D'AMBRA, Josephine 'Jo', 80, of Tucson. Born October 4, 1919 in Queens, N.Y. Jo suffered a major stroke on May 28. She passed away on July 16, 2000. She and her husband moved to Tucson in 1974. She is survived by her husband, Leonard; daughter, Joyce (Angelo) Pisciotta; and son, Joseph (Jan) D'Ambra. She has eight grandchildren, Victor, Perry, Paul, Michael, Joseph, Joy, Angela, and Laura. 18 great-grandchildren include: Jessica, Mike, Krisopher, Adam, Nicholas, Phillip, Matthew, Andrew, Anthony, Michaela, Eric, Alicia and Chelsea of Tucson, Valerie, Tony, Richard, Nicholas and Alexander of Phoenix. She is also survived by five sisters, Felicia, Ann, Frances, Rose and Ida. Jo loved being around people, especially her family and friends. She was a fun-loving and happy person. Her laughter will be missed by everyone who loved her. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. (@ Magee) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2000, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2000. Interment will follow at Holy Hope cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 1802 W. St. Mary's Road.

RAYMOND LYNDLE DALTON, 77, of Tucson, passed away on July 16, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; one daughter, Dana (Dennis) Preston; three sons, Raymond Jr. (Linda), William (Debbie), Michael (Rose); five grandchildren, Susan (Shay) Fleming, Jennifer (Mike) Standridge, Ray III, Adam, Harry; one great grandson, James Standridge; and many other loving family members and friends. He was retired from San Xavier Rock and Materials. He has been recognized for his many years of dedication and contributions to the company and to the construction industry as well. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery.

SUZANNE B. EGOLF, 61, of SaddleBrooke, died July 14, 2000 of an accidental drowning. 'Suzie' was born on December 10, 1938 in Westchester County, NY, and graduated from Harrison High School and Northwestern University. After living most of her adult life in San Rafael, CA and working in the advertising business, she and her husband, James R. Egolf, moved to SaddleBrooke in 1996. Suzie was an active member of the SaddleBrooke Swim Team and participated in the 1999 Senior Olympic Games in Orlando, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie Bragg, originally from Worcester, MA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Lisa L. Kraas of Dallas, TX; son, Kevin Kraas of Broward County, FL; brothers, William (Spike) Bragg of Long Beach, CA and Morgan (Mike) Bragg of Blairsville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Abbie Egolf of SaddleBrooke; nieces and nephew Laurie Bragg-Webb, Karen Bragg-Parrish, Casey Bragg and John Bragg; as well as her beloved dachshund, Mitzi. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association, Southern Arizona Chapter, 5132 E. LOPEZ, Armando F. (Bo) Jr. 63, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away July 15, 2000. preceded in death by father, Armando Lopez, Sr. Survived by wife, Marriane (BeeBee) Lopez; mother, Adeline Lopez; daughter, JoAnna M. (Lionel) Duarte; goddaughter, Monica Denise (Charles) Siegrist; brother, Jim Lopez; grandchildren, Alexis Martinez and Angelica Duarte; niece, Jade Rebekah Siegrist; nephews, Ryan Alex Siegrist and Austyn James Siegrist; also survived by numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. After graveside service there will be a gathering to celebrate his new life at the Marine Corps. League on 29th and 5th. Arrangements by CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

Terrance J. 'Terry' McCarthy, 63, died quietly at his home on Friday, July 14, 2000, surrounded by loving family and friends. He was a devoted family man and faithful friend. Terry is survived by his wife, Sue; his mother, Beatrice McCarthy Kellen; his sister, Bobby McCray; his brother, Fred McCarthy (Ann); eight children, Mac McCarthy (Donna), Mitch McCarthy (Debbie), Paige Fish (Weston), Connie Stettner (Jon), Coby Dunbar (Keith), Joni Friedman (Ron), Rusty Knight (Kathy) and Scott Knight; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Terry was born in Manchester, Connecticut on November 3, 1936 to Frederick A. McCarthy and Beatrice A. Leduc McCarthy. The family moved to Tucson in 1947. After graduating from Tucson High School, Terry worked in construction before beginning a very successful 34-year career at Hughes Aircraft Company. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists. Terry 'worked his way up the ladder' at Hughes as a manufacturing engineer until retirement in December, 1989, as operations manager.
Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2000 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grand Road, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Buddy Mizelle. Also a funeral service 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 20 with Father John Alt officiating at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.

PASVOGEL, Eleanor (Tobin), 86, of Tucson, passed away July 15, 2000. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Myron W. Pasvogel and son, Richard. Eleanor is survived by her son, David of Bangor, Maine; and her daughter, Alice of Tucson. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. just South of Speedway on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2000 in the Mausoleum at Holy Hope cemetery.

SCHLECTER, Rose W., 92, passed away July 15, 2000.
Survivors include son, Larry Schlecter (Sondra) of Tucson; sister, Ruth Boro of Maryland; brother, Jerome Weinstein of Baltimore; two grandchildren, Janet Stemmer (Jason) and Mark Schlecter (Elizabeth) of Tucson; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
'Good Friends, good times and a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now.'

SMITH, Happy Irene, 81, of Tucson, died July 16, 2000. Born July 10, 1919 in Coffeyville, KS. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Tucson. Survived by husband, Donovan E. Smith; daughter, Nancy Davis of Payson, AZ; son, D. Robert Smith of Chama, NM; brothers, Leon Camp of Phoenix, AZ., Isaac Camp of Chico, CA; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. No services were held. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery.

THOMPSON, William B. 78, head groundskeeper for University Hospital for 27 years, died Sunday, July 16, 2000.
Loving husband of Carmen; and loving father of RoseMary Jones (Robert), Patty Cheselka (Chuck), Suzanna Varela (Tony), Steven (Ofelia), and Michael (son). He is survived by ten grandchildren, Denise, Bobby, Chris, Tony Jr., William, Sandra, Vanessa, Michael and Bryon; one great grandchild Dominic; sisters, Johanna Equrrola and Lupe Eckstrom; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by Peter Thompson (father), Guadalupe Thompson (mother), Peter Thompson Jr. (brother).
He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of PFC. He earned the Silver Star and the Purple Heart.
Visitation will be held at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPEL, on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church. Burial will be in South Lawn cemetery.

MAXINE C. AULT passed away on July 15, 2000, at the age of 59. She is preceded in death by her father, Clark Curtis. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Gerry; daughter, Wendy Green (Paul); daughter Debby Frazell (Chad); mother, Fern Curtis; sister, Kathleen Holmes (Ted); brother, Bill Curtis (Cheryl); and granddaughter, Kayla Green.
A family memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 18 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arizona Cancer Center, 1515 North Campbell Avenue, Room 1978, P.O. Box 245013, Tucson, AZ 85724.

SUZANNE M. BARNES (NEE BEST), 66, of Tucson, AZ went to be with the Lord June 30, 2000. Sue was born on January 21st, 1934 in Altoona, PA. preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Best. Sue graduated from Deaconess Hospital in Buffalo, NY, 1956. She was a nurse at Providence Hospital in El Paso, TX and Flagstaff, AZ. Sue and Ben met in El Paso and were married in Las Cruces, NM, June 15, 1956. Survived by her husband, Ben Barnes; daughters, Deborah (Michael) Harvey and Kimberly Barnes; grandson, Michael Harvey; also numerous other relatives. After her first child was born she excelled at being a wife and mother and gave love and joy to everyone who knew her. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., July 22, 2000 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Sue requested everyone wear casual clothes.

BREES, Edwin E., 68, died July 17, 2000. Father of Peggy (Rick) Allen of Hopemills, N.C. and Cathy Tear of San Diego, California; grandfather of Melissa Woetzel and Christina Tear of San Diego, California. Mr. Brees was a retired military policeman with the US Army and also retired from security at the University of Arizona. Mass will be offered 8:10 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2000 at St. Johns Catholic Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Burial will be in Holy Hope cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

SEAN CASEY
One of a Kind.
Sean Casey, 27, died of melanoma at home July 15, 2000. Mr. Casey, who lived in Washington, DC, was born in Tucson, AZ. He attended St. Michael's Day School in Tucson and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1997 with a BA in political science. Prior to graduation, he spent six months in Guatemala studying Spanish and Latin American Culture.
Mr. Casey's work experiences ranged from blackjack dealer in Reno, NV, to staff assistant in the office of U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman (NM). In 1996 he served as a staff assistant on the Presidential campaign of Ross Perot and running mate Pat Choate, who was his stepfather. During his college years, he also taught physical education to 4th and 8th graders in Arizona.
In 1998, he joined National Geographic Television in the Communications department, where he served as a coordinator. He recently had accepted a position as a marketing coordinator for a National Geographic strategic marking group.
He is survived by his father, Michael Casey of Tucson; his mother and stepfather, Kay Casey Choate and Pat Choate of Washington, DC; his brother, Timothy Casey of Phoenix; and his long-time companion, Kimberly Miller of Washington, DC. Funeral will be held at St. Michael's Church in Tucson, Friday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Sean's name to University of Arizona Cancer Center (Development Office, 1515 North Campbell Avenue, Room 1978, Box 245013, Tucson, AZ 85724. A gathering of friends and relatives in celebration of Sean's life will be held in Washington on July 28 at 6:00 p.m. at La Brasserie on Capital Hill.

CAROL MARY FULLER - AKA Carol Daignault - Our beloved Wife, Mother and Friend, completed her final journey to everlasting peace on Saturday, July 15, 2000.
Carol took with her a tremendous amount of love given by all who know her; her husband and best friend, Jerry; her loving sons, Kevin Daignault, Pat Daignault, Dan Daignault and Mike Daignault; her mother, Pauline Jackovich; her sisters, Pat Waiter, Barbara Dorscht, Paulette Kangas, Judy Schmidt; her brother John Jackovich; her stepchildren, Jeannie Benner and Tony Fuller; her eight wonderful granddaughters; and many, many, close and dear friends.
Carol was preceded in her journey by her father, John Jackovich; and by her first husband and father of her sons, Edward Daignault.
Carol departed in peace, and with great dignity, having said 'see you later' to all of her loved ones. Although she was concerned for the welfare of all those she was leaving behind, she left with the joy of knowing that she would be with God, and that she would once again be with those she has missed so badly since their departure.
Carol went with a heart filled with the tranquility and pride of knowing that she had done an outstanding job of bringing comfort, happiness and joy to all those she must leave behind, and comfortable in the knowledge that she will always be present in their hearts and thoughts.
We will all miss you terribly, Carol, until we are together again. The pain of your absence will fade with time, but our love for you will last forever.
Thank you God, for allowing us to have shared our lives here on earth with this wonderful, wonderful, person.
There will be an informal viewing for family and friends at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, at EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Rd., followed at 9:00 a.m. by graveside services and burial.
