JOHNSON, Hilda Lundy 87, died January 20, 2000. Hilda is survived by her stepchildren, Michael and Annette Johnson of Tucson and their children, Levi, Eloise and Hannah; Christopher and Victoria Johnson of Tucson and their children, Victoria and Lynn Elizabeth; and Lynn and Peter Colton of Benson and their children, Matthew Evans, Peter Joseph and Travis. She is also survived by her brother, Ross Lundy of Toledo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, John McGill Johnson.
Hilda was born in Canada and later moved to Toledo, Ohio, where she met and married
David Coulter. She and David moved to Tucson in 1942. Hilda was widowed in 1967 and began working at the University of Arizona Student Health Center. She married
John in 1973 and got three stepchildren, and later eight grandchildren, in the bargain, all who love her dearly and will miss her greatly.
Hilda was a longtime member of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church where she and John were involved in many church ministries. Hilda was also an active volunteer for Arizona's Boys Ranch and Meals on Wheels.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. 3rd St., Tucson, AZ 85716, on Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at 4:00 p.m., the Reverend Stuart Taylor officiating. The family requests no flowers except those you may wish to send to a loved only still living, with a kiss from Hilda.
ALBERT LENT - Our beloved father, Albert Lent, died suddenly January 20, 2000. He was born in Chambersburg, PA., December 26, 1923. Arizona became his lifetime home where he distinguished himself as an active member of the community. Tucson High found him an outstanding athlete and scholar. He graduated cum laud from the University of Arizona, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, after serving as a Lieutenant in the United States Army. Albert, along with his father, Albert, and brother, Gordon, served the Agricultural Community throughout Arizona as executives of Arizona Feeds.
Albert's community involvement included presidency of the Tucson Rotary Club, Membership on the Boards of the Pima Savings and Loan and the Airport Authority. He chaired the United Way Fund Drive and prided himself as a lifetime blood donor to the American Red Cross.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, after a marriage of fifty years. He is survived by a brother, Gordon Lent (Diane) of Modesto, California; a sister, Barbara Lovett (Dr. Vernor) of Tucson; and brother-in-law, Warren Eyer (Therese) of Tucson; and dear friend, Betty Milburn Shumacher of Tucson. Survivors also include his five daughters, Eleanor Kawananakoa (David) of Waimanalo, HI; Barbara Palmer (David) of Phoenix; Virginia Mann (Larry) of Tucson; Kathy Martinez (Billy) of Tucson; and Susan Pietrangelo (John) of Ruidoso, NM. Albert was blessed with eleven grandchildren; five great-grand- children; and nine nieces and nephews.
It goes without saying that Albert's community of friends and family have suffered a great loss. His legacy will live on for those who knew of his high moral character, his great love of nature, his devotion to loved ones and his keen sense of humor. Kindness and tenderness of spirit is what we are all left with.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2000, 2:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave.

EDWARD 'EDDIE' V. LOPEZ joined his wife, Pupie, and daughter, Lizzie January 20, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his father, Robert Lopez. Eddie was, above all, a proud Marine, serving in the Korean War as a member of Company 'E'. A Sheetmetal Journeyman, he was a member of Sheet Metal Local 102 and had been retired for several years.
Survivors include daughters, Deborah A. Lopez and Lupita (Tom) Bettini; and sons, Edward (Carla) R. Lopez and Richard (Jessie) P. Lopez. Also surviving are his sister, Irene (Joe) Trujillo; and brothers, Tony (Sandra) Lopez and Robert Lopez. He will be missed by 'Ma' Guadalupe Alvarez and sister-in-law, Delfina Alvarez and brother-in-law, Faustino (Gloria) and Dennis (Carla) Alvarez. His eight beloved grandchildren bid him ‘Adios' as he joins 'Nana Pupie'. They have been reunited for Eternity.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave.

MORENO, Elvia, age 77, of Nogales, died Saturday, January 22, 2000. Elvia, a lover of art and music, was known for her beautiful singing voice. preceded in death by her brothers, Roberto, Arnoldo and Sergio, and sister-in-law, Maria. WELLS, Edward J., 83, passed away January 22, 2000. A resident of Tucson of 17 years, he was born May 14, 1916 in Winchel, TX. preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Marjorie.
