MARTINEZ, Ralph Charles III, 48, of Tucson, died July 22, 2000. Born December 13, 1951 in Tucson, Arizona. He is survived by sons, Ralph Enrique and Frederick Martin; parents, Ralph T. and Emma P. Martinez; sisters, Carolina (Edward) Schaeffer and Marlene; brother, Martin (Theresa); grandchildren, Daniel and Stewart; and many beloved uncles, aunts and cousins, nieces and nephews. He graduated from Rincon High School in 1969, worked for Magma Copper Company and BHP Copper in San Manuel for 24 years, and recently graduated from Pima College. He is preceded in death by beloved grandparents, Rafael and Vincenta Martinez and Gildardo and Eloisa Pain. Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2000, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 29, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 215 S. Craycroft Road. Private burial services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Casa de Los Ninos or your favorite charity. Arrangements by Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary.

LOUIS ELI MUSSACK, 67, died July 24, 2000.
Survived by Carol, his loving wife of 41 years; children, Michael Allen Mussack, Sandra Jean, Kristin Denise (Saul) Flores and Deborah Lee (Douglas) Pike; nine grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Lorraine), James (Irene), David (Leona); and sister, Betty Mussack. Louis was preceded in death by son, Brian Scott; daughter, Karen Susan; brother, Bert; and his parents. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2000 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb. Burial will follow at Holy Hope cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. SYLVIA G. TRUJILLO, 65, of Tucson, Arizona passed away July 24, 2000. preceded in death by father, Sydney Paulton. Survived by mother, Victoria Paulton; husband, Isaias 'Ike' Trujillo; son, Kirk (Lucha) Trujillo; daughter, Vicky (Carlos) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Jimmy, Elena, Jennise, and Carlos Jr.; sister, Beryl (Frank) Morris of Australia; also survived by numerous family members. WOODWORTH, Donald L. - In loving memory of Donald L. Woodworth, a brother & best friend to his sister, Jean Brownell; a loving uncle to his niece, Shawnda Brownell who resides in San Diego CA; & nephew, Jeffrey Brownell who resides in Denver CO. A loving son to Ruby A. Woodworth & Clifford P. Woodworth who went to their loving creator before him. To all his friends whose lives he so richly touched, he will be missed. Donald was born in Willamette, OR, January 20, 1933, the family moved to Southern CA when he was nine years old. After graduating high school he served his country in the US Air Force from 1950 through 1954. After his honorable discharge he started working for the Robinson-May Company as a Shortage Control Auditor and retired after 35 years service. In 1995 he moved to Tucson, AZ where he has lived until his untimely death, July 24, 2000. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 27, 2000 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 8650 N. Shannon at 12:30 p.m. for all his friends and loved ones. My dear brother, I shall always keep your loving memory in my heart. Your Sis, Jean

GROSS, Delbert W., 68, of Tucson, died July 24, 2000. Survived by wife, Alma Gross; daughter, Diane (Anthony) Apicella; sons, Joseph (Irma) Clawson and Michael (Cheryle) Clawson; grandchildren, Morgan, Sage and Paul Apicella, Nicholas, Alex, Amanda Clawson, Laura and William Clawson, Joseph Stewart, Leslie (Dominic) King; great-grandchild, Gabriel King. Mr. Gross served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery.

ANTHONY JOSEPH LaCAVERA
August 14, 1963 – July 24, 2000
Beloved son of Betty LaCavera, Mesa, Arizona and Joseph and Darlene LaCavera, Tucson; brother of Joseph I. LaCavera, Tulsa, OK and Michael LaCavera, Chicago, IL, also Dennis Keys (Erica), Steven Keys and Jerry Samaniego; father of Nina, 11 years and Tony, 9 years. Also survived by grandparents, John and Florence Hammond of State College, PA; wife, Karen LaCavera, Tempe, AZ; and mother-in-law, Connie Siekierski, Tucson. His family included five uncles, three aunts, six nephews, 26 cousins and many, many loving friends. Tony has been a 12-year TMC employee. He was a member of Sun Riders of Tucson, a family motorcycle club and was involved with their charitable contributions to the community.
We would like to extend our thanks to the special friends and counselors who were so giving of their time and friendship in trying to ease his pain.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2000 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 S. Craycroft, burial to follow, Our Lady of the Desert cemetery.

BOISE, Candy C., 51, died July 18, 2000 in Tucson. Survived by her daughters, Marty (Joseph) Sanchez, Tami Lefteroff, Kimberly Rawlins, Carrie Rawlins; one sister, Susie Boise. Funeral mass will be Saturday, July 22, 2000 at Noon, St. Cyril's Church at 4725 E. Pima. With burial to follow at Eastlawn cemetery. COLONEL PAUL JOE CORRELL, JR.
October 3, 1925 – July 24, 2000
passed away in the company of his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. HE is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, JoAnn Smith Correll; son Kevin (Marjorie) Correll of Colorado; daughters Paulanne Creighton, Debra (Edward) Williams, Karen (David) Jones, Suzanne Correll; all of California, three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Paul, the youngest of four children, and the only son of Paul Poe and Zilpha Hager Correll, was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
A native of Tucson, AZ, he attended Tucson High School, graduation in 1943. He then joined the U.S. Army Enlisted Reserve Corps, graduating from Hondo AAFB, TX in April 1944 as 2nd Lt. Left active duty to attend the University of Arizona but remained in the Reserves at Davis-Monthan Air Base. He was recalled to active duty in 1951. His career spanned 32 years during which he served with pride and honor in World War II, Korean War and Vietnam, decorated with various medals, including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Stars, an Air Medal, and Commendation Medals Flew as a navigator-bombardier in a variety of aircraft which included the RB-29, RB-47, B-52, and the supersonic B-58 Hustler. After graduating as a Nuclear Weapons Maintenance Officer in 1966, he served in Guam and Thailand as a Squadron Maintenance Officer and Squadron Commander. Returned for a two year stateside assignment at Strategic Air Command Headquarters in Omaha, NE. From there he was assigned as the American Commander of an Air Force Detachment on an Italian airbase in Rimini, Italy. He retired in 1975 from the AF Inspection and Safety Center in San Bernardino, CA. He became a member of the Air Force Assn., Air Force Navigator Assn., The Retired Officers Assn., the 90th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing Assn., and the B-58 Hustler Assn. After retirement, he started his own business in CA, dealing in aftermarket auto accessories, and served on the Encinitas Fire Board for several years. He sold the business prior to returning to Tucson in 1994, where he became a very involved member of the Tucson High Alumni 'T' Club.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Tucson Medical Center, the Arizona Cancer Center, and all our friends for their support and help during his illness.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at East Lawn Palms Chapel at 1:00 PM, . 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ. A reception will follow.
The family suggests any remembrances be made to the Arizona Cancer Center or a charity of their choice.

FOLLETT, Opal, age 83, of Safford, passed away July 26th in Mesa. Funeral ceremonies will be conducted Monday, July 31st at 10:00 a.m., at the Twentieth Street L.D.S. Chapel by Bishop Pat Warren of the Safford 2nd Ward. Concluding ceremonies will follow in the Safford cemetery.
Opal Montierth Follett was born October 4, 1916, in Safford, the daughter of Leslie and Hedevig Montierth. She was one of six children born unto this union. Opal spent the early years of her life on the family ranch in Ft. Thomas. She grew up and obtained her education there. Following her graduation from high school, Opal met Afton Follett. They were sealed on April 26, 1936, at her parents home in Ft. Thomas and later were sealed for time and all eternity in the Arizona Temple. Soon thereafter, Opal furthered her education at Eastern Arizona College, until obtaining work with Mountain Bell as a switchboard operator in Pima and later in Safford. As the dial telephone systems were implemented, Opal left the phone company and began work for the Valley National Bank as a secretary and later as a loan officer. In 1982, Opal retired from the bank, following 20 years of dedication and service. Although raising her family and working kept her busy, Opal also served in several callings in the church including: primary teacher, Sunday school teacher, and visiting teacher. Opal also served in printing of the ward bulletin for the Safford 2nd Ward for more than 35 years. Opal was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Opal leaves behind: her two daughters, Joann Mortensen and Peggy Jones, each of Safford: her son, Leslie Follett, of Bountiful, Utah; four sisters, Laura McClanahan, of Utah, Ivy Hinton, of Mesa, Joy Carpenter, of Valley Farms, and Dorothy Ahlin, of St. George, Utah; her brother, Don Montierth, of Mesa, Washington; a sister-in-law, Merilyn Doran, of Lompac, California; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Afton, in 1988.
Friends may gather Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caldwell's 'Chapel of the Valley' and Monday Morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Safford Twentieth Street L.D.S. Chapel.
The family suggests donation to the Alzheimer's Association of Phoenix, 1028 E. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, Arizona 85006.

ROOT, Raymond J., age 90, a 32-year resident of Tucson, passed away July 27, 2000. Born March 9, 1910 in Toledo, Ohio. Pre-deceased by his wife, Grace A. Root; and son, Robert Rutkowski. Survived by sons, Raymond (Dorothy) Root and Richard (Audrey) Root; daughter, Roberta (Joseph) Zandee; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2000 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Lawn cemetery.

TERRAZAS, Baltazar E. 'Chuy', 80, of Tucson, passed away July 24, 2000. Survived by daughter, Lupe Terrazas; sons, Jesus (Erlinda) and Mario (Laura) Terrazas; sisters, Rosenda Gallego and Rosario Valles; brother, Cipriano Terrazas; also survived by two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2000 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Monday, July 31, 2000, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. THOMASON, Rena, 93, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2000. Rena was born on August 13, 1906 in Paducah, KY. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1959. Rena was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, John; and a daughter, Thelma Evelyn Thomason. Survived by daughter, Charlotte of Tucson; grandsons, Derrick (Freda) Hall of CO and John Hall and Joe (Linda) Grizzle Jr. both of Tucson; great-granddaughter, Moriah Hall of Oracle, AZ; great-grandson, Joe Grizzle III of Tucson and sister, Reta Evelyn Gregory of Paducah, KY. Funeral services and burial will be held in Paducah, KY. Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30th at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.
