WINSTON 'WINK' ADAM DAWKINS, 35, formerly of Tucson, AZ, departed this life on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 in Port Orchard, WA. Mr. Dawkins was 1982 graduate of Santa Rita High School, he later attended the University of Arizona, and joined the United States Navy in 1985.
Mr. Dawkins is survived by his wife, Sheryl; children, Winston II and Jordon; parents, Frank and Lois Dawkins; and brothers, Frank Jr. and Bryon.

MARTIN LEON, SR. - Born December 31, 1902 in Nerva, Huelva province, Spain, passed away December 14, 1999, at the Valleyhouse Health Center in Tucson, Arizona. preceded in death by wife, Adelina Leon.
A self-made and highly motivated individual, Martin immigrated to this country at the age of 18 with his older brother Alonso. His career started in working in restaurants and steel mills of Cleveland, OH. Later he was the Language Teacher at Berlitz School of Languages in Cleveland. In 1942 he joined the government's Office of Strategic Services. For three years there he served his adopted country as a Secret Agent and instructor in the rank of Captain in North Africa and Italy during the World War II. After completion of duties during the war he became the Translator at the Pan-American Union and Organization of the American States; Teacher of Spanish in Washington, D.C. In 1952, he joined his wife Adelina and children in Tucson where they had moved during the war. Positions held in Tucson, Arizona were Land Surveyor for Pima County Highway Department, Electronic Operator for Hughes Corporation and Official Court Interpreter and Bailiff of Pima County Superior Court. He was recommended by the Honorable Raul Castro, Governor to the State Board of Industrial Commissioners and served his term fully.
He graduated from High School followed by two years of Mining Engineering in Spain and two years at Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Adobe #41; Teacher of Spanish and Portuguese languages; Teacher of the United States Constitution to future citizens; committeeman of the Pima County Democratic Committee; President of Spanish Club of Tucson; Former Officer of the Safford Credit Union.
He is survived by a son, Martin Leon, Jr. of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Delfina (Iradj) Azimi of Tucson, AZ; his sister, Eloisa Leon Torrado of Nerva, Spain; grandchildren, Martin Leon III, Barry Leon, Noel Leon, and Anita Azimi; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

DAUBERT, Dawn Arleene, 73, of Tucson, passed away on December 18, 1999. Survivors include two sisters, one brother, two children, Chet Daubert of Tulsa, OK and Daun D'Anci of Vail, CO, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Chet. As a teenager, she was an autograph hound who also aspired to be an actress. Dawn moved here nine years ago from New York and loved Tucson. TERESA LOPEZ FEDERICO, 85, of Tucson, born April 7, 1914, died December 19, 1999. preceded in death by sister, Mary Majalca; brothers, Raul and Severo Lopez. Survived by daughters, Irene Noriega and Gloria Ruiz; son, Frank Federico; sisters, Marina Moran, Esther (Harry) Foust, and Paula Garcia; brothers, Aurelio Lopez and Raynold Moran; beloved niece, Angie Lopez. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In the 20's and early 30's when Tucson was a pueblito of less than 45, 000, Teresita Lopez was known for her beautiful nightingale voice, and the then popular honor of La Reina del 16 del Septiembre '36. Later she became the long time nurse to Doctor Brainard-Scott and Gillet and later to Dr. Jane Orient. She will be dearly missed by her long time friend and sister, Esther Foust and her beloved children, grandchildren and nieces.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose Church. Interment will be private.
