WEST, Harry E., born June 7, 1914 in Chicago, IL, entered into rest February 15, 2000 in Tucson, AZ. Survived by wife of 62 years, Ruth; children, Harry Jr. and Mary; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Waneta Lesher. Harry and Ruth moved to Tucson in 1952 from Rockford, IL and he retired from Hughes in 1984. He had also worked for Burr-Brown and Martin-Marietta. Harry was an engineer and designer. He was also an avid artist and loved working with watercolors. He was involved in the inaugural of Junior Achievement of Tucson, the Boy Scouts of America and a member of Evangelical Covenant Church. WILLIAMSON, Lily Mae, died February 13, 2000 in Tucson, AZ. Born 1907 in Copper Hill, TN. Her parents, Leon Joseph and Goulie Boudreaux brought her West to Tucson the same year. Mae attended Tucson Schools and later married
James A. Williamson. She and James lived in Houston, TX for many years and Mae returned to Tucson after his death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Samuel L., William W., Frances A. and Robert B. Boudreaux. Survived by sister, Ruth Dutiel of Douglas and her family, Kitty Hundertmart, Carol S. Taylor, Robert Dutiel, Jr. and James J. Dutiel; numerous other nieces and nephews also survive. She was a beautiful person and she will be deeply missed. RUTH TROM WILKISON DEAL - Born June 18, 1907 to Olava Johnson Trom and Olaf K. Trom in Davenport, ND and died peacefully in Tucson, AZ, February 15, 2000.
Ruth graduated from high school as valedictorian and got her teaching certificate from Valley City Teacher's College. In the 1930's she ventured to Tucson and taught elementary school and music at Safford School. In Tucson she met and married
attorney Thomas E. Wilkison who predeceased her in 1980.
Ruth had great zest for life, unending energy and a very positive outlook on life. She traveled around the world, loved to dance, was an excellent cook and bridge player, and won numerous prizes for her piano playing and tailoring skills. A long standing member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, she sang in the choir and played the organ. She was past president of the Trowel & Glove Garden Club and was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Deal, and her children, Karen Wilkison, Thomas T. (Vickie) Wilkison of Tucson, and David E. (Deborah) Wilkison of Vail, AZ., step-daughter Sydney (Jim) Oppenheimer of Oro Valley, and grandchildren Scott, Sean, Jacqueline and David T. Wilkison, and Michelle (Joe) Puglia. Of her nine brothers and sisters, she is survived by her brother Ralph Trom of Fargo, ND and sister Luella Roden of Paseo Robles, CA. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at ManorCare and Carondelet Hospice for their special care.

DUNCAN, Bruce Gregory, Colonel US Air Force, Retired, died Friday, February 11, 2000. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie; daughters, Cynthia (Laird) McIntyre and Susan Duncan; son, Gregory (Rene) Duncan; grandchildren, Leslie and Megan McIntyre, Christopher and Carolyn Nault, Lauren, Kendyll and Kayla Duncan; and brother, Clark Duncan of Rockford, IL.
He was born in Ravenna, NE on January 15, 1919, and was raised in Missouri and Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1940. He served in North Africa and Italy during WWII, returning to the US Air Force as a comptroller. He served for 31 years, completing a distinguished career in August 1972. He has lived in Tucson with his wife, Marjorie, since 1972, where he has been an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, serving the church as an elder as well as on a variety of committees. He participated in the Telecare ministry of Northwest Interfaith Center for 12 years. He was an active member of the Exchange Club.
He loved God, his friends, gardening, and U of A basketball, but his greatest joy was in his wife and family who have reaped the blessings of his time, attention, encouragement, quiet wise counsel, and unconditional love.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Andrew's, 750 West Chapala Drive, Tucson, AZ 85704.
HOPE CUEN ESTRELLA - Born April 16, 1936. passed away February 15, 2000. Beloved wife of Justo F. Estrella; loving mother of Frank E. HIGDON, Joanne, age 51, passed away February, 15, 2000. A wonderful Lady from Maine who brightened our lives with laughter and joy. She will sorrowfully be missed by her dancing buddies and friends that she has touched in Tucson over the last four years. Joanne was employed by the National Park Service for 30 years and served at Acadia National Park in Maine for 26 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Higdon; son, Stephen Heath, daughter-in-law, Mary Kate; sisters, Cathy and Patty; and step-children, Paula, Matthew, Jim, and Stacy; and nine grandchildren. Services will be conducted at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2000. Joanne will later be interned with her late husband, Dana Heath in Bar Harbor, Maine.
JIM DANIEL HIMELIC - passed away Saturday, February 12, 2000 after a courageous4-year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. Jim was 52 years old. He was born on March 19, 1947 in Salina, Kansas and grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln on a wrestling scholarship graduating in December of 1970. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in May of 1973. In October he began his employment at Pima County Attorney's Office. In 1975 he married
Diana Pesqueira. He left the prosecutors' office and entered private practice in 1982. Jim was appointed as a Court Commissioner in July of 1995. In January 1997, he was assigned as a judge to the Pima County Juvenile Court where he remained until his retirement last month. For 10 years Jim volunteered as a coach/manager with the Canyon del Oro Little League.
Jim is survived by his loving family: wife, Diana; children, Daniel, Ana, Michael, Jennifer, James and Jamie; parents, George and Thelma of Bellevue, Nebraska; brother, George (Judy) of Omaha, Nebraska; nephews and nieces, Mark, Kortney (Clint), Eric (Cindy), Kari, Mary, and Matthew; one grand-niece, Vanessa; and one grandnephew, Matthew.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Odilia's Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseodel Norte. Prayer service commencing at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, February 17, 10:00 a.m., at Community Church of the Foothills, 480 E. Ina Rd.
