JAMES A. CADWALLADER, III, 58, born November 20, 1941 in Salem, MA, passed away on May 10, 2000 in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Anita L. Cadwallader; children, Deborah Cadwallader Woosley, James A. Cadwallader, IV; grandchildren, Lauren and Tanner Woosley, Jensen Shoemaker; parents, James and Claire Cadwallader, Jr.; sister, Judy Zangrilli; mother and father-in-law, Ellsworth and Evelyn Hanson; brother-in-law, Ellsworth Hanson; sisters-in-law, Barbara Cole and Carole Carrell; aunt, Florence Weber; cousins, Hank Bowman and Jim Bowman; God-children, Craig Bowman, Jim Zangrilli, Noelle DeVita and Maile Cole. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Univ. of AZ in 1963 and earned a Clinical Engineering degree from Tucson Medical Center where he worked from 1963 to 1995 as the director of Medical Electronics. He was a member of the Tanque Verde Lutheran Church. Jim left many, many family and friends behind that loved him very much. We will all miss him and will see him again someday. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. in the Tanque Verde Lutheran Church. NAOMI COPELAND, 50, of Marana, AZ, born August 10, 1949, passed away May 9, 2000. Born in Mound Bayou, MS, to Gus Bell Jr. and Sadie Stevens-Bell. Naomi married
Clement O. Copeland on April 2, 1971. She was very loving, caring and devoted to her family and friends and opened her heart and home to everyone. Naomi was employed at DCMAO-Phoenix as a contract management assistant. In June 1997 she received a promotion to Contract Specialist and relocated to Tucson, AZ – Raytheon Corporation.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Clement O. Copeland; children, Lee M. Copeland of Phoenix, Aretha Diane Gentry (Daren) Oklahoma City, OK, Clement O. Copeland II, Marana, AZ; grandchild, Keoni Marie Gentry Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Sadie Verse; father-in-law, Rev. Zollie Zell Copeland, Sr.; 27 brothers and sisters, with numerous nieces and nephews; a very special niece, Mary Wiley of Peoria, AZ.

PHOEBE IRENE FINLEY PACK - Born February 2, 1907 in Portland and died peacefully in her sleep May 9, 2000 in Tucson. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur N. Pack and her daughters, Eleanor P. Liddell, Phoebe Pack; and grandsons, Andrew Liddell and Thomas Liddell.
She was a founding provider of Carondelet Foundation, a co-founder with her husband of the Espanola Hospital, a cofounder with her husband and the late William Carr of the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum as well as the Ghost Ranch Museum, a Trustee of St. Mary's 2nd Century Foundation, life member of the Auxiliary of St. Joseph/St. Mary's Hospital, a trustee of the Mount Vernon's Ladies Association and was long active in community mental health issues.
Where she saw hurt she sought to soothe and where she saw need she sought to fulfill.
Survived by sons, Vernon Pack of Ohio, Charles Pack (Kim) of California; and daughter, Margaret McKinley (Henry) of New Mexico; grandchildren, Mark Bahti (Dolores), Kurt Bahti (Karen) and Tani Bahti, all of Arizona, Catherine Dertouzos (Michael) of Massachusetts, Margaret Liddell of Connecticut, Susan Rykken (Edward) of Maine, and granddaughter-in-law, Nancy Liddell of Connecticut; great-grandchildren, Kim Bahti, Yuri Bahti (Jill), Ben Bahti (Lisa), Heather Bahti, Eric Gaines, Justin Gaines, Todd Gaines, Matthew Liddell and James Liddell; and great-great-granddaughter, Julia Ty Bahti.
She is also survived by many whose lives she touched, and by many dear friends. Among them the family wishes to extend special thanks and acknowledgment to longtime friend, Julie McGaw who was by her side at the time of her passing.
While she requested no memorial services, her memory can be honored through donations to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Carondelet Hospice Care or by simply volunteering some of your time to help another.

GOMEZ, Raul Rivera, 83, died May 10, 2000. Father of Tina (Jay) Bell, Pam Gomez, and Dr. Rick R. (Karen) Gomez; grandfather of Steve and Kym; brother of Romelia Gomez, Delia Flores and Artemisa Hughes. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge #2532 and a retired teacher and coach from TUSD. Raul was preceded in death by his sister, Hilda Levesque.
GOMEZ, Ruth F., 82, died May 11, 2000. In addition to being survived by their children and grandchildren, she is survived by her niece, Mary Ann Gagnepain. She was preceded in death by her husband Raul, whom she so lovingly cared for in the last year of his life. Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Caudill.

Ryan Mark McCray - Age 17, died in Tucson, Arizona in the early hours of Wednesday, May 10, 2000 in a tragic auto accident. Born in Tucson on March 11, 1983. He is survived by his parents Dale and Jeanette; his sister, Laurel; his maternal grandmothers, Phyllis Conover of Homestead, Florida, and Betty McCray of Walsenburg, Colorado. Also survived by his aunts and uncles, Michael and Denise Conover of North Logan, Utah, and David and Margaret Conover of Long Island, New York; and cousins, Matthew, Heather, Holly and Kayla of Utah, Adam and Emily of New York, Vincent Vaughn of Wyoming and Jessie Conaway of Colorado. preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert A. Conover and Elbert McCray.
Ryan was the quintessential high school junior, playing on the varsity football and volleyball teams, and the JV soccer team, and the Jacobs Park Lobos soccer team. He was a scholar-athlete, a member of the National Honor Society, volunteered at University Medical Center and Habitat for Humanity, and was active in his church. He participated in everything he possibly could, including holding down an after-school job. He will be remembered for his big heart, his kind, gentle nature, his caring for others, and his devotion to his sister, Laurel. He had so many plans for the future.
A service celebrating Ryan's life will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 5:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University Blvd (corner of 4th Ave and University). Please bring a dish to share and join us after the service in sharing a meal. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be sent to Amphitheater High School, Ryan McCray fund, 125 W. Yavapai, Tucson, AZ 85705. Many, many thanks to our family and friends and especially the friends of Ryan and Laurel, who have done so much to support us in the last few days.
