WOLFARTH, Terry, 40, of Tucson, Arizona went to join his dad and brother in heaven, December 4, 1999 after a long illness with diabetes. Born October 4, 1959 in Fostoria, Ohio to Harvey and Patricia Wolfarth. A resident of Tucson since 1973, he was a graduate of Catalina High School in 1978, attended The University of Arizona and Pima Community College, and was a graduate of Elva May Florist School, Fullerton, California. He was a floral designer along with his many other artistic abilities. His love for the holidays and decorating his home will be missed by many neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia; brother, Kim; sister-in-law, Marilyn; niece, Emily all of Tucson; a wonderful family friend, Shaw Kinsley, Tubac, Arizona; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Ohio. preceded in death by his father, Harvey; and brother, Michael.
His smile and helpfulness will be missed greatly by his family and many friends
Friends may visit Thursday, December 9, 1999 at Valley Funeral Home, 2545 North Tucson Boulevard from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Memorial mass at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Friday, December 10, 1999 at 10:30a.m. Internment to be in Fostoria, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Tucson.

WOOLDRIDGE, John D., 46, a 42 year resident of Arizona passed away December 5, 1999 in Tucson. Born July 13, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. Survived by his loving parents, John and Pat Wooldridge; two brothers; one sister; ex-wife and two children; and many friends. A visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Rosary at 6:00p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday at 1:00p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. Burial will follow at South Lawn cemetery.

ALSTAD, Kenneth Howard, writer and publisher, 80, of Tucson, died Saturday, December 4, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Joann; daughters, Betsy Lockhart, Jody Halton; grandchildren, Frazer, Kathleen, Joseph, Ryan; and brother, George Alstad of Tucson. Mr. Alstad was author and publisher of Savvy Sayin's. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 8; 30 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 1999 at St. Pius X Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo. Burial will be at the National Memorial cemetery of Arizona. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Hospice Family Care, 310 S. Williams Blvd., or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to HEATHER MORTUARY.

BLACK, Edna Mae, 92, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away on December 5, 1999. Mrs. Black lived most of her life in Alliance and resided in Tucson from 1957 to 1987. She was a member of Golf Links Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Carol Davies of Sebring, OH, Dorothy Hansen of Tucson, Joyce Heverly of Sebring, OH, Betty Smith of Lakewood, CO; two sons, John Robert Thomas and Harold Black, both of Alliance; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Black on October 8, 1963. Funeral service will be held at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., Thursday, December 9, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Entombment to follow at South Lawn cemetery.

FORTUNATO, Philip, 84 years old, died Monday, December 6, 1999 in Tucson, AZ. A Pearl Harbor survivor. Survived by two sons, Ray and Jeff Fortunato; daughter, Phyllis Dugger; four brothers, Vincent, Louis, Andrew, Frank Fortunato; sister, Mary Fortunato; four grandchildren, Colline and Doug Crowley, Jessica and Stephen Fortunato; great-grandson, Nicholas Crowley; closest relative, Antoineette Fortunato. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 9, 1999, 2:00 p.m. at Desert Vista cemetery, 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, AZ. GARDINER, Alice Pitts, 81, died December 4, 1999. Alice was born August 19, 1918 in Baltimore, MD. She came to Tucson in January of 1947. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman B. Gardiner in 1982. Mother of Norman B. Gardiner, Jr. of Melbourne, Australia, Edward Lloyd Gardiner of Tucson, Dorothy P. Gardiner of Tucson and Sarah A. M. (Leon Lawrence) Gardiner of Mesa; grandmother of Alisa M. (Richard) Gonzalez, Torii C. Gardiner and Shane D. P. Gardiner. She touched everyone who knew her and will always be loved. Memorial service 3:00p.m. Thursday, December 9, 1999 at Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church 2331 E. Adams, with Rev. Gordon McBride officiating. A gathering of friends will take place 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway

KILBOURNE, Alma Pearl, 87, of Tucson, passed away December 7, 1999. She is survived by a son, Cameron L. Johnston of Tucson; stepsons, Gary T. Kilbourne of Tucson, James Kilbourne of N. Olmstead, OH and John Kilbourne of Seattle, WA; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kilbourne was predeceased by her husband, Olen Kilbourne on January 27, 1997.
Service to be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY, interment Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

LE COMPTE, Paul, 59, died December 4, 1999. Husband of Deanna Le Compte; father of David Le Compte and Jennifer (Zac) Aikin; grandfather of Ashley Le Compte and Logan Aikin; brother of Howard Le Compte of Seattle, Billy Le Compte of Denver and Dave Le Compte of Tucson. Paul retired as a Captain from the City of Tucson Fire Dept. in 1996. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the family's home December 10, 1999. Memorial service 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 1999 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Donation's in Paul's memory may be made to Casa de Los Ninos, 1101 N. 4th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85705.

LOWE, Lois I., 91, of Tucson, went to be with the Lord on December 7, 1999. Survivors include her son, Rex; granddaughters, Michelle (Brent) Nicola, and Melody Bradley; and one sister, Maxine of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lowe and her son, Max. Lois was born June 26, 1908 in Polk, Nebraska and resided in Tucson since 1977. Friends may call at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., Thursday, December 9, 1999 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Graveside service to follow at South Lawn cemetery.

MUNCIE, John W., 82, years old, died Monday, December 6, 1999 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Betty Muncie of Tucson; one son, Dr. John (Sian) Muncie of England; two grandchildren, Tom and Katie Muncie of England. Mr. Muncie worked 10 years at Rolling Hills Country Club in the Pro Shop. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements handled by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 881-0338.

ROSENTHAL, Albert, 90, of Tucson, died December 3, 1999. Born November 7, 1909 in Brooklyn, NY. Survived by two sons, Larry Rosenthal of Tucson, Harvey Rosenthal of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Graveside service Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., Temple Emanu-El Section of Evergreen cemetery, with Rabbi Stephanie Aaron officiating. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery, N. Oracle Rd. & W. Miracle Mile.

VALENCIA, Benjamin M., 48, of Tucson, died Wednesday, December 1, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mercy; children, Sophia Valencia, Connie Valencia, Placido Valencia; granddaughter, Jada Marie Valencia and sister, Isabel Valencia. An all-night wake will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 1999 at the family home, 7501 S. Camino Vahcom. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Cristo Rey Church. Interment will be at Monte Calvario cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to HEATHER MORTUARY.

WRUBEL, Mae Kay, 88, of Tucson, died December 6, 1999. Surviving Mae is her daughter, Trudy Wrubel of Tucson; daughterin-law, Dolly Rosell of San Gabriel, CA; grandchildren, Joshua and Benjamin Aaron of Tucson, Paul (Tamara) Wrubel of CA. Preceding Mae in death are her husband, Rabbi Samuel Wrubel, and son, Warren Wrubel. Mae was a lifetime member of Hadassah, and also a member of Jewish Women International. A special thanks goes to the Rodriguez Family of Rancho Familia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Or Chadash, 630 N. Craycroft, Tucson, AZ 85711. ANDERSON, Walfred L., 66, died December 6, 1999 in Tucson, Arizona, set free from his battle with Alzheimers. He has now joined his wife, Carolyn and daughter, Karen in the heavens above. He was a very loving father and will be greatly missed by his daughters, Michelle Caldwell, Cary Pintor, Laura Valencia, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Douglas, Ariz. on Saturday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimers Assoc., 5132 E. Pima St., Tucson, AZ 85712.

BLANCHARD, William Edward, 85, died December 7, 1999. Husband of Evelyn Blanchard; father of Ron (Nancy) Blanchard; grandfather of Kathleen, Paul, Michael (Tiffany) Blanchard and Karen Sloan; great-grandfather of Chelsea Blanchard. William was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Blanchard. He retired from Railway Express. Memorial Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 1999 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo. GOLDEN, Maurice, 'Uncle Moe' to his Tucson relatives and friends, passed away on December 8, 1999 at age 91. He was born in what is now know as Ukraine on June 24, 1908. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1921. Although he suffered from ill health when he arrived in America and was not expected to live, he not only survived but lived a long and productive life. He worked in New York City as a printer and lithographer; eventually he and his wife opened their own printing business in Brooklyn Heights, which they operated successfully for many years. After selling his business and retiring, Mr. Golden moved to Woodstock, New York and then to Tucson, where he spent the last 10 years of his life.
Uncle Moe loved literature and poetry and was himself an accomplished poet as well as first-class Scrabble player. He was in the truest sense a gentle man.
Mr. Golden was preceded in death by his wife, Stella. He is survived by two children, Elaine (Toby) Robison of Princeton, NJ, and Paul (Ellen) Golden of Greenwich, CT; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. In Arizona he is survived by nephews, Stanley (Norma) Feldman of Tucson and Ira (Susan) Feldman of Phoenix.
Funeral and burial will take place in New York City. The family thanks Oscar B. and Joyce W. for their loving care.

GRIMES, Margaret L., 86, of Tucson, died December 7, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; brother, Edwin; and sister, Evelyn. She is survived by her son, John (Millicent) Grimes; grand-children, Deborah A. (Ed) Fagin, John Jr. (Jill) Grimes; great-grandchildren, Nicole Ann Fagin, Eddie Fagin, Paloma Grimes, Pilar Grimes; brother, Robert (Isabel) Madill. A Memorial Service will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee, Saturday, December 11, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.

PIGOTT, Wanda J., 70, died December 7, 1999 at home surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Etta L. Neil. Survived by children, James (Laura Cannavo) Parker, Brenda (Jeannette) Esquibel, Martha (Jay) Quiros and David Young; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many cousins. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 10th at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Graveside services at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 11th at TMP East Lawn, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

GARRY B. WING, age 50, a 14 year resident of Tucson, passed away December 6, 1999 after a long battle with Parkinson's. Born July 9, 1949 in Bangor, Maine. Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Laura; son, Brent; daughter, Ann; parents, Ernest and Deborah Wing; mother-in-law, Barbara McDonald; sisters, Barbara and Louise. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 1999 at South Lawn cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave., Rev. Paul Nelson officiating. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

ANAYA, Paul A., 37, died December 8, 1999. He was a very loving person and will be greatly missed by all. Son of Rose Price and Ruben Anaya; brother of Sandy (Richard) Greisman, Carol (Tom) Mitchell, James and Janice Price; uncle of Brian, Rachael and Michael Greisman and Andrew Mitchell; grandson of Candida Anaya. He had many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Services will be held Saturday, December 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Mortuary, North Oracle and West Miracle Mile.

RAYMUNDO FRANCO BORQUEZ, 70, of Tucson, passed away December 9, 1999. Survived by children, AnaMarie Alcozar, Lisa Borquez, Jose R., Rudolph C. and Rene R. Borquez; brothers, Alfredo, Gavino and Manuel Borquez; sisters, Lucercia Howard, Eva Figueroa, Frances Garcia and Ester Borquez; special family friend, Maria Juarez. preceded in death by his loving wife, Christina C. Borquez; parents, Gavino and Antonia Borquez; sister, Dora Obregon.
Born in Phoenix on September 29, 1929, he was a Tucson resident for 70 years. Served in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne then worked 30 years for Pima County Hwy Dept. Raymundo's passion was his family and the great outdoors.
He is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives.
Mass will be held at Holy Trinity, St. David on December 13 at 11:00 a.m.
