ERICKSON, BYRON went to meet his Lord, on April 18, 2000. He was born December 24, 1920 in Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Erickson; children, Ellen Keeley, Kathy (Reed) Haakenson, Byron Erickson, Jr., Wendy (Gary) Binger, Clifford (Barbara) Erickson; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Walter (Lucilla) Erickson; two sisters, Fern Adams and Kathleen (Bill) Whitley; and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by one infant son, Paul Christian; and a 21-year-old granddaughter, Bonnie McRoy; sister, Irene (Ed); and his parents. Byron was in the Air Force 5 years during WWII. Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran church, 8845 N. Silverbell Rd. at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 24. Memorial's may be given to the church or school.

ZIESAT, SR., Harold A., Beloved father, grandfather, and husband, joined the Lord on April 18, 2000. Born on March 1, 1915 in West New York, New Jersey, and lived most of his life in New York. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1946, and worked as an agent for the U.S. Treasury Department, before moving to Tucson in 1970. A loyal UofA football fan, he never missed a home game in over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Florence; his sons, Harold, Jr., Clifford and Robert; and his grandchildren, Marie Claire and Christopher. DIAZ, Miguel T., 81, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away April 21, 2000. Survived by wife, Bertha D. Diaz; daughters, Irma (Manuel) Nuanez-Rodriguez; Mary (Frank Haro) Anaya and Alice (Arnold) McCormick; sons, George and Marcos Diaz; brothers, Jose S. and Rafael Diaz. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

KELLY, Raymond A., 73, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord, his best friend, on April 21, 2000. He was also a member of the choir and the church bowling league. Ray was also an active member of the Gideon Society. WEBER, Michael Joseph, 51, of Tucson, went to join his father on April 22, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Peter Weber, Jeremy Casey, Justin (Denise) Casey, Jenifer Casey and Brandon Uphaus, all of Tucson and Jeana Weber of Encinitas, CA; grandchildren, Tyler Casey and Jordan Casey; his mother, Dorothy J. Weber of Tucson; and sister, Chris (Robert) Blakestad of Denver, CO. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Anthony Weber on January 24, 1996. BICKERTON, Laura, 82, of Green Valley, died early Monday morning, April 24, 2000. Mrs. Bickerton was born in Hanna, AB, Canada, October 30, 1917. She graduated valedictorian from Crescent Heights High School, Calgary, AB in 1935. She married
Earl Bickerton December 16, 1944.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda. Survivors include her husband, three children, Larry (Mary) of Nelson, BC and Charlie (Susan) of Walnut Creek, CA, and Cheryl Boydston (Brad) of Turlock, CA; 12 grandchildren; and a sister, Angie East, Calgary.

CALLAWAY, Jewel Crawford, was born in 1906 in Hornsby, Tennessee to Albert and Sarah Crawford and died peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on April 20, 2000.
Jewel Crawford graduated first in her class from high school in Bolivar, Tennessee and held degrees in nursing from the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She married
E. Farris Callaway in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1938 and moved to Tucson in 1948. In Tucson, she was a member of the nursing staffs of the Veteran's Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and the Tucson Medical Center. She practiced private duty nursing in Tucson for many years before retiring in 1970.
She is survived by her three children, William H. (Kay) Callaway and Charles Edmund (Marie) Callaway, and Barbara Jean Callaway (Irwin) Pollack of Princeton, New Jersey; and grandchildren, Chad, Logan and Kendra of William Callaway and Stella, Teresa, Linda, Joseph and Tom of Charles Callaway. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, descendants of her late ten brothers and sisters.
She was a strong and independent woman, who delighted in riding the buses across Tucson and walking many miles each day in the desert. She loved the sunsets and the mountains, and for many years grew roses in her yard. For the last twelve years of her life, she lived in the Blossum Inn Adult Care Home in Tucson, where she delighted the staff with her strong will, great dignity, and gentle spirit. She was dearly loved and will be missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at Blossum Inn and Carondelet Hospice for their special care.

CASTANO, Richard Victor, 42, left on April 20, 2000 to be with the Father and the Son after a troubled and painful life. Genevieve A. CHIHAK, 77, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away April 16, 2000. preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Genevieve Cahill Chihak; sisters, Mary Elizabeth, Rosemary and Patricia Ann. Survived by brother, Francis (Mary) Chihak of Tucson, AZ; niece, Genevieve (Lee) Heath; nephews, Michael A. (Ellen), Donald P. (Pam), and Francis A. (Margaret) Chihak. Also survived by many cousins including John (Nancy) Donahue and Rosie Kahler who were especially helpful during her illness.
Genevieve was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. She was an insurance underwriter for many years with firms both in Dubuque & Tucson, AZ, retiring in 1987.
