Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew that loved him. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 09, 2000 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at San Martin De Porres Church in Sahuarita, Arizona, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Monday, January 10, 2000, 10:00 a.m. also at San Martin De Porres. KELLEY, Esther L., age 91, died Monday, January 3, 2000. Mrs. Kelley was a long time resident of Tucson. She is survived by her nephew, Paul Tomlinson of Seattle, Washington, and by many friends in Tucson. Mrs. Kelley was very artistic, and loved working with watercolors. LACY, Josephine (Jo) Wipior, born November 3rd, 1917 in Harvey, Illinois, died Thursday, January 6, 2000 of a severe stroke. Jo was well known in Tucson and Green Valley for her prowess in local, state, national and international competition as a Senior Olympic swimmer. Jo graduated from Thornton Junior College in Harvey, Illinois, the University of Illinois (AB, Physical Education), and the University of Arizona (MA, Counseling). She worked in various jobs for the Harvard Crimson newspaper in Cambridge, the U.S. War Department in Boston, teaching in Watseka, Illinois and at Alice Vail Junior High and as Student Counselor at Rincon High School, and as Admissions Officer at James Cook University, Australia. She is survived by her husband, Bill Lacy; six children, (John, Carol Salazar, Marian Fellows, Barbara Lacy, Linda Alexander and Martha Goode); sixteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Jo was an active volunteer in the Laubach Literacy Program and assisted with reading skills in various Tucson Public Schools. She was a member of PEO, Catalina United Methodist Church (Homebuilders Sunday School Class). Memorial Services will be held at the Chapel at Catalina United Methodist Church (2700 E. QUIROZ, Miguel, 71, of Tucson, passed away on December 27, 1999. He is survived by five sons, James (Theresa), Henry (Maria), Michael, Joe Charles, Douglas; two daughters, Lilly Quiroz, Grace (Thomas) Estrada; two sisters, Armida Scheers, Grace Pena; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. ARMSTRONG, Anna Belle, died of natural causes Thursday morning, January 6, 2000 at her home in Tucson. Ann was born in Billings, Montana on May 25, 1928 to Oscar and Bertha McBeth. Ann went to grade schools in Billings, MT, and graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1946. Ann worked in Tucson, AZ, where she retired. Ann loved animals of all kinds and especially cats, of which she had many. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bertha McBeth; brothers, Bruce, Wayne, Robert, and Wallace. She is survived by one sister, Marjorie (Jim) Meader of Billings, MT; brothers, Keith (Wanda) McBeth of New Jersey; and Del McBeth of California; sisterin-law, Bette McBeth of Annandale, Virginia; and a very special friend, Mr. Jim Hickey. BOKEMAN, Howard H., age 81, of Tucson, passed away Friday, January 7, 2000. A Bank One employee for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary and a daughter, Linda Bokelmann. Howard is survived by daughters, Beverly (Keith) Hartje, Brenda (Ronald) Ferris, and Sandra (Steven) Gray; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a dear friend, Evan Roubicek.

DI IOLI, Gerard Jr., passed away January 7, 2000. Born in Benson, AZ. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; son, Gerard III (Charlotte) of CA; Larry of CA; daughter, Judi of Tucson; four grandsons, Gerard IV (Tina), Jason, Kenny, and Marc; two grand- daughters, Denise of CA and Domani of ID; six great-grandchildren; brother, Dominic of San Francisco; sister, Ellie West of Seal Beach; brother-in-law, Fred; sister-in-law, Rogelia; and many other loving family members and friends. preceded in death by one son, Bill; brothers, Bill and Albert; sisters, Mary and Julia. Jerry worked for S.P. Railroad for 41 years. He retired in Long Beach, CA in 1979 and relocated to Arizona after 20 years to reside in Tucson. Gerard served in Co. F. 163 D Infantry Reg. during WWII and was honorably discharged after serving in Asiatic Theater in 1946. Jerry held memberships in the Blue Lodge #33, in Bowie, Scottish Rite, at Valley of Long Beach and was a 32° Mason. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at South Lawn Chapel. GESELL, Effie M., age 92, of Tucson, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2000. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Rev. George Gesell and a son, Gerald Gesell. She is survived by her daughters, Florence (Don) Needham of Parshall, North Dakota; Ruth (John) Gilbert of Tucson; Carol (Jim) Oby of Tucson; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

JOHNSON, Margaret J., age 82, of Epworth Heights, Michigan, died January 1, 2000 at the family winter home in Tucson, Arizona. She was born November 20, 1917 to Arlene and Harold R. Foster in Greenley, Colorado. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Clarence; a son, Dan F. Johnson of Freeport, IL; two daughters, Mary M. Lehnhard of Freeport, IL, Linda R. McMillen of Carbondale, IL; and two grandchildren; one brother, Thompson Foster of Sumter, South Carolina; and a sister, Jean Anthony of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Margaret attended school in Minne- apolis and also became an accomplished figure skater. She joined the Ice Follies in 1936 when it was formed with local skaters and financed by parents and friends. The show was a huge success and was soon a family favorite in the United States and Canada. She traveled with the Follies until 1946 when she married
and started a family.
She was an active member in the Village Club, Infant Welfare, Memorial Hospital, the Episcopal Church guilds, The Winona C.C., La Grange C.C., Lincoln Hill C.C., and the Skyline C.C. The Epworth Golf Bags and the Puttering Place.
A Family Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Freeport, IL in early February and a Memorial Service this summer at the Epworth Church in Ludington, Michigan.

SMSgt. WILLIAM J. PITTS, NCO, age 56, of Tucson, a recently retired member of the Arizona Air National Guard, and a deacon for the Christ Presbyterian Church, was called home Friday, January 7, 2000. William was preceded in death by his father, William Pitts; brother, Kevin Pitts; daughter, Ashley Pitts; and son, David Pitts.
He is survived by his wife, Jill; and daughters, Kelly (Charles) Cheeseman, Kimberly (Kenneth) Johnson, Kristina (James) Kellie, and Caitlin McCoy, all also of Tucson; sons, William Pitts, Kevin Pitts, Matthew McCoy, and Andrew Pitts; mother, Winona Pitts; 11 grandchildren; sister, Winona Woideck of Prescott, AZ; and three brothers, Darrell Pitts of Tucson, Patrick Pitts of Florida, and David Pitts of Las Vegas, NV.

TAYLOR, Walter W. 'Wally', May 3, 1906 – January 5, 2000. Born Anderson, Arkansas, he lived in Tucson since 1932. Survived by sisters, Auzella Harmon of Alameda, CA, Daisy Dyer of El Cajon, CA; and Juanita Mariscal of Winslow, AZ; brother, Mellon B. Taylor of Klamath Falls, OR; and many nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew Wally loved him; he was a gentle man in very sense. He spent most of his life in automobile sales; he loved Cadillacs and Citroens.
