GEORGE C. BOUKYDIS of Tucson, AZ, 89, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000. Survived by beloved wife, Anne; daughter, Irene (Bill) Pothitos of Montreal Canada and granddaughter, Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Irene; father, Charles and brothers, Constantine and Charles. George was a restaurateur with Diana Sweets in Toronto Canada. George, we and all your friends will remember you for your smile, sense of humor and loving heart. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1145 East Ft. CAMPBELL, Shirley A., 73, passed away May 22, 2000. Beloved wife of George Campbell, also survived by her mother, Eleanor Harrington; son, Kevin of Page, AZ; daughters, Toni (Robin) Payne-Donka and Randee McAbee; and grandson, James Carrick all of Tucson; and sisters, Naoma Joslyn and Norma Ryan of Troy, MI. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26 at HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 22nd & Swan. Remembrances may be made to Carondelet Hospice.

FAIRCHILD, Lyle, 85, of Tucson, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000. He is survived by his son-in-law, Jay Cortes; grandson, Lane Cortes; great-granddaughter, Sophia Cortes; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd. on Sunday, May 28, 2000 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m .

LESNIAK, William Lyle, 48, died May 23, 2000. Survived by his wife, Laura; children, Stephanie, Clifford and Jaqueline; brothers, Ronald, James, Daniel; sisters, Sandra Curry, Judith Burleson, Theresa Kabacki and Deborah Nelson. preceded in death by brother, John. Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2000 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

MAUCH, Grant Eugene, 68, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away May 20, 2000. He was born February 17, 1932 to Erwin H. and Lillian Mauch here in Tucson, Arizona. He is survived by three sisters, Gretchen L. Eveland, Eleanor M. Candland and Patricia E. Mueller; eight nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; a special friend, Camilla Browne. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 27, 2000 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., with a Graveside Service to follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m. at South Lawn cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association, 5325 E. MINER, Leslie Ann, 42, died May 23, 2000 of acute renal failure at Tucson Medical Center. She is survived by her father, Carl D. Miner of Las Vegas, NV; mother, Valerie G. Miner of Sierra Vista, AZ; and brother, Mark W. Miner of Orem, Utah. A devout member of the LDS Church, she lived in Tucson since 1971, was a cosmetologist by profession and attained an AA degree from Pima Community College. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2000 at the LDS Tucson West Stake Center, 3530 W. Magee Road with a visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial in Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, Leslie requested contributions in her name be made to the Arizona Kidney Foundation. Arrangements by BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

RUBEN, Peggy of Sun City, passed away May 14, 2000. Loving mother of Ellen and mother-in-law of Jan. Devoted grandmother of Neil and Troy. Peggy will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

SPAULDING, Melva H., 85, of Tucson, passed away on May 23, 2000. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Harry; two sons, Phil (Nancy), Larry (Kathy), both of Tempe; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lee-Ann, Laura, Jason, Wendy; and one great-grandson, Anthony. Melva was active in Daughters of the Nile and Sabbar Band Aids. She was a member of Catalina United Methodist Church for over 40 years, being involved in Homebuilders Sunday School Class. A memorial service will be held at Catalina United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 27, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catalina United Methodist Church or Shrines Children Hospital. SWEARINGEN, Paul K., 78, of Tucson, died May 25, 2000. Husband of Fay Atwell Swearingen of Tucson; father of Kenneth E. Swearingen, Helen P. Hess, Danny V. Swearingen, William F. Swearingen and Paula K. Pitz. Military Chapel Service Saturday, May 27, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplain Harry Wineinger officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service time at ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st Ave. (888-1111). Burial in Marticville, PA.

ACEDO VDA DE IRVING, Jesusita Our Mother, Mama Chuy, was a caring and loving person. She was a mother to all of us because she made no exception in giving of her Loving Spirit. She worked hard all her life, brought us much joy and happiness. We are assured she rests in God's loving arms and someday we will see her again.
She joined our Lord on May 22, 2000. Born on November 16, 1901 in Bacubirito, Sin. Mexico. preceded in death by her husband, Richard John Irving; daughter, Ruth I. Peterson; and two sons, Jesus and Raymundo Cuevas. She lived in Arizona since 1935. She is survived by six daughters, Lupe Romero, Rosario Felix, Elisa Robbins, Roberta Schweich, Olga I. Montejano (Henry G. Montejano), Virginia Corella (Herbert Spratt); 58 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Rosary Sunday, May 28 at ADAIR CARROON MORTUARY in Nogales at 7:00 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart, Monday, May 29 at 9:00 a.m. with interment at Nogales City cemetery.

DEVITT, Michael, born January 12, 1941, formerly of Devitt's Camp, Allenwood, PA, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, AZ. He had been in failing health for several years. He was the son of the late Dr. William Devitt and Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Krauser Devitt. His late grandfather was the founder of Devitt's Camp. Mr. Devitt graduated from Ft. Meyers Senior High School, FL, and the University of Florida. He was retired from the Pima County Dept. of Environmental Quality. Surviving are his former wives, Christa Devitt, Ruth Ofstie Paulding; brothers, Bill, Steve, Jack; sons, Michael Brendan Devitt, Mathew Alan Devitt, Stefan Andre Devitt; and grandson, Will Devitt. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who tried to help him through the tough times and help keep his hope alive. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.

RICHARD JAMES FLANAGAN, 72, passed away on May 19, 2000. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Colleen and Pat of Phoenix, AZ; son, Mike (Linda); loving grandchildren, Casey and Michelle all of Tucson; sister, Connie Kelly of Willowick, OH; and many other friends and family members.
In 1976, Richard moved his family from Euclid, OH to Tucson. He owned Jim's Cleaning Service in Tucson until he retired several years ago. He suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis for the last 20 years but he never let it dampen his spirit. He was a tough-minded, independent man who possessed a quick wit and was the master of practical jokes. His passing has left a huge void in our lives, but we are all happy that his pain has ended.
Richard requested that no funeral services be held and that everyone remember the good times and the laughs they shared with him. Donations in Richard's memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 616 N. Country Club, Tucson, AZ 85716.

RAYMOND PATRICK FORD, SR. - passed away May 24, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Kristin; son, Justin; and in-laws Jim and Maxine Ijams. He is also survived by four sons from a previous marriage, Andre, Juan, Junior and Reggie; as well as several grandchildren. Additional survivors are siblings, Horace, Pearl, Elma, and Auburn. Raymond was a dedicated employee of the Pima County Sheriff's Department for 17 years, as well as volunteering many years of community service to the F.O.P., and the Victim Witness Compensation Board. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the East Lawn Mortuary located at 5801 E. Grant Road. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. June 1, 2000 at the L.D.S. Chapel located at 3530 W. Magee. Burial will be held at the East Lawn cemetery. Reception to follow at the F.O.P. Lodge at 1:00 p.m. at 3544 N. Dodge.

MCKEE, Alberta, 79, died May 24, 2000. Mother of Katharine McKee, Susan Preble, Robert Schoembeck and Russell G. Schoembeck. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Service 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 28, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with Pastor Glen Foster officiating.

PALMER, Clyde H., Age 72, passed away peacefully May 20, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; and children, Clyde, Kevin, John and (Jackie) Jacquelyn; and one granddaughter, Margaret. Clyde was an elevator constructor in Tucson for more than 30 years, and he had been a veteran of the Army-Merchant Marine and National Guard. Any donations in his name made to Casa De Los Ninos would be appreciated. Private services were held.

WONG, Pearl, 81, of Phoenix, died May 25, 2000. Beloved wife of the late Willie Wong. Devoted mother of Myron (Shirley) Wong, Roland (Jacquelyn) Wong and Eileen Wong; dear sister of Daniel (Lilly) Huey; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Peterson, Richard Wong, and Patricia Hansen; great-grandmother of Lauren and Matthew Wong and Anne-elyse Peterson. Mrs. Wong was a member of the Phoenix Senior Citizens organization. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Pastor Wayne North officiating. MARK STEVEN BLANC
May 28, 1948 – May 24, 2000
passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 after a brief illness. He was a driver for Sun Tran, a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, an outdoorsman and a 'Catcherman'. Making people laugh made him happy. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Dawn (John) Daniel, Jason Price; parents, Leland and Betty Blanc; brother, Mick (Lori) Blanc; sister, Tracey (Kevin) Blanc-Whitaker; grandchildren, Jeff, Nikolai, and Zachory Daniel; and many other relatives and close friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at HEATHER MORTUARY CHAPEL, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Reid Park Zoo, 1100 S. ALEJANDRO E. CORRALES, 19, of Tucson, passed away on May 21, 2000. He is survived by his parents, Frederick Corrales and Susan Lemmond; stepfather, Chris Lemmond; his fiance, April Duarte; two daughters, Desiree and Alexcia Corrales; one brother, Johnny Corrales; two sisters, Melissa Duarte and Melinda Corrales; grandmother, Nellie Perez; and many other loving family members and friends. ASHLEY ANNE (A.J.) CROWELL - Born August 7, 1980 in Tucson, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2000 in Phoenix. Survived by mother, Cynthia (Richard) Snyder of Tucson; father, James (Linda) Crowell of Stanaford, WV; sisters, Cynthia (Jason) Landolfi of Columbus, OH, and Stephanie Crowell of Tucson; brother, James Lee Reffitt of Centerville, OH; grandparents, Anne (Dave) Miller-Elliott of Murrieta, CA; John Miller of Tucson; Violet Crowell of Beckley, WV; Charles (Marge) Boxley of Goodrich, TX; great-grandparents, Katherine Boxley of Goodrich and Eleanor Jackson of Tucson; one niece; and two nephews; numerous aunts and uncles; boyfriend, Greg Lannie of Tucson. Ashley attended Tucson High and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High in Beckley, WV. She was pursuing a career in law enforcement and attending Pima College. She worked at the Solar Store and Bennigans. Memorial service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30 at St. Matthew Episcopal Church, 9071 E. Old Spanish Trail, with the Rev. Margaret Babcock officiating. DALRYMPLE, Philip C., 87, of Tucson, passed away on March 25, 2000. He was born on May 13, 1913 in Toulon, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ireta; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sons, Larry and Thomas Dalrymple; two daughters, Joyce Green and Debra Barnes; one brother, Robert Dalrymple; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. He was the proprietor of Tucson Dog Food Co. for 33 years and had a passion for farming. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, family man and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. A Funeral Service has been planned for Tuesday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery.
