Virginia Ruth Schweda, 81, of Sun City West, a nurse, died May 1, 2003. She was born March 3, 1922 in Fox Point, Wisc. Survivors include her two daughters Helen Hennessey and Mary Starr; a son, Timothy Kern; a sister, Alice Homsted. Sunland Memorial Park.
Cecilia Vandersnick, 97, of Sun City, a homemaker, died May 1, 2003. She was born in Iowa. Menke Funeral Home.
Ruth V. Weisbecker, 80, of Sun City, a former service assistant for Northwest Bell Telephone, died April, 28, 2003. She was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Erwin, S.D. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael. She is survived by her husband, Joseph. Menke Funeral Home.
Charlene I. Frazee, 85, of east Mesa, died May 3, 2003, in Mesa. Mrs. Frazee, a Motorola retiree, was born in Newton, Ill. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Clayton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care handled arrangements.
John M. Dow, 81, of east Mesa, died May 3, 2003, in Mesa. Mr. Dow, a retired business owner and WWII U.S. Navy veteran, was born in Omaha, Neb. He is survived by his wife June and two step-sons Robert and W.V. Bernie Siebert. Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care handled arrangements.
Shirley B. Anderton, 80, of east Mesa, died May 5, 2003, in Mesa. Mrs. Anderton, a homemaker, was born in Rawlins, N.Y. She is survived by her daughter Maren Hutson; son Allen; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Melcher's Mission Chapel handled arrangements.
Ysidro R. Ybarra, 72, Surprise, died April 26, 2003. He was born in Sabinal, Texas and moved to Arizona from California two years ago. Mr. Ybarra was a coordinator for IBM and also served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Ybarra is survived by wife, Celia; daughters Cecilia Leyba, Mary Isabella Bravo and Cathy Nunez; sisters Lupa Lopez, Francis Valenzuela, Lilly Vasques, Mary Helen Aquilar and Linda Psotemes; brothers Andy and Johnny Ybarra, Gilbert, Raymond and Jesse Baldenegro; eight grandsons, four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
Lucille Baker, 90, of Sun City, a retired school teacher died Feb. 4, 2003. Born in Minneapolis. Minn., on March 13, 1912, Mrs. Baker moved to Arizona 32 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her son, James; and daughter, Sue Ramsey. Menke Funeral Home.

Sadie Burns, 90, of Youngtown, died April 25, 2003. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Mich., she moved to Arizona in 1990 from Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyse, and son, Terry. Survivors include two sons, David and Glenn; daughter, Marian Remington; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several stepchildren and stepgrandchildren. Donald R. Chadderdon, 85, of Sun City, a music teacher, died April, 25, 2003. Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., he served in the navy in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughter, Betty Cappello; and son, James Chadderdon.
Lillian Bleskan Conin, 85. of Sun City, a former school teacher, died April 27, 2003. Born March 1, 1918, in Bennett, Wis., she moved to Arizona 46 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Coinin. Survivors include a daughter, Lorene; two stepsons, John E. Cronin and George G. Cronin; a sister, Helen Bonine; and three grandchildren.
