HELEN J. BUSWELL, 86, of Tucson, passed away on November 23, 1999. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen, as well as her sister, Fran Thompson; brother, Chester Corrie; and son, 'Buzz' Buswell. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Lee) Coons of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Kathy (Richard) Huston of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Helen was born in Isabel, KS and later moved to Racine, WI. She married Glen Buswell from Kenosha, WI where they raised their family. Glen and Helen moved to Tucson in the late 60's where she has resided ever since. She cherished the love of her family and her many friends. She will be missed so very much. Friends may call at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Saturday, November 27, 1999 from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be in Kenosha, WI at a later date.

CAMPBELL, Mark, age 85, of Tucson, AZ, died November 23, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughters, Helen (James) Cogswell, Vicki (Bob) Payne, all of Tucson, AZ; son, Mark (Marsha) Campbell II of Reno, NV; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Campbell; sister, Josephine Franco, both of CA. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Cogswell. Mark was a Metallurgist and had worked in Cuba and Peru as well as in the United States. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 1999, with the Tucson Masonic Sojourners officiating, at the ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Family Care or to the Arizona Nature Conservancy in his memory.

COSAND, Paul Neal, 75, of Tucson, went to be with the Lord on November 22, 1999. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth; four children, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, plus many other loving friends and relatives. He shared his musical talents to bring joy to people all over the world. Memorial service will be held at Casas Adobes Baptist Church (Chapel) on Ina and La Cholla, Friday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

ESPINOZA, Joe M., 69, of Tucson, passed away on November 21, 1999. He is survived by his seven children, Joe Jr., Robert, Manny, Mary Lou, Sam, Albert, Linda; two brothers, Alfonso and Enrique; four sisters, Lucy, Carmen, Maria and Margaret, plus numerous grandchildren. Friends may call at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., Friday, November 26, 1999 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

FREEMAN, Joye G., 93. Battle won – Victory is shared! Joye, a second generation Arizonan, was born in Florence, Arizona Territory in 1906. She died in Tucson on November 22, 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Carmen Gilson; son, George H. Freeman; and brothers, Melvin, Jim, Delos and William Gilson. She is survived by sons, Barry N. (Valerie) Freeman of Tucson and Carl W. Freeman of El Cajon, CA; and daughter-in-law, Adrienne Freeman of Phoenix; grandchildren include P. Scott (Kelly) Freeman of Dallas TX, Michael L. Freeman of Tucson, Paul G. (Elizabeth) Freeman of Tucson, Kelly A. Roemer of Tucson, Karen Summers of Phoenix, Roger and Craig Freeman both of Phoenix; great- grandchildren include Megan Summers of Tucson, Daniel F. Roemer of Tucson, Kayla Bonina of Dallas TX, and Kelly and Andrew Alcon of Tucson.

KING, Avis V., 92, of Tucson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 1999. Survivors include her daughter, Dortha (Larry) Sennings; grandchildren, Lawrence (Cindy) Sennings, Laura (Dale) Jones, Debra (Richard) Darby; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. Avis was preceded in death by her second husband, Homer I. King and her first husband, Harry O. Toliver. Funeral service will be held at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., Friday, November 26 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery.

Amie Lee Lauderdale, 95, died November 16, 1999. Father of Barbara Lee Huffman of Tucson and Sydney Yvonne Brown of Idaho; brother of Sidney Lauderdale of Calif., Alvin Lauderdale of Tucson, and Louise Phelps of Phoenix; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Marvel Irma and Ruth Holcomb Lauderdale. Mr. Lauderdale was an Engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring after 40 years of service. He belonged to Tucson Lodge #4 F&AM and Scottish Rite. Donations may be made in Mr. Lauderdale's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, c/o Sabbar Shrine Temple, 450 S. Tucson Blvd., Tucson, Arizona.

CHARLES T. LONGSHORE, 75, of Marana, AZ, died Sunday, November 21, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Charles T. Longshore (Cindy), Yvette Holmes (Dennis) and Janice Longshore; eight grandchildren, sisters, Ida Lou Longshore, Peggy Vonk (Richard), Janette Childress (Royce); brother, K. W. Longshore. He was a member of the AZ Geological Society, Southern AZ Model Engineers, Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association. A memorial service will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee, Friday, November 26, 1999 at 10:00 a.m.

MEJIA, Maximiliano 'Max' S., 72, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away November 21, 1999. Survived by wife, Maria Eva Mejia; daughters, Diana Salgado, Maria Lucy (Guillermo) and Evangelina 'Evita' Mejia; sons, Marco Antonio (Bernice) and Maximiliano A. Jr. (Juliet) Mejia; sisters, Magdalena, Esperanza, Amparo and Rosa. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. preceded in death by 'his loving grandson, Phillip A. Salgado'; parents, Guadalupe and Sabina Mejia; brothers, Jesus and Jose Mejia; sister, Guadalupe Romo.
He was born in Holbrook, Arizona on December 06, 1926. He was an Arizona resident for 72 years, built his own home and raised his family in Tucson since 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a Master Carpenter and a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union Local #857. He had a passion for living and giving to others. His one great desire was to secure a future for his children unknowingly to others. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 1999 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, November 27, 1999, 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. HENRY C. 'HANK' TAYLOR, 77, of Tucson, passed away November 23, 1999. Survived by wife, Joyce Taylor; children, Henry C. (Heidi) Taylor Jr., Richard (Lynne) Taylor, David (Linda) Taylor, Nadyne (Joe) Bartone and Mark (Alice) Taylor; also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 26, 1999 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tucson Stake Center, 105 N. Norton Ave. in Tucson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LDS Church or Carondelet Hospice Service.
He will be missed and loved by all.

WHITE, David Michael, 64, died November 22, 1999. Husband of Betti White; father of Sheri (Garth) Thornock of Ogden, UT, Mark (Danielle) White of Kaysville, UT and Gary (Shauna) White of Bountiful, UT; grandfather of 15 grandchildren; brother of G. Gary (Donna) White of Livingston, MT. David was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret White. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had a lifetime career in Law Enforcement retiring from the Ogden, UT Police Department in 1985 at which time he moved to Tucson. He was a member of Masonic Builders Lodge #60 and was Past Master of Weber Lodge #6 in Ogden, UT. At his request there will be no services. The family will hold a private celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to a Shriner Children's Hospital of your choice. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

GURULE, Mr. Johnny A., died Sunday, November 21, 1999 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 39. Funeral services for Johnny will be held in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary cemetery. A Rosary for Johnny will be recited on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW, Albuquerque, NM.

HILL, Harriette Ann Goins, 81, died Monday, November 22, 1999. Survived by husband, Willie, Sr.; three sons, Willie, Jr. of Seattle, Washington, Oliver Lee (Rita) of Mount Vernon, New York, Gregory Brian (Marilyn) of Tucson; three daughters, Juanita Yvonne (Joseph) Payton of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Lorraine (Leon) Richardson of Tucson, Linda Chyrl (Cressworth) Lander of Tucson; four grandchildren, Joseph, Jr., Nikki (Richard) Packard, Alanna Payton, Gregory Brian II, a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 27, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince Chapel A.M.E. Church, 602 S. Stone, with Rev. Lee Norris May of Prince Chapel and Rev. W.M. Jacks of San Bernardino California. Interment at Evergreen. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Dignita Hospice Care, 750 E. Foothills Dr., Tucson 85718.

KRAETZ, John Robert, 74, of Lake Montezuma, Arizona, retired Plant Manager for Mountain Bell, died November 22, 1999. He was born in Bisbee, Arizona and lived in Tucson and Scottsdale. He was a WWII Navy veteran of the Normandy Invasion and Pacific Theater. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marie; daughter, Karen Kraetz of Scottsdale, Arizona; sons, John Kraetz of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Jerry Kraetz of Flagstaff, Arizona; brother, Bill Kraetz and wife, Barbara of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by son, James. A memorial service will be held at Montezuma Chapel, Lake Montezuma, Arizona, Friday, November 26, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements were handled by Westcott Funeral Home, Camp Verde, Arizona.

LAMBAJIAN, Pearl H. (nee Dounis), cherished wife and mother, born in Chicago, IL on June 14, 1945, passed away in Tucson, AZ on November 23, 1999. Survived by devoted husband, Hrair H. Lambajian of Tucson; loving daughter, Eugena F. Lambajian of Phoenix; loving son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas H. and Rita Lambajian of Los Angeles, CA; loving mother-in-law, Eugenie Aramian of Tucson. Founding member of Armenian Cultural Society of Tucson; member of Armenian Apostolic Church of Phoenix, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Philopticos Society, Armenian Relief Society. ROSALES, Gilbert S., 70 passed away November 21, 1999 in Phoenix, AZ. Gilbert was born in Tucson, AZ on June 07, 1929. He lived in Eloy all of his life. He was retired from the Eloy Police Dept. in 1977. He served since 1949. Survived by his wife, Guadalupe Rosales; sons, Norbert of Hayden, AZ, Carlos of Eloy, AZ, Jerry of Glendale, AZ., Father Raul of Morenci, AZ; daughters, Magdalena Rosales of Glendale, AZ, Sylvia Voss of Phoenix, AZ, Ana Maria Valdez of Eloy, AZ.; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers, Francisco, Jr., Juan de Dios, Manuel Santiago, Rafael, Fernando, Hector; sisters, Cuca Castillo, and Mercedes Ramarez. YOLANDA TORNABENE SABA - passed away in Tucson, AZ on Sunday, November 21, 1999 of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) at the age of 78. Yolanda also had Multiple Sclerosis and had become very ill during the past two years. She was born in Chicago, IL., May 17, 1921. Yolanda graduated from DePaul University and received a teaching credential in elementary education from the University of Arizona. During World War II she was a telegraph operator for the war effort. She taught elementary school in Tucson. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, and garden. She was famous for her beautiful Christmas cookies and Cassata cake and hand made many clothes for her husband, four children, and herself. She had a special ability to nurse any sick plant back to health or propagate any small cutting into a robust plant, and won many dozens of ribbons and prizes for her plants and flowers. She loved music, and played the guitar, piano, and balalaika. She was a member of (and also sewed folk costumes for) the University of Arizona Balalaika Orchestra, was a longtime member and head of the Scholarship Committee of the Sagebrush Homemakers Club, and was a longtime member and past President of the La Madera Garden Club of Tucson. She took part in many charitable activities in support of the local parks, Meals on Wheels, local nursing homes, the School for the Deaf and Blind, and scholarships for young people. Yolanda was a resident of Tucson for 48 years.
Yolanda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jean Saba of Tucson; and three sons, John Saba and Don Saba of Tucson, and Vincent Saba (and Ann Del Tredici) of El Sobrante, CA. Her son Gino preceded her in death. She is also survived by her niece, Mary Tornabene Coleman (and Lott) of Aurora, IL.; and grandnieces, Felicia and Christine; her niece, Mary Lou Bogdala (and John) of Round Lake, IL.; grandniece, Marie Evansky (and Paul); and great-grand nephews, Christopher and Matthew; niece, Ann Tornabene, of Aurora, IL.; and nephew, Vincent Tornabene (and Beth) of San Mateo, CA. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Antoinette and Violet; her niece Laurie Cyrulik; her brothers, Felix Tornabene and Joseph Tornabene. Yolanda will be dearly missed by family and friends. The family wishes to give special thanks to C. Janz of the ALS Association, for her generous and kind help, her friendship, and her love.
At Yolanda's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Yolanda's spirit of charity, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation in Yolanda's name to: ALS Association, 8149 E. Evans Rd, Suite 8, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
