JOHN WARREN KILLEBREW, 88, died December 27, 1999. Survived by wife of 53 years, Edna Lovell Killebrew; son, Michael Killebrew; stepchildren, Don E. Lovell of Prescott, AZ and Ann (Ray) Newsom of Dickinson, TX; to his grandchildren he was known as 'Pappa', they are Adam, Chelsey, Megan, Ethan, and Shari of Dickinson, TX; Shawn of Berkeley, CA; Robb of Tempe, AZ; Roxan and Johnathan of Coats, NC; daughter-in-law, Rae Killebrew of Cary, NC; good friends, Bobby Glasser, Julie Chind and Harold and Ann Glegg. He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Jack Killebrew from a previous marriage. John attended Troy State Teachers College in Alabama before enlisting in the Navy during WWII, and was in communications on the USS Monitor. After serving in the Navy five years, he was employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad until his retirement as a conductor. He was a natural athlete, excelling in several sports, but particularly in golf. He had a sharp sense of humor and an engaging personality. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. KRAKOWER, Freda, 83, of Tucson, died January 25, 2000. A Cincinnati, OH native, she resided in Tucson since 1940 with her husband of 61 years, Sid Krakower, who predeceased her on May 1, 1998. Both Sid and Freda were founding members of Congregation Anshei Israel. She was active in B'nai B'rith and Congregation Anshei Israel Sisterhood. She was unselfish in volunteering her time to help those in need. Survived by daughter, Marsha and her husband, Richard Hanley of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Hanley of Atlanta and Steve (Kelley) Zehngut of Huntington Beach, CA; and great-grandson, Nathan Zehngut of Huntington Beach, CA. TIM MATHIEU passed into our Lord's hands on January 24, 2000. We are saddened by the loss of our beloved father, son, and brother. Tim was a friend of Bill W. and through that program has helped and touched many peoples' lives. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Ralph 'Murph'. Tim is survived by his daughter, Kristin Nicole and Kristin's mother, Sara. He is also survived by his mother, Theresa; his sisters, Mary Carol (Arnold) Elias of Tucson, Annie (Jack) Gieseking and Patsy (Pat) Mellody of Phoenix; his brothers, Kevin and Mick (Kathy) of Tucson and Dan (Pamela) of Houston and many nieces and nephews, Peter and Bridget Mathieu, John Murphy and Ryan Gieseking, Kelly, Michael, and Katherine Mellody and Jacob and Emma Mathieu. PATRICIA LEA SAYERS died January 25, 2000. Beloved wife of Gordon L. 'Rex' Sayers of 35 years. preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Septimo and Rose diCosola and sister, Clarissa Marroquin. Beloved by her two nephews, Keith Brian Marroquin and Michael Thomas diCosola and countless students of Sunnyside District that reflected Patricia's 30 years of dedicated teaching at Los Ranchitos Elementary School. Her love of music was reflected by many school operettos and her professional singing career. Her retirement years were greatly enhanced by her interest in bridge and culminated by her artistic talent. Her style and class were respected by many, her care and concern were loved by all. SEESLER, Howard John, 82, of Tucson, passed away January 24, 2000. He is survived by his devoted children, Starr Seesler of Sierra Vista, Pamela Eatwell of Phoenix, Dawn (Donald) Marano of Salt Lake City; his adoring granddaughter, Jennifer (Clay) Pottebaum and his beloved dog, Tuppenee. Glendora, his devoted wife of 58 years, died March 1999 and greeted his courageous and dignified soul as he left us behind. Everyone whose lives he touched will remember and miss his and Glen's kindness and generosity. A memorial service will be held January 27th at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. VAS, Louis A., 74, beloved husband, father, and Marine veteran, passed away on January 25, 2000. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty; daughters, Mary Velasquez, Linda Tovar, Debra Aydelotte, Brenda Vas, and Mellissa Forwerck; a brother, John Vas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. No services will be held. Burial will be at the National Memorial cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
MRS. ALBERTA VERDINE WILLIFORD - Was born April 26, 1925 in West Plains, MO. The eldest daughter of Albert and Lois Campbell. Alberta lived in West Plains, MO until she moved to Tucson, AZ in 1945. On January 19, 2000, God called Alberta's name and she answered. Both parents, Albert and Lois Campbell; one sister, Betty Cook; one daughter, Rosie Walker; and one grandson, James Williford, Jr. preceded her in death.
Alberta was a hard working lady and mother. She was self employed for over 40 years until her health failed her.
Alberta Verdine Williford was called at 10:40 p.m. on January 19, 2000.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Mary WillifordBrown of Tucson; two sons, James Williford and wife, Demetrice Williford of Tucson; Willie Williford and wife, Hazel Williford of Flint, Mich.; one sister, Connie Hill and husband, Willie Hill of Tucson; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

IFFLANDER, Clayton F., Maj. US Army Ret., 71, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away January 26, 2000. Survived by wife of 45 years, Rosemary; children, Lt. Col. Major Ifflander served in Korea, two tours in Vietnam and retired from the Army after twenty years of service. Clayton was a man who loved Jesus and expressed it by being a friend to all. He loved and cared for many people, wherever he went. He was an avid flyer, member of the Cactus Amateur Radio Club, GABA Bicycle Club, Rincon Congregational Church. LEWALLEN, Irene S., 90, born on February 1, 1909 in Divernon, IL, passed away December 13, 1999 at home after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Adams of Merlin, OR, and Sandra Premer of Southlake, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

FRANCES B. MIRANDA, 59, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away January 26, 2000. preceded in death by parents, Francisco and Carmen Bermudez; brother, Frank Bermudez. Survived by loving husband, Miguel 'Mike' Miranda; sisters, Dahlia 'Delia' (Henry) Figueroa, Cecelia (Tony) Rodriguez and Celia (Ernesto) Almazan; sister-in-law, Maria Beatriz 'Betty' Bermudez; mother-in-law, Socorro M. Miranda. Also survived by two aunts, Herminia Collins and Tila Cienfuegos; many nephews and nieces and their children, and many friends.
Frances was employed by Thomas Davis Clinic for 15 years and by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for 23 years. She was a graduate of Tucson High School, year 1959 and attended the University of Arizona. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish. Her passion was sharing and enjoying life to the fullest with her loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2000 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Parish, 1300 N. Greasewood, with a Rosary recited at 8:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Tuesday, February 01, 2000, 10:30 a.m. also at Most Holy Trinity Parish. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery.

REJON, Marciana, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2000. Born in Colima, Colima Mexico.
She came to Tucson in 1928 to work for the Borgaro Family as their Nanny. She cared for Adelina and Carmen Borgario throughout their childhood. She continued her service to the family by caring for Carmen's two sons, Bradford and Michael Hultquist until they, too were grown. Staying on with the Hultquists, she enjoyed a full and active life. A former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and Hija Catholica. She regularly attended services at Saint Augustine's Cathedral. Marciana will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2000 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S.
