Wallace Macron Nichols
Mr. Wallace Macron Nichols, age 80, of Newcastle, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Nichols was born July 27, 1922, in Newcastle, the son of Macron A. Nichols and Mable Webb Nichols. He lived in the Newcastle area all of his life, was a trucker and a Baptist.
Mr. Nichols married Juanita Draughon in 1942 and she preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by one son, Roger Nichols of West Memphis; one daughter, Janice Lee of Cullman, Ala.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mr. Nichols will be held graveside at Loughridge Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Burlon Davis officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Robby Tyrone Mckeown
Mr. Robby Tyrone Mckeown, age 31, of Jonesboro and formerly of Marianna, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002.
Mr. Mckeown was born Feb. 23, 1971, the son of Isiah and Carrie Mckeown in Memphis. He is survived by his wife, Ann Denise Mckeown; six children, Tenesha Chatwood, Robby Mckeown Jr., Roslyn Mckeown, Wanda Tooms, Cory Lambert and Tory Lambert all of the home; four brothers, Isiah Mckeown III, James Mckeown, Patrick Mckeown and Justin Mckeown; five sisters, Sherrill Jones, Barbara Williams, Lakesha Mckeown, Yolanda Mckeown and Latoya Mckeown; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Mckeown and a brother, Kenneth Mckeown.
Visitation for Mr. Mckeown will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in West Helena. Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the New Bethel Church of God in Christ in Hughes with Rev. Isiah Mckeown III officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgram Cemetery in Marianna under the direction of Brown Funeral Home of West Helena.

Marline Elizabeth Weddington
Mrs. Marline Elizabeth Weddington, age 89, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002.
Mrs. Weddington was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Cherry Valley, the daughter of Walter Hardin and Annie Cook Hardin. She made her home in Forrest City most of her life, was a housewife and a charter member of the Second Baptist Church.
Mrs. Weddington married Raymond Weddington in 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1967. She is survived by three sons, Larry W. Weddington of Wynne, Ewell W. Weddington of Little Rock, Darrel G. Weddington of Forrest City; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation for Mrs. Weddington will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Evette McKinney
Ms. Evette McKinney, age 30, of North Little Rock, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at the UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.
Ms. McKinney, born June 6, 1972, in Forrest City, was the daughter of Melvin McKinney of Evanston, Ill. She was a former employee at Sanyo Manufacturing.
Ms. McKinney is survived by her father; two daughters, Shawnessi Block and Marquette Stricklen, both of Forrest City; a brother, Melvin McKinney of Winfield, Ill.; a sister, Diedre McKinney, of Winfield, Ill.; grandfathers, Rev. Lee Hamilton Sr. of Forrest City and John McKinney Sr. Kansas City, Mo.; a grandmother, Daisy McKinney of Kansas City, Mo., and many relatives and friends.
Visitation services for Ms. McKinney will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Lane Chapel CME Church with Rev. Ronald Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Mary Holmes Cunningham
Mrs. Mary Holmes Cunningham, age 69, of Pensacola, Fla., died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, in Pensacola.
Mrs. Cunningham, formerly of Forrest City, served for many years as a recreation director with the U.S. Army. She was a Methodist by faith.
Mrs. Cunningham is survived by her husband of 51 years, Walter E. Cunningham; a son, Walter S. Cunningham of Pensacola; a daughter, Melanie Paquin of Memphis; a brother, Sonny Holmes of Forrest City; a sister, Regina Hastings of Pensacola, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Cunningham will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church with Dr. Philip E. McVay officiating. Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests memorials be made to the Cokesbury United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5725 N. Ninth Avenue, Pensacola, Fla., 32504.

Robert Calvin "R.C." Veasley
Mr. Robert Calvin "R.C." Veasley, age 61, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Veasley, born Aug. 7, 1941, in Parkin, was the son of Olen Veasley and Josie Lee Veasley. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Washington Veasley of Forrest City; three daughters, Shirley Veasley of Pine Bluff, Farrah Williams of Jonesboro, Kitty Mays of Forrest City; six sisters, Cora Jean Veasley of Rochester, N.Y., Frankie Veasley of Chicago, Ill., Sandra Pittman and V'Essie Waldroup, both of Jonesboro, Mary Ann Veasley of Ona, Fla., and Bobbie Smith of Jonesboro; two brothers, John Lee Veasley of Jonesboro and Michael Veasley of Forrest City and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation services for Mr. Veasley will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at noon at New Light M.B. Church with Rev. Jesse McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.

Mrs. Helen Busby, age 91, of Marion, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Marion.
Mrs. Busby, a long time resident of Caldwell, was born Jan. 4, 1911. She was a housewife and a member of Caldwell Baptist Church.
Mrs. Busby is survived by a son, Dicky Busby of Marion; a daughter, Barbara Key of Longview, Texas; a sister, Eunice Brown of Caldwell; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Busby.
Funeral services for Mrs. Busby will be held graveside, Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nora Bell Hutchinson
Mrs. Nora Bell Hutchinson, age 80, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.
Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by three sons, Bob Allen Leisure and Melvin Woodrow Leisure both of Forrest City, and Lloyd Wayne Leisure of Brinkley; two daughters, Shirley Rose Chism of Moro and Polly Ann Travis of Forrest City; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hutchinson were held today, Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at 10 a.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe was in charge of arrangements.

James Willard Sharp
Mr. James Willard Sharp, age 73, of Wynne, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Sharp was a self-employed brick layer and was employed at Yale and Towne for 10 years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Forrest City, and the Lions Club in Palestine. He was also a member of the Local 5 Brick Layers Union and the Calvary Apostolic Church.
Mr. Sharp is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Graves Sharp of the home; five sons, Rickey Sharp of Cherry Valley, Sam Sharp of Newcastle, Calif., Buddy Sharp of Dallas, Texas, Bobby Sharp of West Memphis and James Sharp of Colt; four daughters, Catherine Farrish and Martha Grosvenor both of Carrollton, Texas, Annette Sharp of West Memphis and Patsy Marie Moore of Pearl River, Miss.; one brother, Douglas Sharp of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Ollie Coggins of Trumann; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Sharp and his first wife, Veletret Roberts Sharp.
Visitation for Mr. Sharp will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Apostolic Church in Wynne. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
