Luther Edward Goodman Jr. of Sun City died Aug. 22, 2003. He was 86. He was a tire company shipping clerk and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Bertha. Menke Funeral Home.
John Clifton Hall of Sun City died Aug. 20, 2003. He was 91. He was an electrical engineer for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. who came to Arizona in 1976 from Ohio. He was born in Creston, Iowa. Nan Louise Marshall of Sun City died Aug. 14, 2003. She was 94. She was a medical assistant for 40 years who came to Arizona from Virginia. Menke Funeral Home.
Joyce Marie Nettesheim of Sun City died Aug. 12, 2003. She was 70. She was a retired school secretary from Plainfield, Ill. Survivors include her husband, Victor; daughter, Michelle Rhermund; and sons Michael C. and Jeff. There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Good Shepherd Chapel, 10323 W. Jerry Thronson Jr. of Sun City died Aug. 26, 2003. He was 74. He was an automobile salesman and served in the U.S. Army. He came to Arizona in 1966 from South Dakota. He is survived by his wife, Ramona; son, Richard; and daughter, Tari Andersen.
Betty Vanderworker, 66, of east Mesa, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, in Mesa. Mrs. Vanderworker, a homemaker, was born in the Bronx, New York, N.Y. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Canzona; sons Joseph and Andrew Canzona; sister Florence Donohue; brother George Klein; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Thomas Richard Brossard, 76, of east Mesa, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, in Mesa. Mr. Brossard, a U.S. Army veteran and sales and marketing manager for Beloit Manufacturing Company, was born in St. Paul, Minn. He is survived by his wife Joan; daughters Anna Thomasson, Patty Keefer and Irene Ewers; sons Richard and Ed; sister-in-law Jeanne McJoynt; 13 grandchildren and one grandchild. John W. Over, 89, Surprise, died Aug. 11, 2003. He was born in Minneapolis, Minn., and moved to Arizona in 1987 from Minnesota. For 30 years, Mr. Over was an employment representative for Ford Motor Co. Mr. Over is survived by wife, Burnette; daughter, Carolyn Deacon; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. William D. "Bill" Byrnes of Sun City West died Aug. 20, 2003. He was 82. A native of Philadelphia, he came to Arizona in 1983 from Levittown, Pa. He was a commercial artist with G.E. Aerospace for 20 years and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dorothea "Dot"; daughters Kathleen Moran and Mary Ann barth; sons James F. III and William D. Jr.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Sally V. Dekam of Sun City West died Aug. 17, 2003. She was 74. A native of Freeport, Ill., she came to Arizona in 1995 from Kalamazoo, Mich. She was an elementary school teacher in Kalamazoo for 22 years. Survivors include her husband, Richard; daughters Kathryn Linde and Kimerbly Oswalt; sons Rick, Rodney, Steven Linde and Don Linde; sisters Gloria Ryan, Mary Joe Kalibec, Marleen Jones and Wendy Trader; brother, Minard "Bud" Trader; stepmother, Doris Trader; and nine grandchildren.
