Charles Owen Stewart was born in Vineyard, Utah on Dec. 6, 1937. He passed away in Mesa, Ariz. on Oct. 29, 2003 due to complications related to a heart attack and stroke.
He was a loving, caring, compassionate companion, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend to many in Utah and Arizona.
He had a great love for his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with horses, playing golf and darts, and dancing with his longtime companion Norma Ross.
He was the fourth child in a family of seven brothers and two sisters.
He leaves behind his mother, Edna Stewart; six brothers and two sisters; daughter Kim Ross; sons Kenny Stewart (Buffie) and Mark Stewart (Clarissa Ball); nine grandchildren, Blair, Hayley, Kelsey and Katelyn Read; Duncan, Ceira, Jensen and Chance Stewart; and Erika Ball.
No services will be held at his request. Please join us to celebrate the life of Charles Stewart on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at the V.F.W. Post 9399 on Saguaro in Apache Junction.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Apache Junction Mortuary, 398 Old West Highway, Apache Junction.
Nellie B. Casper, 93, of Apache Junction, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003.
Mrs. Casper, a telephone operator, was born in Helena, Mont.
She is survived by her companion Al Johnson; grandson Bruno A. Cervelli; granddaughter Kathy J. O'Hagan; great-grandchildren Courtney Riley, Cara and Meggie O'Hagan and Bridget Cervelli.

Kenneth Zinner, 64, of Apache Junction, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003.
Mr. Zinner, a commercial truck driver, was born in Milwaukee, Wis.
He is survived by his wife Sandralee; sons Ken, Brian and Scott; daughters-in-law Raetta, Cindy and Tiffany; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Judy Ann Copeland, 78, of Apache Junction, died Sept. 14, 2003.
Mrs. Copeland was born May 10, 1925.
She is survived by husband Hulen Dale Copeland; sons Gary Liltz, Greg Overson, Ronald Wood, Dell Wood, Jeffrey Copeland, Jeremy Copeland, Mark Lafountain, Jimmy Lafountain, Alex Lafountain, Emery M. Copeland II, Hulen D. Copeland Jr. and Joseph Wilson; daughters Linda Wood, Carol Corbin, Julie Copeland, Jeanne Dyer and Anna Lafountain; Brother Jack Par; sister Phyllis Swain; 33 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters Lorraine Curtis and Leora Park.

Ida Mele, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Apache Junction.
Ms. Mele, a homemaker, was born in New York.
She is survived by her son Salvatore; two brothers and one sister

Mary Josephine Alichwer 86, of Apache Junction, died Aug. 24, 2003.
She was a retired seamstress and a native of Dickson City, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Stevens, a son, Eugene Alichwer, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Dorothy May Harper, 76, of Gold Canyon, died Aug. 25, 2003.
Mrs. Harper was a homemaker and a native of Portland, Ore.
She is survived by her husband, William T. Harper, three sons, Gregory, Douglas and Gary and a sister, Betty Lou Gilbert. Services were held Aug. 30.
Florence "Flo" Lane 82, of Apache Junction, died Aug. 22, 2003.
She was an administrative assistant for the Probation Department in New Jersey and a native of Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Benson; a son and daughter-in-law, Francis and Debra Lane; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
William F. Joseph, 74, of Apache Junction, died Aug. 11, 2003.
Mr. Joseph was a retired state prison guard and a native of LaCrosse, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma "Mickey" Joseph. Services were held Aug. 16 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
