Donald Hopkins of Sun City West died Aug. 4, 2003. He was 74. He moved to Arizona in 1996 from Cumberland, R.I. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and owned Globe Printing and Delta Charts. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Gilman; four sons, Ronald, Robert, Roger and Raymond; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother. Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel.
Joseph Lalis of Sun City died July 28, 2003. He was 87. Originally from Massachusetts, he worked as a senior engineering aid in aerospace. Menke Funeral Home.
Betty Jean Liveringhouse of Sun City West died Aug. 9, 2003. She was 79. She was a homemaker who came to Arizona in 1986 from Minneapolis. Survivors include her husband, Clyde; daughters Kathy Lindbloom, Sue Tanner and Cynthia Lilligren; sons Larry, Bruce and Kent; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. John Lonberger of Sun City died Aug. 3, 2003. He was 92. Originally from Massachusetts, he worked as a sales engineer for Goulds Pumps. Menke Funeral Home.
Mabel B. Merring of Sun City died Aug. 7, 2003. She was 82. She was a registered nurse from Pennsylvania. Menke Funeral Home.

Mitchell A. Pierson of Sun City died Aug. 6, 2003, in Rexburg, Idaho. He was 81. He was a cost estimator for the U.S. Air Force and served in the Army Air Corps. Grace L. (Burson) Shoemaker of Manhattan, Kan., formerly of Sun City, died Aug. 9, 2003. She was 93. She was the manager of an elementary school cafeteria in Annandale, Va. August F. Sturm of Sun City West died Aug. 6, 2003. He was 84. He was an apartment manager who moved to Arizona in 1986 from Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was originally from St. Jansteen, Hollard. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn V. (Hill) Sturm of Sun City West; daughter, Candice Kuna; son, Kim; sister, Florence Erbach; and two grandchildren.
