MONTICELLO -- Melody Inez Knowles Wilson, 34, of Monticello, died November 28, 2001, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born February 25, 1967, at Fordyce, she was a daughter of Louis Knowles of Rison and Ray Nell Beatty Knowles Selman of Pine Bluff.
She was employed by the Cleveland County Herald and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Other survivors include her husband, Stacy Dale Wilson; one daughter, Elizabeth Inez Wilson of Monticello; stepfather, Tommy Selman of Pine Bluff; grandparents, Raymond Beatty and Leona Beatty, both of Watson; one sister, Renee Green of Junction City; and two stepbrothers, Chad Selman of Pine Bluff and Jamie Selman of Rison.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Harold Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Richard Watson
Richard Watson, 94, of 913 East Seventh Avenue, died February 1, 2001, at his home.
Born October 6, 1906, at Yorktown, he was a son of the late Porter and Lizzie Watson.
He was a maintenance worker at Simmons First National Bank.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Lynn Watson of Pine Bluff and Richard Lynn Watson Jr. of St. Charles, Missouri; three daughters, Ada V. Miller and Twonda Shere Watson, both of Pine Bluff, and Velma Williams of Sparkman; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greater Ward Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Michael Washington officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Number 2 Church Cemetery at Tarry by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Bernice Washington "Cotton" Hollinger, 81, of Prattsville, died April 13, 2001, at Sheridan.
He was born September 25, 1919, at Prattsville, a son of the late John Wesley Hollinger and Nancy Roberts Hollinger.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church at Prattsville.
He was retired from the Arkla Meter Repair Shop at Sheridan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louanna Hull Hollinger, whom he married on January 21, 1950; two brothers, Charles Hollinger and Ralph Hollinger; and a sister, JoAnn Walters.
Survivors include his daughter, Dianne Allen of Sheridan; a son, Paul Hollinger of Prattsville; four sisters, Eunice Mooney of Prattsville, Lois Pearson of Little Rock, Orene Caple of Sardis and Floy Sproul of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; two brothers, Dennis Hollinger and Russell Hollinger, both of Prattsville; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sweet Home Church with Don Goodman and Tim Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Jacobs Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.

Elza Parker
Elza Parker, 88, of 6301 S. Hazel St., died August 14, 2001, at Arkansas Convalescent Center.
Born May 21, 1913, in the Cornerville community in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Martin Newton and Blanch Stephens Newton.
She was reared and educated in Jefferson County. She married December 23, 1933, at Pine Bluff, then moved to Cleveland County.
She was a paper carrier for the Pine Bluff Commercial for 13 1/2 years. She was also a sub-mail carrier for the Pine Bluff Post Office.
She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She was a former vice-president of the Woodlawn Parent-Teachers Association, past 4-H Club leader for 15 years and a member of the Home Demonstration Club since 1939.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Parker Sr., who died March 26, 1990.
Survivors include one son, Jesse L. Parker Jr. of Rison; five daughters, Wanda Finley of Zama, Japan, Gladys Tucker, Orpha Howard and Charlotte Traywick, all of Pine Bluff, and June Murdock of Redfield; one brother, Morris Newton of Dumas; one sister, Orpha Gray of Little Rock; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Breshears officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Daisy Crigg
August 17, 1912 - June 27, 2003
Daisy Alberta Womack Crigg, 90, of Pine Bluff, died June 27, 2003, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 17, 1912, at Newark (Independence County), a daughter of the late Robert Polk Womack and Sara Reed Womack.
She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church at Pine Bluff.
She was preceded in death, in 1987, by her husband of 57 years, B.J. Crigg; and two daughters, Dorothy Crigg and Shirley Searcy.
Survivors include one son, James Crigg of Gurdon (Clark County); four daughters, Alberta Woolems of Star City, Norma Watson and Judy Church, both of Pine Bluff, and Charlotte Hawkins of Westwood, California; 17 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at Hale-South Funeral Home at Pine Bluff with Bill Searcy officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Iris Wilkinson
March 10, 1916 - June 30, 2003
SHERIDAN -- Iris Juanita Holiman Wilkinson, 87, of Sheridan, died June 30, 2003, at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 10, 1916, a daughter of the late Eugene David Holiman and Mintie Gross Holiman.
She was a homemaker but in earlier years she worked with her husband at their gas station and grocery store.
She was an active member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Sheridan Riding Club and a senior citizens group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Wilkinson.
Survivors include one sister, Nancy Emogene Hudson of Benton.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at Sheridan with the Rev. John Mooney officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery at Sheridan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Gearldine Stoner
December 27, 1939 - June 29, 2003
STAR CITY -- Gearldine "Jeri" Stoner, 62, of Star City, died June 29, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare at Star City.
She was born December 27, 1939, at Dumas, a daughter of the late Dairl Phillips and Opal Maxine Morris Phillips.
She attended Garrett Bridge Assembly of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynette Kellum of Dumas; one sister, Shirley Burns of Star City; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Griffin Funeral Service at Star City with Don Borland and Jack Bates officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery in Cleveland County.

WHITE HALL -- Jason Lee Lofton, 25, of White Hall, died June 26, 2003, at his home.
He was born August 9, 1977, at Aurora, Illinois, a son of Jackie Lofton of Omaha (Boone County) and Carol Howard Beckwith of Sheridan.
He was the manager of Sonic Drive Inn on Olive Street and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Other survivors include three sons, Tyler Shinn, Brent Lofton and Jacob Lofton, all of White Hall; his stepfather, Clint Beckwith of Sheridan; one brother, Christopher Lofton of Jefferson; two sisters, Sherry Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jackie Lindsey of Hammond, Indiana; and his grandparents, Earl Howard Knox and Dorothy Knox, both of California.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cranford Funeral Home of WhiteHall with Gary Akers officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery at Sheridan.
