Mrs. Nellie Mae Wilson, age 95, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Wilson was born March 16, 1914, at New Edinburg, Arkansas, and had lived in Texarkana for most of her life. She was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Wilson, a granddaughter, Leslie (Kim) Belk, and a daughter-in-law, Gleoria Wilson.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Wilson of Texarkana, Arkansas, one son, Norvin Wilson of Texarkana, Arkansas, one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Belk of Texarkana, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Terri Barker of Texarkana, AR, Cindy Foster of Maud, Texas, Dana Brooks of Texarkana, Texas, and Kelly Wilson of Little Rock, Arkansas, one sister, Ruthie Corpino of Pittsburg, Kansas, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A. M. Saturday at East Memorial Gardens with Rev. Craig Jenkins officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

William Wright
Mr. William Lee Wright, age 82, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in a local hospital.
Mr. Wright was born November 17, 1927, at Texarkana, Arkansas, and had lived all of his life in Texarkana. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was retired from Red River Army Depot. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Berneice Tyl Wright.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Beverly Wright of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Lewis and Toni Wright of White Oak, Texas, one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jeff Kling of Friendswood, Texas, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P. M. Friday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. David Kassos officiating. Burial will be at East Memorial Gardens.

James Manley Ramsey
James Manley (Jim) Ramsey, age 66, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Ramsey was born January 23, 1944, at Toledo, Ohio and had lived in Texarkana for the past 16 years. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and a retired Wrecker Operator.
Survivors include his wife, Allison Zirges of Texarkana, Arkansas, his mother, Mary Elizabeth Ramsey of Corpus Christi, Texas, one sister, Kollette Emmons of Corpus Christi, Texas, one daughter, Christina Borah of Hooks, Texas, two sons, Jason Ramsey and Michael Ramsey of Texas, one step son, Jason Hicks of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P. M. Saturday at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

Mr. Lee Vaughn Robertson, age 88, of Fouke, Arkansas, died Friday, February 26, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Robertson was born September 22, 1921, at Fouke, Arkansas and had been a lifetime resident. He was a member of the Fouke Church of Christ, retired from Red River Army Depot, and a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II as a Corporal and receiving the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Attaway Robertson, and a son-in-law, Harold Bobo.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Madelene Bobo of Fouke, Arkansas, and Sharon and Halton Jones of Fouke, Arkansas, one sister, Esther Attaway of Fouke, Arkansas, four grandchildren and spouses, Ray and Macy Bobo of Texarkana, Arkansas, Justin and Michelle Bobo of Texarkana, Texas, Chris Jones of Fouke, Arkansas, and Tammy and Chris Oliver of Fouke, Arkansas, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Monday at the Fouke Church of Christ with Johnny Pistole officiating. Burial will be at Concord cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with military rites.

Mrs. Edna Mae Friday, age 73, of Genoa, Arkansas, died Friday, February 26, 2010, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Friday was born November 13, 1936, in Miller County, Arkansas, and had lived all of her life in Miller County. She was a member of the Genoa Church of Christ, was a seamstress, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mike Keith.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Gayle and Jimmy Dale Wooten of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Sharon Kelly of Fouke, Arkansas, two sons, Tommy Lynn Redfearn and Stevie Redfearn of Genoa, Arkansas, one brother, David Friday of Genoa, Arkansas, one sister, Liz Purifoy of Genoa, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. Monday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Jerry Monholland and David Adams officiating. Burial will be at Holly Springs cemetery.

Laurel Montana Holcombe, age 19 of Texarkana, AR died from injuries from an automobile accident on March 1st.
Laurel was born May 6, 1990 in Texarkana, TX. She was a homemaker and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Garry Holcombe of Carrollton, TX and grandmother Juanita Vathis of Texarkana.
She is survived by one son, Landon Shelley of Texarkana, AR, her parents, Jerry and Linda Gross of Texarkana, AR, Misty and Rob May of Carrollton, TX, one brother, Glenn Gross of Texarkana, AR, grandmother, Corky Holcombe of Carrollton, TX, brother and sister, Kanon Hess and Tyler May of Carrollton, TX; stepfather, Glenn Hess of Irving, TX, two aunts, Kellie Morton of Ogden, AR and Hollie Ward of Ogden, AR, many cousins and friends.
Services will be Thursday at 2 P.M. at the chapel of Texarkana Funeral Home, TX with Rev. Bruce Bennett and Rev. Vicki Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, TX.

Steve Derek Stone, age 30, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in a local hospital.
Steve was born February 13, 1980, in Texarkana, Texas and had lived all of his life in Texarkana. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, the Runnin WJ Ranch, the Challenger Bowling League, and was a client of Rainbow Industries at Hope, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Stone.
Survivors include his mother, Minnie Etta Stone of Texarkana, Arkansas, uncles and aunts, Ben and Laverne Purifoy of Genoa, AR, Frances and James Cornett of Austin, TX, Edith Allen of Horatio, AR, Frank and LaVene Purifoy of Texarkana, TX, Robert and Sue Purifoy of Genoa, AR, Patricia and Gary Overmyer of Texarkana, Tx, Thelma and Jake Weaver of Texarkana, AR, and June and William Little of Texarkana, TX, a loving care giver, Diane Carper, and a number of cousins.
