Lynne Elaine Dixon
Lynne Elaine Dixon, 52, died Monday, May 3, 1999. She was born June 29, 1946 in MIchigan and had moved to Arizona in 1970, living in Wickenburg for 14 years and in Payson for the past 15 years.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Angele and Gwin Vaughn of Wickenburg; grandsons Kyle and Drey; and brothers John R. Yonovich of New York, Ron and Jack Yonovich of MIchigan and Morris W. Hall of MIchigan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elwilda "Boots" Hall, and father, Morris A. "Moe" Hall.
Memorial services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6 at the Mt. Cross Lutheran Church.
The family requests donations be made to RTA Hospice, P.O. Box 305, Payson, AZ 85547.

Earl L. Manchester
Earl L. Manchester, 74, died April 28, 1999 at his home in Pine, with his family at his side.
He was born in San Pedro, Calif. He served in the Navy as a gunner's mate in World War II. He provided for his seven children as a Marine clerk in Long Beach, Calif. and later as a farmer in Camp Verde.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley J. Manchester; and his children, Janlyn Sauter, Tim Manchester, Melissa Carnes, Cheryl Shallow, Clay Manchester, Clint Manchester, Dr. Troy Manchester and their families, including 11 grandchildren.
His farewell tribute, "For all those times you stood by me," was sung by his daughter, April Manchester.
Mr. Manchester requested no ceremony. His wish was to have contributions made to the American Cancer Society.
Peter Werhanowicz
Peter Werhanowicz, 80, died May 5, 1999, in Payson. He was born in Wisconsin and lived most of his life in Phoenix where he was a field erector for the Buckrus Erie Company. Mr. Werhanowicz traveled around the world during his time with the company. He and his wife, Hazel, moved to Payson in 1994.
Mr. Werhanowicz also was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel, of Payson; sister, Eleanor Piers, of Wis.; sons Robert, William, Jim and Victor, all of Phoenix and Peter of Payson; daughter, Mary Ann Shepherd, of Phoenix; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
An honor-guard service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11 at National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 5377, Phoenix, AZ 85010-5377.

Peter Schultz
Peter Schultz, III, 79, of Payson and Mesa, died March 3, 2000. He was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Cranford N.J. Mr. Schultz was a World War II veteran and served as a B-29 flight engineer. He also was a member of the V.F.W, Elks Lodge and United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, of Payson and Mesa; son, Peter Schultz IV, of Phoenix; daughter, Holly Carrico of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; two sisters; two brothers; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11 at Silveridge Resort, 8265 E. Southern in Mesa.
Donations may be made to the United Methodist Church, 414 N. Easy St., Payson, AZ 85541 (Audio fund).

Arlene Crowder
Arlene Artis Crowder, 70, of Payson, died Oct. 7, 1999. She was born in MIchigan Sept. 11, 1929.
Ms. Crowder graduated from Toledo School of Nursing in 1950 as a registered nurse. She married and moved to Phoenix and raised five children. She owned her own antique store for 14 years. She earned her private pilot's license in 1975 and flew search and rescue for the Arizona Civil Air Patrol. Later she moved to San Diego, Calif., where she lived aboard a sailboat for a few years. She was self-employed as a lumber broker, selling primarily to the U.S. Navy. From there, she moved to Imperial Beach, Calif. where she was active in the American Legion as chaplin, treasurer and commander of Post 820. She also served on the executive board committee for District 6 in southern Calif.
In 1996 she moved to Payson where she continued her dedication to the American Legion, serving as commander of Post 69. She also continued her work in nursing at Manzanita Manor. She also was a volunteer worker with United Blood Services.
Survivors include two daughters, Marla Wilson of Phoenix, and Karen Dvorak of Cave Creek, Ariz.; two sons, Bill McEuen of Mesa, Ariz., and Dan McEuen of Payson; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the American Legion Hall Post 69.
Donations may be made to the American Legion for the Child and Youth Fund.
