ADKINS, Tracy Steven, 39, died March 11, 2000. Survived by his daughter, Colleen Adkins; Fiancee, Kristine Foss; mother, Delores (Donald) Harvell-Pierce; father, Gary Lovell Adkins; brothers, Gary and Chris (Shannon) Adkins; maternal grandmother, Helen Harvell; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2000 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grand Road.

BAKER, Don Marshall, was born October 7, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Marshall and Katherine Baker. He is a graduate of Albion College and Garrett School of Theology at Northwestern University.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lonsdale Baker; his daughters, Martha Baker Baum and Mary Buckelew; and his son, Don (Bucky) Baker II and his wife, Jodi. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Austin, Amy and Matthew Baum; John, Brian and Jillian Buckelew; Davis and Tyler Baker; and by his brother, Phil of Laguna Niguel, California.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Ann Baker.
Don began serving United Methodist churches throughout Michigan in 1955 until a move to Tucson in 1970 where he served the Catalina United Methodist Church.
He was co-founder of Baker, Peterson, Baker and Associates, Inc., real estate appraisers and consultants in 1974 until his retirement in 1996. He was a frequent lecturer on residential appraisal theory and technique, a state-approved instructor in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, and taught at the University of Arizona. He was the past President of the Tucson Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers.
He was the past President of the Southern Arizona Aquatic Association where he introduced procedures which are used today to provide summer swimming activities for hundreds of children.
He was the volunteer coordinator for the Emergency Department at University Medical Center, where he wrote the Orientation and Procedure Manual and taught the orientation class for volunteers.
He was an active member of St. Philip's In The Hills Episcopal Church where heco-directed the Yes to The Future campaign for the building of the new Music and Childrens' Center, served on the Vestry and as Senior Warden. He assisted in worship, led staff retreats and taught classes, most recently the 'At the Well' course. He also served on several committees of Tucson Metropolitan Ministries.
A Memorial Service at St. Philip's In The Hills (located at the northeast corner of River Road and Campbell Avenue) will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2000 at 2:30 p.m.
Memorials may be designated in Don Baker's name to St. Philip's In The Hills (Box 65840, Tucson, Arizona 85728) or Tucson Metropolitan Ministry (3127 E. Adams St., Tucson, Arizona 85716).

DIECKHOFF, Florence Katherine Henderson, passed away on March 14, 2000. She was born 1905 in La Grange, Illinois. Before moving to Tucson in 1969, Florence attended National College of Education (now National Louis University) in Evanston, IL., where she graduated with a lifetime certificate in elementary education. Before marrying, Florence taught in Royal Oak, Michigan. She married Andrew W. Henderson who preceded her in death in 1966. They raised three daughters in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan. She completed her bachelor's degree in elementary education at Wayne State University and taught first grade for many years in Melvindale, Michigan. She retired in 1968. She was blessed with a true gift for teaching She was also neighborhood chairman for Girl Scouts in Ferndale, Michigan, and was an active member of the Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church.
In 1976, Florence married a life-long friend, Arthur Dieckhoff, who preceded her to heaven in 1980. Her only sister, Esther Holmberg, a long-time Tucson resident, also preceded her in death in 1980. Her granddaughter, Kathryn Marie, went to wait for her in heaven in 1970.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Dr. Susan W. Sanders, Husband, Christopher, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, Jane D. Haynes, Husband, John, Menasha, Wisconsin, and Dr. Andrea K. Henderson, Tucson, Arizona. Five grandchildren survive, Ann Boyonoski (Nick), Dr. David Sanders (Audrey), Susanne Bruce (Jim), Andy Haynes, and Kari Seward (James). Five great-grandchildren survive: Garrett Boyonoski, Sarah and Emily Bruce, Andrew (Drew) and Genevieve Seward. Also survived by nephews, Jim Holmberg (Veronika), Tucson, AZ, and Don Holmberg (Debby), Dallas, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to: National Louis University in Chicago, IL (National College of Education campus in Evanston, IL) or the Humane Society of Tucson, Arizona, or Northminster Presbyterian Church, Tucson, AZ.
Florence lived for her family and will be greatly missed.

Mary M. Frklich, 78, of Tucson, passed away March 14, 2000. Survived by daughter, Kathryn; sons, Walter (Irene), Joseph, and Manny (Christi); sisters, Vickie, Ophelia, Henrietta, and Pauline; brothers, Ralph and Margarito; grandchildren, Christina, D.J., Amanada, Gabriela, Mathew, Briana, and Olivia.
You touched so many of us with your love and unselfish ways. We will always love you. We will miss you but never forget you.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2000 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Avenue with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Saturday, March 18, 2000, 10:15 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope cemetery. LUIS A. GASTELLUM, age 84, met his 'T' time with our heavenly Father on March 14, 2000 at home surrounded by his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Agatha; beloved daughters, Marie Martin (John), Gloria Rapp, Frances Rutherford (Larry); beloved sons, Ed (Carolyn), Steve (Karman), Ben, and Richard (Debby); 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Luis Gastellum was known for his enthusiastic love with the National Park Service, which he served with honors, receiving the Distinguished Service Award, the highest award given to an employee working for the Department of the Interior. He started his career in 1935 and retired from the National Park Service in 1973. He started his career as Chief Clerk at Casa Grande National Monument and worked at Grand Canyon National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, the Washington Office three times, the Southwest Regional Office twice and was Deputy Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park. He had several overseas assignments which included being a US representative for the Department of Commerce as a PR man promoting Visit USA, Caracas, Venezuela in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, United States Agency for International Development, and was designated the official representative of the US Government as an observer with the Chilean expedition to the Antarctica for the 1961-1962 period which was a highlight of his career.
In retirement, Luis served in many volunteer capacities serving on the Southwest Parks and Monument Board where he received the Distinguished Associate Award. He also served on the Boards of the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, the Rolling Hills Golf Course and the Men's Garden Club. He also served as a volunteer for the Yaqui Indians.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 17 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

GREENE, Harry G. (George), DDS, retired dentist, born March 19, 1911 to Sarah Rivak and Louis Greenstein in Chicago, Illinois, passed away March 13, 2000 of metastatic colon cancer, just six days before his 89th birthday. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bell (Lurie) of 52 years, and brother, Irving Greene. He is survived by his daughters, Gari-Sue Greene (George Chappell) of Tucson; and Esther Tonia (Toni) and Louis Rowitz, Evanston, IL; grand- children, David Robert Chappell of Tucson; Airman Recruit, Michael J. Chappell of Ft. Meade, MD; Julie Ann Rubey (James) of Des Plaines, IL, Ruth Ann Urban (Christopher) of Grays Lake, IL; great-granddaughters, Danielle Isabel and Roxanne Nicole; sister, Bailey Bishop of Northbrook, IL; brother, Bernard Greene, MD of CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Dr. Green was born a seven-month premature baby and was kept alive in a cigar box, filled with cotton batting and kept warm by bottles of warm water, who grew in stature throughout his lifetime. He was a multi-talented man, an accomplished guitar and banjo player who played for Al Capone's gang in Chicago in the late 1920's, and someone who always had a joke. Dr. Greene received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from the University of Illinois in 1934, was a WWII veteran serving his country as a forensic dentist. In 1936 he married the love of his life, Belle Lurie of Chicago.
In 1946, he invented a dental appliance that made history in the world of dentistry, the Snap-a-Ray, which was an appliance used by dentists to hold x-ray films in patients' mouths. It is still in use today. In 1968 he invented the Dam-E-Z-Ray, another appliance for endodontia, root canal work.
When he partially retired from dentistry, he and his wife became very active in a senior citizens entertainment group called 'Acting Up' and performed in the Chicago area and surrounding states. After her death in 1989 he moved to Tucson, where he lived for 10 1/2 years.
He was a member of the Chicago Amvets, American Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and The Blind Veterans Association. A special thank you to the Tucson Police Department where he was a volunteer for seven years and to Vista Care who made his last five days as comfortable as possible.
He served his country, his profession, his family, and lived life to the max. He will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Leukemia Foundation.
A Memorial Service will be held in the home of his daughter, Gari-Sue Greene Saturday, March 18, 2000. For more information call 886-8865.

HARRISON, Audrey L., passed quietly from this world on March 14, 2000 from ovarian cancer. She died at home with family at her side. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by three daughters; a son; and six grandchildren. She was a member of VFW, Irish and Polish Clubs. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2000 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Women's Center, 3959 E. Speedway, Suite 309, Tucson, AZ 85712. Arrangements entrusted to HEATHER MORTUARY.

HINSCH, Ralph A., was born in Chicago, Illinois on the 9th of June 1925, the only child of Eleanor and Lt. Col. Walter Hinsch. Upon graduation from Taft High School in 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During World War II, he saw service in Guam. Upon discharge he returned to Chicago and then enrolled at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He majored in Business Administration and received his degree in 1950.
Ralph and Joy H. Jackson were married in the Edison Park Lutheran Church on the 31st of May 1952. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in 1999. They have two daughters, Cynthia Joy Giamalva and Susan Christine Beier; and two grandchildren, Matthew Peter and Joy Caroline Giamalva. Cynthia and her family now live in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, while Susan calls Flowery Branch, George home.
Ralph and Joy lived in Chicago and Park Ridge, Illinois. During Ralph's business career, he was associated with John Plain and Company, Allied Radio and Montgomery Ward before joining Mark James in 1967 where he was partner and later president. When Ralph retired in January of 1992, he and Joy decided to 'go West' and they have lived in Tucson, Arizona since 1992.
Ralph enjoyed golfing and was a longtime member of Park Ridge Country Club and Skyline Country Club. He loved boats and cars and belonged to many groups whose members shared his interests.
He was proudest of his daughters and grandchildren. Ralph passed away on the 13th of March 2000. He will be missed by many.

LEROY, Lorna Emma, 90, entered eternal life on March 14, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Fred) Siegling; granddaughter, Erika (Travis) LeDuc; great grandchildren, Austin and Skylar LeDuc; sister, Mildred Gesell; and brother, Merrill Reithel in Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jean LeRoy in 1981. Lorna will be remembered as a very kind and lovely person who enjoyed her family. She always relished her independence and her ability to maintain her home, backyard flowers, trees and plants. She always had a display of outdoor lights at Christmas time and took pleasure in her display of miniatures that she arranged under her Christmas tree. Lorna was still driving safely, going to the grocery store and running errands as well as joining her family for dinner every Sunday. She was an active member of the Eastside Ott YMCA Women's group. Lorna was the loving caretaker of a large number of hand carved wooden miniature figures, sketches and paintings that were created by her late husband and were formerly displayed at his museum in Trail Dust Town and more recently at the Old Hidden Valley Inn. She will be dearly missed. Graveside Funeral Services and committal will be held on Friday, March 17, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. in East Lawn Palms cemetery, where she joins her husband in eternal rest. Visitation will begin an hour prior to services in EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
