JEAN MARIE MONTES, 33, of Tucson, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2000. She was born on November 16, 1966. God sent to us a beautiful angel, 'Gina' Marie Montes. During her time on earth not only was she known for her beautiful smile, her love of life, but most of all the love of people. Gina had the gift to always look for the best in people and would always take the time to listen and talk to the very young and to the very old.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Reynaldo and Ozella Hoffman; and Bill Sr and Carmen Wright.
Gina is survived by her husband Michael Montes, Sr.; daughter, Monica Montes; son, Michael Montes, Jr.; parents, Bill and Edna Wright; brother, William Anthony Wright; nephew, William Edward Wright; niece, Crisann Wright. Daughter-in-law of Manuel and Yolanda Montes. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Gina attended Keen Elementary School, St. Ambrose Catholic School, graduated from Suffolk Hills Catholic High School, attended the University of Arizona and was employed by TUSD #1 as a Teacher Assistant at Drachman Primary Magnet Elementary. The love she had for the children will be carried on forever because Gina did make a difference in their lives.
A hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car she will have driven, what kind of house she lived in, or what kind of bank account she had, but what will matter is that she made a difference in a life of a child. How true this is because Gina did make a difference starting with her own set of twins; her niece & nephew, but most of all the children who were blessed to have known her at Drachman Primary Magnet School.
Many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who will always be reminded of Gina when they look up at night to see the brightest star shining and will know that is our little angel 'Gina' who is looking down and talking to all the other angels telling how special we are.
It is our time on earth to share and express our memories of this beautiful young woman, who will always be remem- bered by the love of children and who looked for the best in others and gave the best she had.
