Ronald Wayne Haught, 67, of Mayer, died March 17, 2004. He was born July 17, 1935 in Payson to Henrietta (Ezell) and Richard Haught.
Mr. Haught grew up in Payson and attended Payson schools. He lived most of his school years with his grandmother, Ella Haught on Oak Street.
Mr. Haught was a veteran of the U.S. military.
He spent many summers as a heavy equipment operator in Alaska and wintered in Punkin Center.
He is survived by his children, daughters, Vickie and Beth; son, Lonnie; three grandchildren; and sister, Louise McGaughey. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy "White Bird" Haught; and a niece, Faith Haught.
His cremains will be interred in the cemetery plot of his paternal grandparents, Ella and Anderson "Babe" Haught. Graveside services will held at noon Saturday, April 3 at Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
A private cremation was done by the Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott,
Floyd G. Umbower

Floyd Golden Umbower, 71, of Payson, died March 25, 2004. He was born April 11, 1932 in Roaring Springs, Pa.
Mr. Umbower retired from the insurance industry to pursue his passion for construction.
He was a hard worker who had a large community spirit and was a community leader, serving on the Beaver Valley Fire District Board.
Mr. Umbower was the type of guy who would do anything for you. He was humble and very generous.
He deeply loved his family and enjoyed taking them camping, hunting, and to baseball games.
He is survived by his sons, Rick Umbower, Randy Umbower, Ron Umbower, Robert (Debra) Umbower, Russell (Michelle) Umbower and Roger Umbower; brothers, Daryl Umbower and Gary Umbower; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 2 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive.
