SCHREIBER, Ralph R., Jr., 53, passed away June 13, 2000. Survived by his loving wife, Lenore; mother, Josephine Toth; father, Ralph R. Schreiber, Sr; children, Jennifer (Buggy) Williams, Ralph R. (Elicia) Schreiber, III, Mitchell (Celena) Schreiber. Ralph was also known as Grandpa and Popa by Ashley, Blake, Ralph IV, Mathew, Tyler and Austin. Ralph will be missed by an an abundance of close family and friends. Among Ralph's life accomplishments are his family, Tucson Fire Department Retiree after 30 years of service, Vietnam Veteran, craftsman, coach, outdoorsman and genealogist. STANLEY DARE CAMMACK, JR., 73, of Tucson, passed away on June 14, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Steven and Ginny; grandchildren, Luke, Emily, Rebecca, Steven, Stacey and Katherine; one sister, Virginia of Indiana, plus many other loving friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by Magic, his big black dog. Stanley owned Tucson Marble and Granite since 1963. When a customer asked for Stanley it usually was not by name but 'where is the big man with the black dog?' Funeral service will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Manny P. Carrillo, age 67, of Tucson, a loving father and grandfather entered into rest Wednesday, June 14, 2000. During his life he spent time as a U.S. Army Paratrooper and later as owner and operator of Carrillo Tile INC. During this time he was an active sponsor of sports teams in the Tucson area. Manny was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his children: Amanda (Matt) Olsen of Fountain Hills, AZ, Manny 'Gordo' (Tammy) Carrillo Jr. of Divide, CO, and Bernadette Cesare of Scottsdale, AZ, and their Loving mother, Barbara Carrillo Willis; grandchildren, Michael Cesare, Matthew, Felipa, Justin and Desirea Olsen, Carmen Carrillo, and many other relatives and friends. CURRY, Jean, age 74, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on June 9, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Ada Curry of Tucson, Arizona and her sons, George Curry of Columbus, Ohio and Lindsey Curry of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and 10 grandchildren.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Saguaro Christian Church, 8302 East Broadway Blvd., Tucson, Arizona.

FIMBRES, Manuel, age 52, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000. He is survived by one daughter, Karina A. Fimbres of Tucson; his father, Manuel A. Fimbres of Bowie, AZ; four brothers, Armando (Janet) Fimbres of Phoenix; Sergio (Debbie) Fimbres of Kingman, AZ; Oscar (Danni) Fimbres of Ft. Worth, TX; and Hector (Leonora) Fimbres of Lake Havasu City, AZ; one sister, Normalisa (Rosalio) Fuentes of Phoenix; and by 12 nieces and nephews. Mr. Fimbres was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Artemisa Fimbres who died in 1997. A visitation will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. HOWARD PHILLIP FRANKS, passed away on June 15, 2000 at the age of 67. Howard is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; sons, Michael (Deborah), Jeffrey (Nancy), and Thomas (Jennifer); daughter, Robin Odell (Dean); grandchildren, Carissa, Jason and Taylor Franks, and Olivia and Jacqueline Grace Odell; aunt, Blanche Novak; and cousins, Joseph Novak, Sandra Bish, Duane, Lane, Lee, and Charles Sharman.
Howard was born in Chicago to Mildred and Edwin Franks. He graduated from and played basketball for Iowa State University, with a degree in Landscape Architecture, and later served as a lieutenant and pilot in the United States Air Force.
He and his wife, Jacqueline, moved to Tucson in 1957, where he was first employed by John Harlow, Sr. as a landscape designer. He subsequently worked with landscape architect Guy Green and participated in the initial master land planning for Green Valley with Maxon, Smith and Mackey Architects. Later, he worked with Blanton and Cole Architects and Engineers on numerous highway beautification projects.
In 1968, Howard, a very gifted designer, and his partner, Bart Marshall, established La Quinta Homes. He designed and built custom residences, primarily in the Catalina foothills, for more than 30 years.
Howard was a very fair, kind and gentle man. He was blessed by God and is now in a special place in Heaven. He was also blessed with a very special family and friends, who will remember his loving nature, his integrity and courage, forever. He will be greatly missed but his spirit will shine on all of us every day.
A memorial service will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1949 E. Helen St., on Tuesday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church for their mission programs.

RODRIGUEZ, Juanita M., passed away June 15, 2000. Born May 12, 1909 in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico to Justo and Refugio Montoya. After her mothers death, she was raised by Roman and Luz Duran in Duquesne, AZ and Tucson, AZ. After attending Safford Elementary and Junior High Schools, she graduated from cosmetology school and worked at that profession for many years. She lovingly cared for her ill mother and aging father until their deaths. She taught Catechism at Santa Cruz Catholic Church for 30 years and worked at the Salpointe Catholic High School cafeteria from 1963-67. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 56 years, Francisco (Pancho 'El Gordito') Rodriguez. Also survived by son, Xavier (Maggie); daughter, Refugio (Ruth 'Cookie'); grandchildren, Ana Cristal and Jose 'Joey'; sisters, Elena Alarcon and Rosario Monreal; brothers, Gilberto Montoya and Francisco Duran. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends whose lives she touched. Special thanks to close family friend, Grace Valenzuela, caregiver, Alma Gutierrez and the TMC Hospice staff for their help and kindness.

MARY ALICE TRIMARCO, age 74, of Tucson, formerly of Berwyn, IL, passed away June 15, 2000. BACIL B. WARREN, Bacil Benjamin Warren, Arizona native, writer, historian and videographer, passed away June 13, 2000 after a short illness. He was 84.
'BB' was born October 21, 1915 in Leupp, Arizona. His father, Bacil Augustine Warren, was a doctor for the US Indian Health Service. His mother, Adell Norman Warren, was a nurse and pharmacist.
The family moved to Tucson after World War I. Bacil attended Roskruge Junior High and graduated from Tucson High School. He graduated from the University of Arizona, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1938.
He worked at KVOA radio station as a writer and announcer, and for the US Government as a background investigator of people seeking government jobs. His government service changed to public information, at the US Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C.
In retirement, Bacil founded a travel magazine and Aileen Griffin Press, publishers of books of poetry, audio and video tapes and sheet music. He was a long-time member of the National Press Club in the nation's capital, and attended an Owl's Club dinner there May 12, 2000. He was also a member of The Westerners, and a life-long Arizona Wildcat fan.
Bacil was the author of several books, including American Youth Hostel's First Fifty Years: Young at Any Age, and Ernie, the Fast Horse (for children); numerous freelance articles in magazines and newspapers (including the Arizona Daily Star, the Miami Herald and the Chicago Tribune) and numerous video productions of travel destinations and church activities. He also worked as a volunteer transcriber of oral-history recordings collected by the Arizona Historical Society.
Bacil was a member of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church for over fifty years, where he sang tenor in the choir and served as a deacon. He produced the video for the church's 50th Anniversary in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annelle Griffin Warren (1911-1990). They were married
in 1938. He is survived by his children, Jannelle Warren-Findley, Ph.D., of Tempe, Arizona, and Bacil Christopher Warren and his wife Gail of Tucson. Paul K. Conn of Tucson was a close nephew. Grandchildren include Benjamin James Findley of Tempe, Bacil Donovan Warren of Tucson and Edward Griffin Warren of Lawrence, Kansas.
A memorial service is planned Tuesday, June 20, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. 3rd Street. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to the Arizona Historical Society or the Arizona Theatre Company.

ELSIE GERSON BERKMAN, Born October 1, 1914, passed away on June 16, 2000. Elsie is survived by her husband, 'Itch' of Oro Valley, AZ; four children, Paula Miller of Davis, CA, Phyllis (Mike) Genel of Woodbridge, CT, Helen (Alan) Vinick of St. Davids, PA and David (Judy) Berkman of Oro Valley, AZ. Also survived by 12 loving grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Elsie moved from Connecticut to Tucson in 1972 and quickly immersed herself in her new community. She became an active patron of the Arts including The Arizona Theater Company, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera, Ballet Arizona and The Invisible Theater. She found a second home with friends at the Metro Fitness Center and kept herself in excellent physical condition, so as to hike and share the Arizona Desert with her family and friends.
For many years, Elsie worked as a Reading Aide in the Tucson Elementary Schools and enjoyed teaching English as a second language to International adult students. More recently, Elsie loved her 'job' volunteering at the Northwest Hospital, which is no surprise to anyone who knew her; the gift of giving brought her great pleasure.
We celebrate her life with much joy and admiration…..and above all, love.

BOLINGER, Harry Albert, Jr., 90, died June 18, 2000. Father of Marinel J. Poppie, DVM. He was a Captain in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Bolinger was a practicing attorney in Bozeman, Montana for 63 years. Services and burial will be in Bozeman, Montana.
