HAUCK, Marilyn (Lynne) P. 64, of Tucson, died peacefully on November 3, 1999. Survived by her children, Rosemary Hoover of Tucson, Marc Hauck of Los Angeles, and Eric Hauck of Los Angeles. Also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel Hoover, Alexandria Hauck, and Ariel Hauck. Lynne was a graduate of Mt. Holyoke University majoring in education. She moved to Tucson in 1962. Lynne will be remembered as a wonderful mother and nana. She worked extensively with several churches in the area to develop their music programs. Her love of music enabled many in the church to experience hand-bell ringing and performance despite many choir members not having the ability to read music or sing. She will also be remembered by her love for people. She gave of her time and money throughout her life to many in need by volunteering in church outreach and support of the poor as well as her financial giving to those in need. The grandchildren will also remember her for her tireless hours of love and support. Daniel, Alex, and Ariel love their Nana very much! The funeral mass will be offered at 9:00a.m. on Saturday November 6, 1999 at St. Odilia Catholic Church located at 7570 North Paseo Del Norte in Tucson. BERQUIST, Shirley, age 63, passed on November 5, 1999 following a long illness. In addition to her loving husband, Paul; she is survived by their son, James; and grandson Alan, of Deming, NM; her mother, Lillian Johnson of Penn Yan, NY; brothers, Warren, Lester and Robert Johnson; and sisters Frances Hodge, Betty Conrad, Carol Plante, Nancy Johnson and Joanne Williamson, all from the Finger Lakes area of New York state; and brother Darwin, of Alexis, NC.
Shirley and Paul arrived in Tucson in 1968, and following Paul's retirement from the U.S. Air Force in 1974, both were employed at Ray Manley (now Manley-Prim) photography over the next 25 years.
Shirley's love of nature was reflected in their third career, wildlife photography. Paul and Shirley's wildlife images have appeared in Arizona Highways for over 25 years, and will continue to be published locally and internationally in books, magazines and calendars.
No services are planned at this time. At a later date, her many loving friends will gather at Saguaro National Park, her favorite place to quietly celebrate her life.

SCHLESINGER, Bernedette Elizabeth, age 89, born October 19, 1910 in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away November 4, 1999 in Edmonds, Washington. Berna worked as an electrician for over 35 years, then retired in 1969 and moved to Tucson, Arizona to be near her sister. In 1995, she moved to Edmonds, Washington to be with her daughter, Margaret, and spent summers with her daughter Carol in Streetsboro, Ohio.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Richard) Ptacek and Carol Mitchell; her sister Clara M. Adams; grandchildren, Richard, Michael, Kenneth, Robert and Timothy Ptacek, Peggi LaPlante, Nancy Cobb, Mary Callahan, Kathy Welch, Darwin, George, and Mark Mitchell, Christine Lenz, Michelle Toaso, and Debbie Scheida; and 33 great grandchildren. Berna was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Schlesinger in 1973; and her sister Dorothy Ruessman; and brother Joseph Adams.
