessah Arthurs Gibney was born March 30, 1918 and passed away August 9, 2009 at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 10 days. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to James Clifford and Ora Olive (Smith) Arthurs. She was raised in the Allen-Bowden area of Oklahoma and graduated from Sapulpa, Oklahoma High School in 1934. She married
Paul H. Gibney, March 6, 1937 in Denver, Colorado.
The family lived in Denver for several years, before moving to Prairie Grove. Mr. Gibney was a native of the Bethel Grove/Farmington area. They relocated to Tulsa in 1952 and remained there until they retired and moved back to the Farmington area in the early 1970's.
Margaret worked for 16 years as book-keeper for Menkemiller Drug at 3rd and Boston in Tulsa and later as book-keeper and proof reader for the Tulsa County News. She retired from food service at the Prairie Grove School District in 1992. Margaret moved back to the Tulsa area in 1995 to be near her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Gibney, a son-in-law Tommy E. McDonald; a sister, Hazel N Snow, and two brothers, W.W. “Buster” Arthurs and James N. Arthurs; four nephews, Joseph Wallace, Robert Wallace, Jimmy Snow, Larry Arthurs and one great grandson, Matthew Gibney.
Survivors include a son, Gary P. Gibney and his wife, Donna, of Jenks, Oklahoma; one daughter, Cheryl L. Schuman and her husband, Jeff of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Laura Brewster and her husband, Kent of Bixby, Oklahoma, Leah Gibney Vaughn of Camden, Arkansas, Philip Gibney and his wife, Neysa of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Margaret “Meg” Smith and her husband, Russell of Elkins, Arkansas and Paul Joseph McDonald and his wife, Angula of
Mt. View, Arkansas; fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandsons; a niece, Nancy Arthurs Wood and two nephews, Jerry F. Snow and Jerry W. Arthurs, all of the Tulsa area.
