89, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away on September 15, 2008 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born August 13, 1919 at Shreveport, Louisiana, the son of John Ivan and Eunice Scott Thrasher Dalrymple.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder, the Occidential Lodge # 436, 32 Degree Scottish Rite, Hella Shrine Temple, He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, retired as Division Manager from SWEPCO, served as chairman of PAMP, member of the Prairie Grove Police committee, served as president of Mt Pleasant, Texas Chamber of Commerce and served as the interim Mayor of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leah Jane Dalrymple in 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Dalrymple of the home; two sons, John Larry Dalrymple and his wife, Dixie of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Homer Ray Dalrymple and his wife, Cathy of Farmington, Arkansas; one daughter, Elaine Jones and her husband, Loyd of Farmington, Arkansas; one stepson, Jerry Lee Freedle and his wife, Stahr of Flower Mound, Texas and one stepdaughter, Terri Alice Masters and her husband, Terrell of Victoria, Texas; eight grandchildren, David Jones, Diane Kulhman, Jason Dalrymple, Scott Dalrymple, Steven Dalrymple, Denise Karnes, Logan Freedle and Alicia Perkins and six great grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

Nellie Belle Sawyer Moore
98, a resident of Oakdale, California, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in Oakdale. Nellie was born August 1, 1910 at Boswell, Oklahoma the daughter of Walter Lee and Melinda Annie Fry Copeland.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Sawyer, Henry Hellbaum and Lewis Moore, along with eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Wilde of Winnipeg, Manitoba; two sons, Jim Sawyer and his wife Donna, of Sonora, California, and Jerry Sawyer and his wife Pat of Oroville, California; six grandchildren, Greg Sawyer and his wife Angela, Tod Sawyer and his wife Cara, Kim Guanzon and her husband Larry, Amber Wilde, Darren Wilde and Tim Sawyer; six great-grandchildren, Trevor, Cameron, Tyler, Heather, Nate and Ian. She is also survived by some of her special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2008 - 2:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Interment will be in the Eighty-Six cemetery near Strickler, Arkansas.

Eugene Kenneth "Tince" Bartholomew
81, a resident of Strickler, Arkansas, passed away August 21, 2008 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born December 5, 1926 at Strickler, Arkansas, the son of Elbert Leslie and May Jones Bartholomew.
Tince served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Bartholomew and one sister, Cleo McCuen.
Survivors include two sons, Michael "Butch" Bartholomew of West Fork, Arkansas, Gary Allen Bartholomew of Johnson, Arkansas; one daughter, Janice Bartholomew of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; his special companion, Betty Underwood of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Leslie Bartholomew of Kansas City; two sisters, Wanda Frazier of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Avis Bailey of Springdale, Arkansas; six grandchildren; Wendy Bartholomew, Barry Bartholomew, David Clayton, Lori Bradley, Gentry Spinks and Whitney Bartholomew; six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 1:00-6:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 4:00-5:00.

Retha L. Reed Lasater
92, a resident of Cane Hill, Arkansas, passed away August 27, 2008 in Cane Hill, Arkansas. She was born April 30, 1916 at Stilwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of George Gillman and Rilda Watson Barker.
Retha married
Roy Lee Reed on July 9, 1938, he preceded her in death in 1969. She later married
Carrol Lassater on February 26, 1981 and he preceded her in death in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. She lived most of her life in the Morrow/Lincoln area and spent the last two years in Cane Hill with her care givers, the Brewton Family. She and her husband, Carrol, operated "The Grill" in Lincoln for 17 years. She attended the Morrow and Lincoln United Methodist Churches.
Survivors include two sons, Damon Reed and his wife, Margaret of Morrow, Arkansas and Jerry Don Reed and his wife, Janet of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one brother, Buster Barker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kenny Reed and his wife, Tina of Morrow, Arkansas, Lea Ann Anderson and her husband, Scott of Inola, Oklahoma, and Marty Reed and his wife, Cindy of Springdale, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Kyle Reed, Kory Reed, Kylea Anderson, McKenzie Reed and Alexander Reed.

Wanda Ellerine McGregor
72, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away August 23, 2008 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born March 7, 1936 at McIntosh, South Dakota, the daughter of Elmer and Catherine Gabel Jameson.
Wanda was a Methodist. She served in the United States Womens Army Corp, was a retired teacher and dairyman. She enjoyed life, nature and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald McGregor, two brothers, James Jameson and Orton Jameson, one sister, Lynne Beaver, two sisters in law, Connie Jameson and Cuma Jameson, one nephew, Mervin Hedlin.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cathy and Bob Wright of McComb, Missouri, Vincent and Doris McGregor of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma, Valerie and Nigel Dawson of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Dawn and Tim Bowers of Lincoln, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three on the way; three brothers, James Jameson of McIntosh, South Dakota, Mervin Jameson of Branson, Missouri, and David Jameson of Warren, Minnesota; three sisters, Lela Utter of Pine River, Minnesota, Violet Conners of Twin Falls, Idaho, Jeanette Larson of Twin Falls, Idaho and Evelyn Larson of Surprize, Arizona.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 - 3:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Andy Newbill officiating.

Ruth Alena Morris
Ruth Alena Morris died on April 8, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Rogers after an extended illness.
She was born near Elkins, Arkansas, on October 19, 1912. Her family moved to Lincoln, Arkansas, during World War I. She graduated from the Belview High School just east of Lincoln. She attended the Fayetteville Business College. Most of her professional life was spent in Fayetteville where she worked for several years in the Washington County Clerk’s office and later as a bookkeeper for several Fayetteville firms. In her later years she lived alone at the family farm in Lincoln. The last few years of her life were lived in Pea Ridge, Arkansas with and then near her long time friend and companion, Janelle Webb Berry.
Ms. Morris was an active worker in the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars auxiliary. She was a strong supporter of local history and made many contributions to the Shiloh Museum in Springdale. She contributed to the museum furniture, dishes, and other items that recreate a room of an Ozark family dwelling typical of the mid-19th century. These acme from her grandparents home, the McGarrah-Reed home just East of Elkins.
Ruth Alena Morris was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt Lee Morris and Emma Reed Morris and three brothers, Earl Morris, John Morris, and Willard Morris. She is survived by one nephew, John Morris, Jr., of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Marie Tanner Parker
71, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on March 23, 2008 at the Fayetteville City Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born March 7, 1937 at Fayetteville, Arkansas the daughter of Oval and Ruth Karnes Tanner.
She was a member of the Little Elm Missionary Baptist Church in Farmington, Arkansas;
She graduated from West Fork High School in 1955 then graduated from American School of Practical Nursing in San Diego, California in 1958. She retired from Washington Regional Medical Center after 45 years of service as a LPN and P.T. Technician. She enjoyed caring for the elderly, gardening and square dancing. Marie and J.O. owned and operated the Parker Lakeview Ranch (PLR Farms) for over 45 years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Olan Parker; her parents, one brother, Cecil Tanner, one sister, Mary Jane Bartholomew Johnson.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, J.O. Parker of the home; one son, Jerry Paul Moyer and his wife, Dyanna of Lincoln, Arkansas; one sister and brother in law, Betty and Ed Burchett of Miami, Oklahoma; one brother and sister in law, O.L. and May Tanner of West Fork, Arkansas; special niece Janice Bartholomew of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Cheyenne Moyer and Caleigh Sue Moyer; five nieces and four nephews
