Mother of Russellyn Hawkins, Jennie Lynn Grejtak and Leo (Linda) Jost, II; grandmother of nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister of Joy Hill and Richard Flannery. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Dorothy Flannery and her husband Leo Andrew Jost. Funeral Service 10:00 AM, Friday, February 11, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL with Thomas O. Wing officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 AM to service time at BRINGS BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Donations in Dolores' memory may be made to Casa de la Luce Hospice, 6812 N. LADOWSKI, JOHN A., 66, a TransWorld Airline employee for 33 years, died January 9, 2000, duties as a Customer Service Agent were well known.
He is survived by his wife, Nora, his five children; Linda, Jayne, Tony, John, and Douglas, five grandchildren, and one brother and sister.

RICHARD B. LOPEZ, 55, of Tucson, Arizona passed away February 7, 2000. Survived by wife, Geraldine D. Lopez; brother, Robert (Norma) Lopez; sister, Cecilia Garcia; Tio: Joe Lopez and his family whom he was very close to; uncles and cousins in Mesa and California; pets, Oscar and Chapo; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2000 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, February 11, 2000, 10:30 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. Richard was a member of Mill Wright Local #1914 since 1973. He was also in the Navy in the Vietnam War. He will be missed by his family and friends, but they are happy he is with our lord Jesus now. Nicholas J. Mammana, 70, a wonderful husband, brother, uncle, and friend, died February 7, 2000. He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine, brother, Robert B., M.D., sisters-in-law, Ana, Donna Smith, and Hope, nephews, Robert D., Gregory, Zachary, and Joseph, nieces, Karen, Hope, and Mari all of whom gave him much joy and happiness in his lifetime. We all love you and will miss you forever, Nick.
Nick was a retired Senior Executive of the Bell System in New York City. During his Bell System career, he also served at various times as guest lecturer and member of the faculty of many graduate schools including Pace, Michigan State, NYU, and UC Berkeley.
Following retirement, he and Catherine moved to Tucson where he spent several years as a member of the faculty at the U of A College of Business and Public Administration and at the University of Phoenix. During his lifetime, Nick acquired many friends among his former students. He always made time to discuss their ambitions and careers and took great pleasure in doing this.
In addition to teaching, he began a new career in consulting, principally in the telecommunications industry.
Nick was also very proud of his longstanding membership on the Board of Trustees of Northwest Medical Center, serving as Chairman for many years and Vice-Chairman to the present time.
Mass will be offered at 10am on Saturday, February 12, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

McCARTY, Harold G., Jr. age 64, of Leeds, AL, formerly of Tucson, AZ died February 7, 2000 in Tucson. Harold is a retired Battalion Chief with the Tucson Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his first wife Freddie Jean. Survived by his wife, Rose Ann; mother, Maude Tackett; daughter, Lisa (Raymond) Ingegneri; sons, Alan McCarty and Gregory (Nellie) McCarty; stepchildren, Melanie and Ben; grandchildren, Raymond, Kyle, Greg, Christopher, Matt, and Reghan. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 11 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial will be in East Lawn Palms cemetery.

McELROY, William P. (Pat), of Tucson, AZ died on February 7, 2000. He and his wife of 61 years, Mary Louise, came to Tucson 11 years ago from East Hampton, NY, where he was the owner of The East Hampton Shoe Store for many years until his retirement in 1973. He was a graduate of Bridgehampton High School, the Perkioman School and Lehigh University. In East Hampton he served as a Village Trustee, served on the Board of Education and was a 50-year member of the Lions Club. He was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church and an avid sailor. In Tucson his activities included hiking, cycling, skiing and golf. He is survived by his wife; his son, David W. McElroy and daughter-in-law, Patricia of Greensboro, NC; his daughter, Marge M. Grimmer and son-in-law, Gerald G. Grimmer of Fanwood, NJ; his daughter, Marianne M. Latimer and son-in-law, Howard J. Latimer of Tolland, CT; his son, Thomas C. McElroy of Reno, NV; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, February 10, 10:00 A.M., at Santa Catalina Mission. Friends are invited to stay for a reception following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Santa Catalina Mission Building Fund, 14380 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85737 or to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society. MORAN, Susana C., 73, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away February 7, 2000. Survived by son, Rocky of Sahuarita; granddaughter, Alexandra C. Moran. Memorial Services 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 11 at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus.

MORRIS, Willard J., 72, of Tucson, died Monday, February 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Morris of Tucson; sons Richard and Mark Morris; daughters, Drue and Susan Morris; two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army A.R.C., 2717 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85713 on Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at 5:30 PM. Arrangements entrusted to HEATHER MORTUARY.

RESKIN, Shirley L., 78, of Tucson, died February 4, 2000. Wife of Marvin Reskin of Tucson; mother of George (Peggy) Reskin of Berkley, CA, Melinda (Hal) Reskin-Miller of St. Louis, MO, Glenn (Mary) Reskin of Tucson; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild. SAPP, Norris I., died February 7, 2000 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Yvonne Sapp; three sons, Scott (Phyllis) Sapp, Jason Sapp, Chris Sapp; one brother, Robert Sapp; two sisters, Kathy Burton and Irene Latinis; two grandsons, Alex and Austin; and other numerous relatives and friends. DONALD VESTER HENDERSON went to the other side on February 4, 2000. He was a native of Tucson and graduated from Tucson High in 1945. He was retired from Hughes Aircraft. Don was a member of Tucson Lodge No. 4, Scottish Rite, Tucson East Elks, and Rolling Hills Golf Course. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, and children, Don Jr. and Bobbi Hulen of Amarillo, TX; Ross Henderson and Kerrie Dalrymple of Santee, CA; Dennis West of Taos, NM, and Richard Leschinsky of Denver, CO; and seven grandchildren. He had a warm and winning smile, a great sense of humor, and was greatly loved by many. If desired, donations may be made to Sabbar Shrine Children's Hospitals.

JOSEPH F. McGUIRE, 83, of Tucson, died February 6, 2000. Predeceased by wife, Helen of 61 years. Survived by daughter, Karen Henry; sons, Pat, Dan, Mike, Tim and Gary; grandchildren, Mary, Donna, Jimmy, Jamie, David, Tom, Joe, Natalie, Jennifer, Kendall, Amanda, Christina, Molly, Gabby and Lilly; and great-grandchildren, Patrick, Joel, Michelle, Kelsy, Jacy, Joey and Riley; sister, Mary Ceil Verrill of MI; sister-in law, Doreen McGuire of MI. OROZCO, Dolores D., 82, died February 4, 2000. Wife of Miguel Orozco; mother of Rosa (Adolfo) Marquez, Miguel (Irma) Orozco, Maria (Ralph) Badilla, Elena Orozco, Jesus (Juanita) Orozco, Dolores Tellez, Virginia (Hector) Pizano, Frank (Donna) Orozco, Martha (Armando) Arias and Estella (Ruben) Quiroga; sister of Petra (Santiago) Orozco and Demitra Alverez; 33 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren also survive. STOFFER, Julia P., 81, died February 4, 2000 in Tucson, AZ. She was born in Cleveland, OH January 22, 1919. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade O. Stoffer. She is survived by daughter, Barbara Butler of Sopchoppy, FL; granddaughters, Lauren McBeth and Lisa Butler; two great-grandchildren, Aaron McBeth and Trevor Woods, all of St. Petersburg FL. She had many friends. She was a member of the Silverbell Grace Brethren Church. There will be no services. Arrangements by Desert Rose Cremation & Burial 790-6388.

VERGARA, Antonio G., Sr., 88, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away February 7, 2000. Survived by wife, Maria Louisa Vergara of 69 years; daughters, Elsa Tomalka of Phoenix and Margarita Vergara; sons, Eduardo Antonio Jr. (Sue) of California, Alejandro (Dora) of California and Francisco (MaryLee) Vergara; sister, Molly (Ramon) Arvizu; brother, Roberto (Mary) Vergara. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 11, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 300 S. MARGARET SLIVON WHITE - Born February 15, 1914, passed away February 5, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay M. White. Survived by son, John (Mary), grandchildren, Nathan and Melissa of Kenai, Alaska; daughter, Nancy (James) Munn, granddaughters, Jennifer and Christie of Brookfield, Connecticut; and daughter, Margaret Richardson of Tucson, with whom she made her home. Marge is also survived by brothers, Fred Slivon, Joseph (Millie) Slivon and Frank (Alice) Slivon; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations be made to Handmaker Adult Daycare, 5100 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712, where Marge spent many happy hours.
Friends are invited to visit with Margaret, Friday, February 11th at her home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.

ADAMS, Arline M., born April 21, 1915 to Walter and Mary Frick in Cleveland, Ohio, died February 8, 2000. Wife 50 years, married Gail Adams of Raymond, Washington on August 20, 1949. She is survived by three sons, Dale Adams of St. George, UT, Dean Adams of Tucson and David (Breda) Adams of Tucson; sister, Audrey (Art) of Tucson; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arline was a devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed by both family and friends. Memorial Services for Mrs. Adams will be held February 12, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 1220 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, AZ. ADAMS, Gail W., born June 8, 1918 to George and Edna Adams in Raymond, Washington, died February 5, 2000. Husband of 50 years, married Arline Frick of Cleveland, Ohio on August 20, 1949. He is survived by three sons, Dale Adams of St. George, UT, Dean Adams of Tucson and David (Breda) Adams of Tucson; brother, Philip Neal Adams of West Covina, CA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Gail was a WWII veteran and had operated businesses in California and in Arizona. He was a Mason and was also a member of the Lions Club International. Gail was a devoted husband and father and will be sadly missed by both family and friends. Funeral Services for Mr. Adams will be held February 12, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 1220 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, AZ. May he have eternal rest in the hands of our Lord. BARBARA JEWELL ASMUSSEN, 68, of Tucson, AZ, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000. She was born January 12, 1932 in Gainesville, GA to Jesse and Anna Lou (Dorough) Jewell. preceded in death by husband, Richard Asmussen. Survived by only child, Anna Beth Asmussen of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Jaye McIntosh of Irvine, CA and Patricia Jewell Prince of Gainesville, GA. She was a concert pianist until her hands were no longer able to play, due to rheumatoid arthritis. Barbara moved to Tucson in 1952 and received a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the U of A. She served as a Rehabilitation Counselor at St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Hospitals for many years. She received several community service awards. Barbara was president and served for many years on the Board of Planned Parenthood. She was active in the Stroke Club, Grief Group, Fibromyalgia Support Group, the Art Center and Tucson Botanical Gardens. She was a member of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church and the Junior League. She was known for starting support groups when and where needed. Memorial Services 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13 at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. Third St. Remembrances may be made to Planned Parenthood or The Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to HEATHER MORTUARY.
