General B. Williams
Mr. General B. Williams, age 51, of Forrest City, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Williams was born Oct. 22, 1948, in Forrest City. He was a factory worker
He is survived by his wife, Annie Williams of Forrest City; his mother, Iola Williams of Forrest City; a son, Ronald Williams of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Patricia Williams of Chicago, Ill.; six brothers, David Williams of Little Rock, John James of Gary, Ind., Carl Williams, Edward Williams, Jerome Williams Jr., and Richard Williams, all of Forrest City; nine sisters, Joyce Williams of Atlanta, Ga, Velma Thompson of Arlington, Texas, Mary Moton, Lavern Alexander, Claudine Gordon, all of Chicago, Ill, Carolyn Jackson, Rita Phillips, Jean James, Pauline Daniel, all of Forrest City; and one [DEMO]hild.
Visitation will be today, Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, From 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home and Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Salem M.B. Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. at Salem M.B. Church with Elder Elsie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Bessie Louise Rodgers Freeman
Mrs. Bessie Louise Rodgers Freeman, age 70, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
She was born March 13, 1929, in Caldwell to Homsie and Lena Rodgers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Freeman and her sister, Fannie Bailey.
She is survived by a daughter, Alline Freeman Warren of Dallas, Texas; seven sons, Larry Freeman, Charles Freeman, Marcus Freeman, Dexter Freeman, Frederick Freeman and William Freeman, all of Forrest City, and Barney Freeman, of Little Rock; two sisters, Mary Davis of Detroit, Mich., and Elizabeth Graham of [DEMO]apolis, Ind.; a godson, Freddie Cochran; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held Monday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home. A wake will be held Monday, Feb. 14, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beth Salem Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. at Beth Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow at Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.

Jaidan Quincy Graham
Infant Jaidan Quincy Graham died Feb. 10, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
He is survived by his parents, Trina A. Graham of Widener, and Jay A. Malone of Madison; his grandparents, Rosie Graham of Widener, and Otha Malone of Madison; great grandmothers Irene Moore of Widener, and Helen Malone of Madison.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, from 11 a.m. until noon, and funeral services will be held at noon, in the chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary with the Rev. Marland Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.

Jackie Hunt
Jackie Hunt, 87, of Brinkley, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Cla-Clif Nursing and Rehab Center in Brinkley.
She was born in Mississippi on Feb. 6, 1913, to William Pickens Ledbetter and Ora Elizabeth Robertson Ledbetter. She worked for the Van Heusen Co. before her retirement, and was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Franklin Hunt of Brinkley; two sons, James Allen McCarty of Bald Knob, and Donald Eugene McCarty of Shulter, Okla.; two daughters, Patricia Ann Gillenwater of Moro, and Linda Faye Barman of Scottsville, Ky.; a sister, Willie Alice Freeman of Jonesville, La; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, Monday, Feb 14, 2000, at 10 a.m. at Fowler Funeral Home chapel in Brinkley, with Bro. Bill Elliott officiating. Burial will followed in Hunter Cemetery under the direction of Fowler funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hunter Cemetery Association in Hunter.

John Floyd Pannell
Mr. John Floyd Pannell, age 90, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at the Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City.
He was born Sept. 10, 1909, in Pontotoc, Miss., to Rufus Pannell and Nancie Bedford Pannell. He lived in Forrest City most of his life, was a retired manager of the Manor House Apartments and was a Baptist.
Mr. Pannell married Marie Swiney in 1938, and she survives him along with a daughter, Margarette Dooley of Forrest City; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held today, Feb. 14, 2000, at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial was held in Forrest park cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Jesus Juan Patricio
Mr. Jesus Juan Patricio, age 30, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in Mississippi.
Mr. Patricio was born Sept. 13, 1969, in Mexico, to Augustine Patricio and Juana Moreno Patricio. He lived in Forrest City since 1995, and was an employee for Allied Universal Chemical Company in West Memphis.
Mr. Patricio married Annetta Roberts in 1990, and she survives him along with a son, Alexander Patricio, of Forrest City; two daughters, Chrystal Patricio and Dolly Douglas, both of Forrest City; his parents of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Augustine Patricio Jr. and Alfredro Patricio, both of Chicago, Ill.; and a sister, Lupita Patricio of Chicago, Ill.
A private memorial service will be held at a later time with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lois Bryant Peeler
Lois Bryant Peeler, 85, of Wynne, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Cross Ridge Hospital in Wynne.
She was the widow of James Hollis Peeler and the daughter of the late Fred Bryant and Ethel Bennett Bryant. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Bryant.
Mrs. Peeler lived in Wynne all her life and was a member of Wynne Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Toni Ellis of Forrest City, and Betty Hollis Kennedy of Wynne; two brothers, Elliott Bryant and T.J. Bryant, both of Wynne; a sister, Jeanne Roberts of Wynne; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne, with the Rev. Wes George and Rev. James Tallant officiating. Burial was in Crosslawn Cemetery in Wynne. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Wynne Baptist Church.

George M. "Buck" Steward
Mr. George M. "Buck" Steward, age 41, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Steward was born March 25, 1958, in Chicago, Ill., to Junior Ray Steward and Dixie Lee Self Steward. He lived in Arkansas since 1970, and had been associated with the Kaleidoscope in Forrest City for several years.
He is survived by his father, Junior Ray Steward of Marianna; his mother, Dixie Lee Steward of Forrest City; his step-mother, Cathy Steward of Marianna; two brothers, Rick Steward of Forrest City, and Terry Steward of Marianna; three sisters, Patty Kincaid of Evansville, Ind., Faye Watson of Forrest City and Patty Laymon of Marianna.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Edgar William Borden Jr.
Mr. Edgar William Borden Jr., age 59, of Colt, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at the U.A.M.S. Hospital in Little Rock.
Mr. Borden was born Sept. 8, 1940, in Colt to E.W. Borden Sr. and Mattie Borden. He lived in Colt all his life, was the St. Francis County Assessor for the past 11 years and was a member of the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Borden, and a sister, Elizabeth Milton.
He married Judith "Judy" Ann Kelso in 1960, and she survives him along with a son, Buddy Borden of Colt; two daughters, Debbie Marquis of Cabot, and Krystal Hill of Colt; five brothers, J.C. Borden of Memphis, Leonard Borden of Russellville, Johnny Borden of Jonesboro, Alfred Borden and Walter Borden, both of Colt; a sister, Jewell Baskins of Colt; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Monday, Feb. 21, at the New Prospect Missionary Church at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Loughridge Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials be made to New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.

Elizabeth J. Coleman
Mrs. Elizabeth J. Coleman, age 82, of Forrest City, formerly of Memphis, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Coleman was born June 8, 1917, in Round Pond to John Murphy and Rosetta Gilcrest Murphy. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Memphis where she served as an usher for over 40 years. She moved to Forrest City in the late 1980's and was a member of St. Andrew Freewill Baptist Church in Forrest City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Coleman in 1987.
She is survived by a daughter Helene Phillips, of Forrest City; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m., at Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in DeValls Bluff, with Bishop Nathan Swanigan officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Wheatley under the direction of McNeal Funeral Home of Brinkley.
