Annie Mae Adamson
Mrs. Annie Mae Adamson, age 83, of Colt, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Adamson, born Jan. 24, 1919, in Forrest City, was the daughter of Henry Coleman and Julie Aaron Coleman. She made her home in the Forrest City area for all of her life and was retired from Reltoc Sewing Plant. She was a Baptist by faith.
In 1934 Mrs. Adamson married Marion F. Johnson and he preceded her in death in 1971. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Dennis of Colt and Bettye Yarbro of Pangburn; a sister, Mabel Johnson of Camden; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Adamson will be held, Monday, March 25, 2002, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Adamson will be held, Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with Rev.J.E. Hughes and Rev. Bud Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Carrie Mae Dubois Maness
Mrs. Carrie Mae Dubois Maness, age 91, of Palestine, died Sunday, March 24, 2002.
Mrs. Maness, born Feb. 1, 1911, in St. Louis, Mo., was the daughter of Charles Dubois and Carrie Schflin Dubois. She has lived in Palestine since 1946 and was a housewife and a member of the Water Tower Baptist Church in St. Louis.
In 1927 Mrs. Maness married James Fred "Buster" Maness and he preceded her in death in 1972.
She is survived by a son, Charles Maness of Palestine; a daughter, Sherrin Rae Frazier of Paragould; seven grandchildren and seven-great grandchildren. Mrs. Maness was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dorothy Sue Pratt in 2000.
Visitation for Mrs. Maness will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, May 27, 2002, at 2 p.m. in Stevens Chapel with Rev. Wes Beavers officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Bonnie Fay Snelson
Ms. Bonnie Fay Snelson, age 59, of Forrest City, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Ms. Snelson, born Sept. 29, 1942, in Tennessee, was a housewife and a Pentecostal.
She is survived by a daughter, Velma Hall, of Forrest City; two brothers, Jackie Makemson of Forrest City and Paul Neal Makemson of Brinkley and a grandson.
Visitation services for Ms. Snelson will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Morgan Chapel. Funeral services for Ms. Snelson will be held, Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Morgan Chapel with Bro. Rayburn Melton officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.

Howard Whitehead
Mr. Howard Whitehead, age 70, of Wynne, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne.
Mr. Whitehead, born May 6, 1931, in Gunter's Mountain, Ala., was the son of Wes Whitehead and Florence Pruitt. He lived in Cross County for 30 years and was a retired soybean and rice farmer.
Mr. Whitehead is survived by his wife, Louella Martin Whitehead of Wynne; a son, Roger Dale Whitehead of Wynne; two daughters, Linda Faye Stevenson of Forrest City and Brenda Kay Hunt of Wynne; four sisters, Plumer Weeks, Ruth Kiggins, Pauline Yarbrough and Kathleen Franklin, all of Osceola; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and a sister.
Visitation services for Mr. Whitehead will be held, Tuesday, March 26, 2002, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Graveside services for Mr. Whitehead will follow at 10:45 a.m. at Halk Cemetery in Wynne with Rev. T. G. Ramsey officiating. Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne is in charge of arrangements.

Floyd Benson
Mr. Floyd Benson, age 82, of Forrest City, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Benson, born Oct. 3, 1919, in Felton, was the son of Levi Benson and Martha Branch Benson. He was a retired employee of Yale Hoists.
Mr. Benson was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Tomlin Benson on Dec. 5, 2000.
He is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Brittnum, Linda Love and Janis Benson, all of Forrest City; two sons, Ronnie Benson of McDonald, Ga. and Ricky Benson of Forrest City; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Benson will be held Friday, March 22, 2002, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. A second visitation service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2002, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Summerfield M.B. Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2002, at noon, with Pastor Ricky Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Grove Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.

Bobbie Cleo Parker
Mrs. Bobbie Cleo Parker, age 79, of Palestine, died Saturday, March 16, at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Parker was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jeb Andrew Watkins and Emma Miller Watkins. She lived in Palestine most of her life, was a past employee of Reltoc Manufacturing, and was a member of the Palestine Church of Christ.
Mrs. Parker married Jack C. Parker in 1959, and he survives her along with one son, Charles Lobban of Pasadena, Texas; two daughters, Sandra Pruett of Gadson, Ala., and Barbara Ann Dodson of Houston, Texas; one sister, Marie Hendrick of Little Rock; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held at the Palestine Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2002, with burial in Bell Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Forrest Ellis
Mr. Forrest Ellis, age 82, of Pine Tree, died Friday, June 21, 2002, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Ellis was born July 12, 1919, in Pine Tree, the son of Whit and Elmer Ellis. He made his home in the Pine Tree area all of his life, and was a member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church.
Mr. Ellis is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Ellis will be Saturday, June 22, 2002 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home on Sunday, June 23, 2002 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Mattie Marie Hollis
Mrs. Mattie Marie Hollis, age 91, died Thursday, June 20, 2002 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Hollis was born Sept. 13, 1910, in Lee County and was the daughter of John Henry and Minnie Johnson Harbin. She was a member of the Oak Hill Church of God.
Mrs. Hollis is preceded in death by her husband, John Hollis, one brother, Henry Harbin, and two sisters, Lucy Hastings and Mary Jane Harbin. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Hollis will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held graveside at Forrest Park Cemetery at 11 a.m. under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Delores Eulene Gorman
Mrs. Delores Eulene Gorman, age 73, of Ash Flat, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at the Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat.
Mrs. Gorman was born on Oct. 6, 1928 in Madison and was the daughter of George Dewey Neely and Carmon Virginia Reed Neely. She lived in Madison most of her life, was a past employee of Baptist Memorial Hospital and a member of the Madison Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gorman is survived by two daughters, Sandy Holland of Ravenden and Coretta Lassise of Aurora, Colo.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Gorman will be held Sunday, June 23, 2002, at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, with burial to follow in Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Thomas Joseph Baldwin
Mr. Thomas Joseph Baldwin age 53, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and San Carlos, Mexico, died on Thursday, March 7, 2002, Hermosillo, Mexico. His death came after a short illness.
Mr. Baldwin was born June 17, 1948, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was the son of William T. Baldwin Jr. and Violet Dowless Baldwin. He was retired from the Salt Lake City Tribune. Mr. Baldwin was a Methodist and a veteran of Vietnam.
Mr. Baldwin is survived by his parents, William T. and Violet Baldwin of Forrest City, Arkansas; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Ruth Baldwin of Forrest City; a sister and brother-in-law Dian and Robert Bacon of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two nieces, Blakely Baldwin and Katie Bacon; two nephews, Trey Baldwin and Bill Bacon. Also special friends the Perez family of Senora, Mexico .
The Burial will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at 10:00, at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00, at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Rex Darling will be officiating the service. The family request memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Melanoma Research Foundation. Under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
