Warren A. Witt
Warren A. Witt, age 82, of Wynne, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999.
He was born Nov. 8, 1916, in Jonesboro, and was the son of William J. Witt and Ada Evans Witt. He was a fire claims adjuster for Old Reliable Insurance Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Wynne Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Barness Witt of Wynne; a son, Gary Witt of Memphis; a sister, Juanita Waddell of Jonesboro, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at 1 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, with Bro. Wes George officiating with burial following in Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Flora Neel
Flora Neel, age 94, of Edgewater, Fla., formerly of Forrest City, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at her home.
She graduated from the former Arkansas State Teachers College and received her master's degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, San Antonio and Volnsia Educators Association and was a member of the Texas and National Education Associations and represented San Antonio at annual NEA meetings. She taught in Arkansas, Texas and Florida.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Faith Gilliam of Oak Hill; two step daughters, Wylodine Lutz and Martha Cook, both of San Antonio; a sister, Virginia Sparks of Memphis; three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Volushia County Creamation of Daytona Beach, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.

Walter E. Whitlatch Jr.
Walter E. Whitlatch Jr., age 73, of Wynne, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Forrest City.
He was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Obion, Tenn., to Walter and Loraine Whitlatch. He had lived in Forrest City most of his life. He was retired from Arkla Gas, a veteran of World War II, and attended the Fitzgerald Baptist Church.
He married Shirley Eslinger in 1942, and she preceded him in death in 1994. He married Ann Jordan in 1995, and she survives him along with a son, Tim Whitlatch of Milwaukee, Wis.; four daughters, Linda Larmore of Florida, Pat Whitlatch of Palestine, Vicki Long of Judsonia, Jill Shiplett of Searcy; his mother, Loraine Whitlatch of Mississippi; a brother, Charles Whitlatch of North Carolina; four sisters, Oleida Stewart and Juanita Martin, both of Mississippi, Dorothy Hale of Camden, Jo Lofton of Texas; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters: Judy Chapman and Kathy Nerns.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Clara Louise Dempsey
Clara Louise Dempsey, age 78, of Pine Tree, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at her home.
She was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Helena and was the daughter of A.C. Bieber and Bessie Harris Bieber. She was a resident of Pine Tree for most of her life where she was a housewife and a member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church.
She married Thelmer Dempsey in 1945, and he survives her along with a son, Wayne Dempsey of Pine Tree; two daughters, Margaret Garrett of Forrest City and Nita Kennedy of Colt; one brother, Leroy Bieber of Forrest City; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Barnes in 1987.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Yates officiating with burial following at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Paul James Coulter
Paul James Coulter, age 60, of Wynne, formerly of Marianna, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, in Little Rock.
He was born May 15, 1939, in Lee County and was the son of Dee Paul Coulter and Mattie Ruth Pounds Coulter. He was a carpenter and a farmer.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Dee and Margrette Coulter of Moro; three daughters, Rebecca Capps of Lynn, Ark., Paula McGee of Wynne and Paulette Evans of Star City; three brothers, Carl Coulter of West Memphis, Robert Coulter of Morrilton and Wayne Coulter of Marianna; two sisters, Jean Woodruff of Fort Smith and Margie Harris of Aubrey; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Coulter and his mother.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Morgan Funreal Home Chapel with Rev. Gaylen Hendrix officiating with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.

Rachel Ray Kilgore
Rachel Ray Kilgore, age 54, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 27, 1945, in Willard, Miss. and was the daughter of Sylvester Montgomery and Glenda McGregory Montgomery.
She is survived by four daughters, Martha Kilgore, Brandy Kilgore and Linda Kilgore, all of Forrest City and Nancy Kilgore of Marianna; two sons, Jerry Kilgore and Jimmy Kilgore, both of Forrest City; one sister, Ora DuBalls of Memphis; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Woodhouse Mortuary on Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, from 12 noon until 6 p.m. and a wake will also be held Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Hamilton Sr. officiating with burial following in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.

Roderick Q. Peacock
Roderick Q. Peacock, age 20, of Wynne, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999.
He was born December 5, 1978, in Forrest City and was the son of Henry E. Peacock and Patricia Peacock.
He is survived by his parents, Henry Peacock of Forrest City and Patricia Peacock of Wynne; two sons, K'Dalphia R.Q. Peacock of Forrest City and Justin L. Peacock of Memphis; one brother, William Henry Peacock of Forrest City; grandparents, William C. and Virginia Peacock of Forrest City and Elisha and Celoten Green of Widener.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Clay Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at 10 a.m. at the Rising Sun M.B. Church with Rev. Kenneth Lofton officiating with burial following in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Juanita D. Wilburn
Juanita D. Wilburn, age 96, of Madison, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at her home.
She was born Feb. 1, 1903, in Madison. She was a retired Madison school teacher.
She is survived by a daughter, Ouida M. Allen of Madison; a son, Isaac Wilburn Jr. of Forrest City; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Clay Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at 1 p.m. at Madison Light Baptist Church with Rev. Lonzo Gatlin officiating with burial following in Madison Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Eunice Beck Hemphill
Mrs. Eunice Beck Hemphill, of Hughes, died Tuesday in West Memphis.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Hughes at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 2, from 6-9 p.m. Stevens Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Harold Rice
Rev. Harold Rice, age 78, of Wrightsville, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at his home.
He was a native of Greenup Co., Kentucky, and was the son of the late John and Willia Heaberlin Rice. He was a minister at First Christian Church in Wrightsville for over 25 years and was an accomplished musician of many instruments.
He is survived by his wife, Majel Rice of Wrightsville, Ga.; two sons, Gary Rice of Lake Well, Fla. and Mitch Rice of Dundee, Fla.; two brothers, John Rice of Dallas, Texas and Paul Rice of Cincinnati, Ohio; six sisters, Verna Melvin of Wortkind, Ken., Ann Ingram of Greenville, Tenn., Ester Ferguson and Dottie Duncan, both of Ashland, Ken., Gwen Clark of Miamiburg, Ohio and Brit Bridges of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at First Christian Church with Rev. James Hutto officiating with Richard & Joyce Stanley Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
