Harvey Robert Nielsen, 80, of Gold Canyon, died July 25, 2003, in Mesa. Mr. Nielsen, an auto body repairman and U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was born in Starkweather, N.Dak.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; a daughter, Yvonne Bullard; a son, Douglas Nielsen; two sisters, Gladys Jacobson and Fern Axelson; three brothers, Frank Nielsen, Harold Nielsen and Howard Nielsen; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care handled the arrangements.
Junice (June) Striemer Behrens, 80, of Apache Junction, died July 24, 2003, in Mesa.
Ms. Behrens, an artist, was born in Walcott, N. Dak.
She is survived by three daughters, Banita Renee Kurth, Terri Lyn Carlson and Katheryn Dee Fehlandt; a son, Valdon Jon Behrens; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Apache Junction Mortuary handled the arrangements.
William T. Dee, 78, of Apache Junction, died July 26, 2003, in Apache Junction. Mr. Dee, a stock keeper for an automotive company, was born in St. Louis.
Mr. Dee is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Dee; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Payne.
A service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Apache Junction Mortuary, 398 Old West Highway.
Etta Dean Ditzler, 71, of Apache Junction, died July 29, 2003, in Mesa.
Ms. Ditzler was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She is survived by three daughters, Michele Scott, Melanie Schwab and Mary Ditzler-Cole; a sister, Dolores Trublood; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Gavin Nathaniel Tapley, three months, of Apache Junction, died July 27, 2003.
He is survived by Kira L. Garfias and Daniel K. Tapley; a sister, Kirsten; a brother, Tristan; grandparents, Michael Tapley, Karla Silvernail and Edward Garfias; a great grandmother, Shirley Tapley and several aunts and uncles.
Howard A. Stringham, 76, formerly of Apache Junction, died July 30, 2003 in Mesa.
Mr. Stringham was a native of Jackson, Miss. He served as a Deacon for the Jackson First Presbyterian Church and as Rives Township Justice of the Peace and as a Highway Commissioner.
In Apache Junction, he was a member of the Lions Club and a 4-H Leader for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Diane of Apache Junction; two sons, Charles and Dale and four grandchildren. Burial will be at Jackson, Miss.
Lucille J. Piepho, 80, of Apache Junction, died July 31, 2003.
She was a retired inspector for a factory and a native of Mankato, Minn.
She is survived b a sister, Helen Piepho. There will be no services at this time.
