Robert L. Schneider, 78, of Mesa, died Thursday, April 8 in Mesa.
Mr. Schneider, a retired grocery buyer and U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, was born in New Ulm, Minn.
Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Patti Tuff; son, Jon; and three grandchildren.

Jennie Anne Kessler, 77, of Mesa, died Sunday, April 25 in Mesa.
Mrs. Kessler, a home maker, was born in Galesburg, Ill.
Mrs. Kessler is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Sandy Rogers and Barbara Van Fleet; stepdaughter, Susan Fry; sons, Michael and Douglas Walling; stepsons Kent and Randy Kessler; and eight grandchildren.

Belle Morin, 80, of Mesa, died Monday, May 3 in Mesa.
Mrs. Morin, a home maker, was born in Wayne, Mich.

Franklin Jacob Beitler, 80, of Mesa, died Thursday, April 29 in Mesa.
Mr. Beitler, retired from the trucking business, was born in St. John, Kan.
Mr. Beitler is survived by his wife, Irene; daughter, Sandy Goldsberry, and one granddaughter.

Arthur E. Ernst, 94, of Mesa, died Wednesday, April 28 in Mesa.
Mr. Ernst, a railroad manufacturing clerk, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mr. Ernst is survived by his wife, Ruth.

Mary Louise Watts, a civic leader and pioneer in Chandler, passed on May 17.
She was born in Naco, Ariz. on Dec. 8, 1909 and grew up in Douglas, Ariz. Mrs. Watts graduated from Arizona State University with her degree in elementary education and taught school for 27 years retiring from Monte Vista School in Phoenix. She married Irvine "Boots" Watts in Tucson on December 24, 1932.
They moved to Chandler, where Boots was the track and football coach for Chandler High School until joining the Navy in 1943. Mary Lou was the founder and first president of the Junior Women's Club of Chandler. She organized the Chandler Girl Scouts and was a troop leader for several years.
During World War II, she was the first woman hired by Pecos Mills in Chandler, acting as secretary to Cliff Hearn. Beginning in 1949, the family spent summers at their cabin in Lakeside. Boots and Mary Lou celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary prior to Boots' death in 1991.
In recent years, Mary Lou volunteered many hours for Scottsdale Healthcare Auxiliary and Mohave Middle School Library.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughters Sandi Viles (children Greg Viles and Tammi Viles); Mary Boots Hunt (Cork) and daughters Mary Louise Hunt (Tom) and Kathy Hunt; great grandchildren Hallie Jean Hunt and Jack Hunt; nephew Mercer Johnson; nieces Terrell Tyra (Joe Ben); Deed Kalota (Chet), Kathy Ball (Bob), Vicki MacClyment (Alan) and family friends Roxana Harvey and Dianne Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Arizona State University Alumni Association to the Irvine B. Watts Scholarship Fund or to Hospice of Arizona. Services have been held. Messinger Indian School Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Janet E. Moran, 64, of Sun City, passed away March 17, 2004. She was survived by husband, Gerald Sr.; sons, Gerald Jr. of Peoria, Kevin and Sean of Austin, Texas; and daughters, Kimberly Bryson of Laurel, Md., and Kathleen Snyder of Bel Air, Md. Mildred R. "Millie" Olascuga, of Sun City passed away April 1, 2004. Born in Little Ferry, N.J. She moved from California to Arizona 33 years ago. She was a retired office worker for S.H. Kress Company in New York and Los Angeles. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Advantage Golden Door Chapel.
