Alma Foltz
Mrs. Alma Foltz, age 85, of Wynne, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Foltz, the daughter of John Henry Hall and Elizabeth Gertrude Bennett Hall, was born March 14, 1915, and lived most of her life in the Center Community in Cross County. Mrs. Foltz was formerly a coordinator with the East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wynne.
Mrs. Foltz was the wife of Murphy Dalton Foltz, who preceded her in death in 1983. She was also preceded in death by her sister Callie Davis.
Mrs. Foltz is survived by three sons, Glenn Foltz, of Wynne, Murphy Foltz, of Forrest City and John Foltz, of Jonesboro; one sister, Louise Bridges, of Wynne; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Foltz was Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Kernodle Funeral Home. Funeral services were Monday, June 26, 2000, at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Wynne with Rev. Joe E. Hancock and Rev. J. W. Hirons officiating. Burial followed at Union Grove Cemetery near Fair Oaks under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the First Assembly of God Church, 1900 N. Killough Road in Wynne.

Roy Lee Pruitt Jr.
Mr. Roy Lee Pruitt Jr., age 72, of Brinkley and formerly of Pine Tree, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at his home.
He was the son of Lottie and Roy Lee Pruitt Sr.
He is survived by his wife, L. Marie Pruitt and a son, Roy Lee Pruitt III.
Visitation will be today, Monday, June 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church of God in Brinkley. Burial will follow at 3:30 at Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree, under the direction of Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home.

Samuel E. Smith
Samuel E. Smith, age 72, of Mountain View, died Monday, June 19, 2000, in his home.
Mr. Smith was born Jan. 2, 1929, in Colt, to Elmer and Ethel Riffey Smith. He lived in Little Rock and Memphis, Tenn., before moving to Mountain View. He was a CPA, owner of Books and More book shop and was an Episcopalian.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Forest Smith, and sisters, Mary Dudley and Mable Horn.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Petrucelli Smith, of Mountain View; two sons, David Smith and Robert Smith; a sister, Willis James Bryant, a step-daughter, Catherine Wilkinson; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mountain View with Rev. Arnold Hearn officiating. Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. En lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be sent to Arkansas Hospice.

Rev. William Edgar Harvey
Rev. William Edgar Harvey, age 92, formerly of Forrest City, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Batesville.
Born Oct. 1, 1907, in Moore's Chapel, Texas, he was the son of William Finley Harvey and Florence Dunnington Harvey. He was graduate of the Ouachita Baptist University and pastored churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Tobey Harvey; one son, Julian Harvey, of Chesapeake, Va.; one daughter, Barbara Kimble, of Batesville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bryan Harvey and Charles Harvey; and two sisters Tamar Shaw and Corine Loggains.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2000, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Friday, June 30, 2000, at the First Baptist Church, in Batesville, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Cantrell Munns
Mrs. Cantrell Munns, age 68, of Forrest City, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
Mrs. Munns is survived by her husband, Parris Munns, of Forrest City; two sons, Daniel Huggins, of Memphis, Tenn., and Manuel Huggins, of Tulsa, Okla.; six daughters, Cantrell McGee, of Parkin, Linda Huggins, Connie Huggins and Tressia Amacher, all of St. Paul, Minn., Savanah McCorvey and Audrey Clemons, both of Memphis; and one sister, Vinea Williams, of Chicago, Ill.
Visitation for Mrs. Munns will be Saturday, July 1, 2000, in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home in Wynne from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Sunday, July 2, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall in West Memphis. Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery in Earle under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Wynne.

Winston Lee Rice
Winston Lee Rice, age 67, of Forrest City, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Rice was born May 25, 1933, in Gilmore and was the son of Reed Rice and Adie Lou Franks Rice. He lived in Forrest City most of his life. He worked in construction and was a member of Beck Spur Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Anderson in 1983.
Mr. Rice married Dorothy Jean Anderson in 1963 and she survives him along with two daughters, Dianne Anderson, of Batavia, Ill., Gay Roberts, of Forrest City; a son, Lee Rice, of Forrest City; two brothers, J. C. Rice, of Forrest City, W. D. Rice, of Widener; a sister, Jeanette Cook, of Forrest City; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday evening, June 30, 2000, at the Beck Spur Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 1, 2000, at Beck Spur Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Kathleen Pugh Green
Kathleen Pugh Green, age 92, of Memphis, Tenn., died Friday, June 2, 2000, at the Collierville Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Green was a retired manicurist for the Hotel Peabody and Whitestation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Green.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Phillips, of Forrest City; four sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be graveside Thursday, June 8, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Forrest City.

David Roy Beasley
David Roy Beasley, age 45, of West Memphis, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. Beasley was born Sept. 28, 1954, in Forrest City, to Benjamin Franklin Beasley and Mary Bell Choate Beasley. He lived most of his life in West Memphis, was a painter with C&L Builders and was a Baptist.
He is survived by his mother; four sisters, Mary Frances Granzow, of Chicago, Ill., Ina Faye Dalton, of San Antonio, Texas, Joyce Ann Eckles, Of Newcastle, Penn., Susan Jane Peterson, of Freeport, Texas; and a brother, Robert Brooks, of Tyler, Texas.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 8, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forrest Park cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Ella Kathryn Poe
Ella Kathryn Poe, age 86, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in Carlisle.
Mrs. Poe was born June 29, 1913, in Palestine to Charles Lee Parker and Effie Morris Parker. She was a lifelong resident of St. Francis County, a housewife and a member of the Palestine Church of Christ. In 1934, she married John Henry Poe. Mr. Poe preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alan Poe.
Mrs. Poe is survived by two sons, Charles Poe and John Henry Poe Jr., both of Palestine; one daughter, Linda Smith, of Carlisle; three sisters, Fronia Mae Gunn, of West Helena, Eva Lou Stanley, of Texas, and Vernal Lee, of Palestine; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Poe will be Friday, June 9, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Palestine Church of Christ with Rev. Allen Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2000, from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home.
Memorial can be made to the Palestine Church of Christ.

Billy E. Thetford
Billy E. Thetford, age 68, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. Thetford was born Oct. 25, 1931, in Greenfield, Tenn., to Curtis Thetford and Effie Dean Ward Thetford. He lived in St. Francis County for the past 10 years, was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the Air Force.
He is survived by a sister, Joan Goe, of Colt.
Visitation will be today, Wednesday, June 7, 2000, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 8, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
