Dennis "Ratbag" Kather, 48, of Pine, died March 26, 2004, at his home. He was born Dec. 19, 1955 in Greenville, Pa.
Mr. Kather graduated from Glenbard East High School in Lombard, Ill. He moved to Phoenix in 1979, where he was a draftsman/ architect, retiring in 1997.
He became a full-time resident of Pine in 1998. In 2001 he returned to work, for a couple of years, for Barcom's (NAPA) Auto Parts and Equipment in Payson.
His passion was riding his Harley Davidson. His motto: "Ride fast and take lots of chances."
He is survived by his mother, Martha Kather of Greenville, Pa.; his companion, Cindy Lou Carter of Pine; stepdaughters, Tina Ellis of Scottsdale and Shannon Carter of Glendale; sisters, Darcy Tucci of Erie, Pa. and Marnie Kather of Greenville, Pa.; brother, Todd Kather of Greenville, Pa.; and step-granddaughter, Hannah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Dale Kather of Greenville, Pa.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3 at the Sportsman's Chalet in Strawberry. Donations toward the celebration of life gathering can be made to the Sportsman's Chalet in Strawberry.

Blanche Hand

Blanche Ella Spencer Hand, 94, died Oct. 6, 2004 in Tempe. She was born in Neponset, Ill.
Mrs. Hand traveled extensively, and is a former resident of Kohl's Ranch, Chandler, Ariz. and Sunnyland, Ill.
She and her husband celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in July 2004, with all of their immediate and extended family attending.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; daughter, Marilyn Draper of Elisabeth, Colo.; sons, Robert Hand of Tempe, Richard Hand of Carefree and Randall Hand of Portland, Ore.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road in Scottsdale. Her cremains will be interred in Mountain Meadows Memorial Park Cemetery, Upper Round Valley Road in Payson.

John Carlton Myers

John Carlton Myers, 47, of Payson, died Sept. 28, 2000, in Payson, Ariz. He was born on July 6, 1953 in Ellsworth, Kan, and had lived in Arizona for the past 44 years. John worked as a mason in construction in the Valley for many years.
John was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Survivors include his companion, Charlotte Green, of Payson, Ariz.; parents, Robert L. and Elizabeth Zorn Myers, of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Kristie Clarke, of Mesa, Ariz.; and grandmother, Ardella Zorn, of Ellsworth, Kan.
Memorial services will be private.

Neal Peter Reynolds

Neal Peter Reynolds, 84, of Payson, Ariz. died Sept. 27, 2000 in Payson, Ariz. He was born on Dec. 18, 1915 in Luverne, Minn.
Mr. Reynolds came to Payson in 1970 from Wisconsin. He was a local contractor and spear- headed the Golden Frontier development. After retirement, he enjoyed touring the United States.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Haeuser; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.

Orda Folmar

Orda Folmar, 87, of Tonto Basin, Ariz. died Sept. 15, 2000 in Brady, Texas. She was born on Dec. 12, 1912.
Mrs. Folmar married J.B. (Red) Folmar in Aspen, Colo. in 1938. They were married for 47 years. Orda was a past Boy Scout leader and 4-H leader in Globe. She was one of the original founding members of the Gila County Home Extension Service and a past state president of the Extension Service. She resided in Tonto Basin for 40 years and retired after 12 years as Postmaster of Tonto Basin Post Office. She moved to Brady, Texas in 1991 to be close to her children, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Ruth, Leona, and Carol Ann; son, Kenny Bill Folmar; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Tonto Basin Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Tonto Basin Cemetery.
