ARMSTRONG, Anna Belle, died of natural causes Thursday morning, January 6, 2000 at her home in Tucson. Ann was born in Billings, Montana on May 25, 1928 to Oscar and Bertha McBeth. Ann went to grade schools in Billings, MT, and graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1946. Ann worked in Tucson, AZ, where she retired. Ann loved animals of all kinds and especially cats, of which she had many. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bertha McBeth; brothers, Bruce, Wayne, Robert, and Wallace. She is survived by one sister, Marjorie (Jim) Meader of Billings, MT; brothers, Keith (Wanda) McBeth of New Jersey; and Del McBeth of California; sister-in-law, Bette McBeth of Annandale, Virginia; and a very special friend, Mr. Jim Hickey. ARNONE, Joan, 67, loved to travel, and she took her final journey, to the Lord, on January 10, 2000. Joan is survived by daughters, Dawn (Fred) Boyd of Livermore, CA, Denyse (Paul) Lutz of Prescott, AZ; sons, Philip Arnone and David Arnone of Chicago, IL; sister, Lorayne Carrigan of Tucson; brother, Ronald Garlock of Chicago, IL; niece, Candice (Charlie) Tucker of Tucson, AZ; nephew, Clifford (Susan) Carrigan of Daly City, CA; grandsons, Nicholas, Joshua, Philip, Taylor and Ryan; and grand nephews, Alex and Cody. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip. Joan was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She touched the lives of many people with her sense of humor, her caring nature, her sense of adventure and her love of life. Joan was raised in Chicago, Illinois and lived in Tucson since 1980. She had a long career in the banking industry then retired to travel and spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the many people who loved and cared for Joan during her long illness; her caretakers and her beloved friends. CANALES, Jesus 69, died January 9, 2000. Jesus was a retired US Postal Worker who served his country in both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He always had a smile for everyone he met and always had a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances were. He was a singer who enjoyed life but most of all he was a father first and a husband always. We will miss you Dad. FISHBACK, Josephine Asaro, 78, died January 10, 2000. She was a long time resident of Brookfield IL, owner of Manley's Restaurant there and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Barbara's Women's club. Retiring to Tucson in 1973, she was a member of the Eagles R.E.A.C., and past president of Let's Dance Club and St. Francis De Sales Women's Club. She is survived by two daughters, Liz and Donna; four granddaughters, Liza, Cindy, Sherry and Alexis; two grandsons, Bill and Matt; one great-grandson named JJ; and one sister, Anna. all of Tucson; three brothers, Jim, Chuck and John who live in IL, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Many thanks to the nursing staff at Devon Gables who loved and cared for her in her last days as if she was their own. She taught us to love and serve the Lord through service to family, friends, church and country. She lives now forever with God and in our hearts. BAILEY, Catherine Eliza, was born in Battle, Mississippi May 29, 1910 to William Ross Clark and Mary Lottie McLauren. She resided in Tucson since 1954. preceded in death by her husband, G. Paul Bailey and her son, William Rodney Bailey. She had eight children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She loved cats and was active in Cat Clubs in Arizona in her earlier years. She was active in her community and church in her younger years; was musically inclined and played the piano. CHRISTENSEN, Knud V., 85, beloved father and grandfather died January 6, 2000. Survived by children, Harry E. Christensen, George W. Bromley, Donna Bromley Sullivan and Mary DeWeese; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Born and raised in Aalborg, Denmark and the last of nine children, Knud was active in the Tucson Danish Club. He proudly served during WW II in the Merchant Marine and Coast Guard in five theaters and was honorably discharged as a Chief Engineer. Knud was an auto mechanic at Beaudry Motor Co. for 25 years. An avid bowler, enjoying his last game about a month ago. Reception will be Saturday, January 15, 2000 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Forum, 2500 N. Rosemont. FELLNER, George Martin, entered into eternal rest January 11, 2000, after celebrating his 80th birthday on January 4, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; three sons, Richard (Teri) George, Jr. (Christine), Dr. William Fellner; one daughter, Kathy Young (Vic); nine grandchildren and four great-grandsons. Mr. Fellner was owner of Fellner Refrigeration Inc., until his retirement and passing-on of the business to his son George, Jr. He will be remembered by friends as an avid bowler.
