MASTIN, Harold Peter 91, passed away on June 24, in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dolly (Margaret) Obermayer Mastin; his daughter, Bonnie Mastin Crawford (Hal); and grandsons Todd M. Crawford and Scott B. Crawford, all of Tucson. Harold lived in Chicago until moving to Florida for his retirement in 1971. They moved to Tucson in 1989 to be nearer to their daughter and family. GEORGE D. PICKEREL, 82, passed away June 22, 2000. He retired to Surprise, AZ. He had served the citizens of Pinal County for over 30 years. He had been a Deputy Sheriff from 1948-1958, and constable from 1954-1958. He was Justice of the Peace in Casa Grande from 1959-1976. He was adult Probation Officer from 1976-1979. He was a loving husband for over 30 years to Floy Lee Pickerel, and then to Betty Lou Pickerel. Both preceded him in death. He was a loving father, and is survived by his step-son, Clyde W. McNeil of San Jose, CA and his children Justin and Kendra McNeil; step-daughter, Jo Lynn McNeil of Tucson and her children Todd and Erin Arena; brothers, Robert W. Pickerel and Earl V. Pickerel, both of LA. He was Exalted Ruler of the Casa Grande Elks from 1963-1964, President of the Arizona Elks from 1971-1972, an Grand Tyler from 1980-1981. He was a fair and honest judge. He loved to hunt and fly fish. He told more jokes than any man I've known. A memorial will be held in his memory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2000 at the Casa Grande Elks Lodge. Please bring a story or joke for his memory book. George will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
SCHMID, Arthur F. died June 26, 2000 after a brief illness. He was born August 23, 1909 and lived in Patterson, NY most of his life. He worked at General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY until he retired in 1969. He also spent much spare time working for his favorite place, Sacandaga Bible Conference, Broadalbin, NY. He was involved there for over 50 years. He resided in Tucson for the past 10 years. Survived by his son, Arthur L. Schmid of Tucson; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He is loved and respected by all who knew him. Funeral service 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2000 at Cortaro Vista Community Church, 8600 N. Camino de Oeste with Pastor Ted VanDeBerg officiating. There will be a graveside service at Woestina cemetery, Pattersonville, NY on July 22, 2000. Harry E. Spaulding, 82, of Tucson, passed away on June 20, 2000. Survivors include his two sons, Phil (Nancy), Larry (Kathy), both of Tempe; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lee-Ann, Laura, Jason, Wendy; and one great-grandson, Anthony. Harry was active in Masons, Scottish Rite, and the Sabbar Band. He was chairman of the board of Pima County Federal Credit Union. Harry taught in the Science Department at Flowing Wells High School for 25 years. He was a member of Catalina United Methodist Church for over 40 years, being involved in Homebuilders Sunday School Class. A memorial service will be held at Catalina United Methodist Church, on Friday, June 30, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Evergreen cemetery. Donald Joe Cheadle, Sr. and raised a family of Donald Joe Cheadle, Jr. and Monica Michelle Cheadle.

Staff Sergeant Wilbert Duncan Booker, Jr. in 1974. Of this union, she added to her family Shayla Tameka Booker.
When you think of Thelma, you think of a considerate, compassionate and caregiving individual. She was always a joy to be around. She was an inspiration to all persons she came in contact with. She was always willing to walk that extra yard or work that extra minute to make things right, even in extreme pain. A loving mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and grandmother. Beloved memories of Thelma will live on with family and friends.

BROWN II, Jonathan 'JJ', 25, was born on April 24, 1975 in Williamsport, PA. He died on June 23, 2000. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. He leaves to mourn his passing: his mother, Anita Smith-Etheridge; sister, Tinika Brown; niece, Imani Brown; grandfather, Carl L. Smith, Sr.; daughter, Breanna Brown; son, Jonathan Brown III; and his devoted fiance, Jamie Machado, who stood by him to the end; also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is survived by his father Jonathan Brown, Sr. of CA; great-grandmother Margarite Jordon of Berwyn, PA; grandfather Joe Brown of Williamsport, PA. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Elizabeth Smith. His display of courage and faith, along with his wonderful smile will be greatly missed by all who loved him. MALISEWSKI, Steven C., 47, passed away June 26, 2000 of heart failure. preceded in death by his father, Josef Malisewski; his father-in-law Dick Clark; and his sister-in-law Kathy Malisewski.
Survived by his family, loving wife Kathleen of 14 years; children, Clark Josef and Kristen Joy, twins age 7; mother, Dorothy Malisewski; and mother-in-law Ann M. Clark; brothers and sisters, Cathy DeLaO (Jim Lane), Joanne (David) Del Castillo, Joseph (Kim) Malisewski, Michael (Patty) Malisewski, Thomas (Suzi) Malisewski and Beth (Rob) Reniewicki; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Carol) Clark, Greg (Marsha) Clark; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Steve graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School and the University of Arizona. He was employed by MicroAge Computer stores for 10 years during which time he was Vice President of Marketing. He held a number of executive positions with Compaq Computer Corporation in Houston, Texas during his 12 years of employment. At the time of his retirement he was Senior Director of Marketing. Steve had reached his goal of retiring from the corporate world at age 45.
Since his retirement he had become a successful investor, consultant, and confidant to several growing businesses in the Houston area.
Steve had a star quality that touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with. His integrity, loyalty, and generosity were among his many attributes admired by all those who knew him. He developed a great love and became quite accomplished at the game of golf.
Loved so much by his wife and children, and all who knew him, he will be sorely missed.
