KIGHTLINGER, Denise Kay, 44, passed away on March 29, 2000. She is survived by her loving husband, Micheal P. Kightlinger; two sons, Dale M. Kightlinger and Aaron J. Kightlinger; two daughters, Lisa M. Padilla and Dawn N. Kightlinger.
We will always love you. We will think of you everyday. You will live in all of our hearts. We will always remember the good times and the way you brought laughter to us all. You gave up anything you could to help us. You never wanted anything for yourself, you were the most giving person. She had many talents and she was a best friend to everyone. You are the most courageous woman we know and will ever meet. We think everything happens for a reason, and we want you to know we will be OK, and we will all see you and hold you again in heaven. We love you so much!

LANKARD, Robert Haupt, 83, of Tucson, died March 30, 2000. Survived by daughters, Judith Dewey of Idaho Falls, ID, Deborah Mork of Tucson, Roberta Dupere of Fall River, MA; son, Tom Lankard of Sacramento, CA. preceded in death by wife, Betty in 1994. DIANE S. LENT, 68, died at home in Modesto, CA, March 25, 2000. She was born in Chicago, IL on June 15, 1931 and grew up in Tucson. She was a graduate of Tucson High School in 1949 and the U. of A. in 1953. In addition to Tucson, Diane lived in Phoenix, Hawaii and for the past 13 years in Modesto, CA.
Diane was actively involved in many civic organizations during her years in Modesto. She was a board member of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra 1989-2000, the Association of California Symphony Orchestras 1995-1999, the McHenry Mansion Foundation 1988-1994, and the Salvation Army Advisory board 1998-1999. While a member of the Modesto Symphony Board, Diane encouraged programs designed to reach out to all facets of the Modesto Community. She served as President of the Board for two terms, 1995-1997. She also served as the Symphony Guild President in 1992-1993. Diane and her family recently established an endowment to support the Symphony's educational and family programming.
Diane is survived by her husband, J. Gorden Lent of Modesto; daughters Lia Lent of Little Rock, AR, Sally Ho of Honolulu, HI, Lori Lent of Moraga, CA, Jane Hinrichs of Honolulu, HI, Stacy Lent of Modesto, and 8 grandchildren. Her Tucson relatives include sister-in-law Barbara (Vernor) Lovett, and nieces Kathy (Bill) Martinez and Virginia (Larry) Mann.
A service was held in Modesto on March 30. A Memorial Service will be held in Tucson in June 2000. The time and date will be announced later.

BERRY LYLE, SR., 71, of Tucson, Arizona, died March 28, 2000. He was a sweet, wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. We will miss his great sense of humor, his laughter and his love of the Sonoran Desert and its wildlife. BILLY J. MONTAGUE, 68, of Tucson, AZ and Ohio, died March 26, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Eva Mae; one daughter, Margaret (Gregg) Roper of California; stepdaughter, Andrea (Tony) Finney of Tucson; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He retired from Hughes Aircraft in 1986 after 32+ years of service in the spot weld dept. The family appreciates the wonderful care provided by Hospice Family Care. PARKS, Helen Marie Edson, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at her home in Acworth, Georgia after a short illness. Mrs. Parks, formerly of Lakewood, Ohio, was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Eugene Edson and Florence Hall Edson of Lakewood, Ohio.
Mrs. Parks was born on November 14, 1910 in Buffalo, New York, and was graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1933, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Mrs. Parks had lived most of her life in Cleveland, working in real estate for over 30 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Edson Parks of Tucson, Arizona and J. Boyd Parks of Acworth and three grandchildren, Mrs. William (Maggi) Anglemire of Payson, AZ, Miss Suzanne Tinsley Parks and Mr. Jeffery Gordon Parks of Cartersville, GA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 in the evening on Friday, March 31, 2000 at the Parks' home at 4671 Collins Avenue, Acworth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the charity of choice or Boy Scouts of America, Troop 116 of Acworth, Georgia.

CHARLES AND MARIAN PROCTOR - passed away of heart and lung complications surrounded by the kind and loving care of Quiburi Mission Samaritan Center in Benson. Charles died suddenly on March 22, 2000 and Marian four days later on March 26, 2000. They were aware they were dying and their concern was preparing surviving children, Charles Jr., Roman and Jess for their death. Charles is also survived by brother, George Proctor and sisters, Margaret Redondo and Guadelupe Gualtieri. They were patriots who loved and supported individuals and American organizations like the National Rifle Association. Charles was a retired Air Force Officer, Religious Science Minister and rancher in the Madera Canyon area and then again in the Klondyke area. He was a husband, philosopher and writer. Marian retired from owning and operating a supermarket and ranching with Charles. She was a loving wife and support to others. A celebration of their lives will be held at Chato's on Proctor Road in the Madera Canyon area on Sunday, April 2, 2000 at 1:00 p.m.
FORD RASMESSEN - Ford Rasmessen born on November 25, 1913 in Tucson, AZ, died peacefully in his home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family on March 29, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Mary Jane Osgood Rasmessen and his sister, Betty R. Weiss. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Work Rasmessen; two daughters, Sally R. Radza (Bernard P.) and Mary Sigrid R. Critch (Robert A.); also by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two nieces. He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends.
While attending the University of Arizona he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and the Bob Cats. Ford was a life-long sports fan and played college and semi-pro baseball. (He could tell who was at bat by the batter's stance and the way he held his bat.)
He worked at R. Rasmessen Curio Store, founded by his father, Rudolph, a former mayor of Tucson and member of the University of Arizona Board of Regents. Ford was a member of Rotary and was a 33° Mason. Ford spent most of his career working for the Arizona State Compensation Fund and retired as Tucson District Manager.

THOMPSON, Janet Adams, passed away March 26, 2000 in Tucson, AZ after a two year battle with cancer. She was born October 6, 1928 in Milltown, N.J. to Clarence Luther Adams and Frances Margaret Allettsee. During her life she lived in New Jersey, Syracuse, NY, Greensboro, NC, and Tucson, AZ. Preceding her in death is her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Lee Thompson. She is survived by her brother, Clarence Ross Adams and his wife, Pearl; son, David Lee and his wife, Karen; daughter, Nancy Lee; her only grandchild, Emily Margaret, and her loving companion, Donald Creevy. HAMILTON, Oliver T. III, born May 19, 1924 in Indianapolis, died March 26, 2000, at home, in Tucson. He attended Tucson schools and was a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law, after serving in Europe with the 94th Division of Patton's 3rd Army. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta and the law honorary Phi Alpha Delta. He is survived by daughters, Tricia (John) Cox and Donna Judevine; and son, Ted Judevine, all living out of state; sisters, Frances Pattison of Tucson and Miriam (Robert G.) Boice of Globe, AZ. HARPER, Katherine (Katie) Davidson, 77 years, our precious mother, sister and grandmother, passed on to her eternal home with the Lord Thursday, March 30, 2000. She is survived by her son, Jerry Patrick Harper (Carole) of Tucson; her sister, Sue Donaldson of Tucson; her sister, Faye Keeten (Barnard) of Huntsville, AL; her sister-in-law, Mary Harper of Albertville, AL, as well as other Alabama family; her grandchildren, Patrick (Brittany), Paul (Rebecca), Jennifer (Mark) and John (Martelle), and four great grandchildren. Katie will always be in our memories for her vigor and enthusiasm. She was dedicated and well respected in her work life, from as early as the Stag Grill and the Old Pueblo Club (atop the Pioneer Hotel), to the latter years at the Skyline Country Club. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and has made a positive impact in our community for over 55 years. She will be missed greatly by many family and friends. Services will be held at South Lawn Mortuary, 5401 S. Park Avenue, (294-2603), Sunday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m.
