Frances I. Vance
Frances I. Vance died Monday, June 14, 1999 in Kingman. She was 74.
Mrs. Vance was born June 5, 1925 in Bartlesville, Okla. She worked as a banker for 30 years at Wells Fargo and First National Bank. Mrs. Vance was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Kingman.
She is survived by: one daughter, Yvonne Ramirez of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; one son, David W. Vance of Kingman; two sisters,, Dorothy Walters of Prosser, Wash., and Ruth Smith of Apache Junction; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Vernon C. Vance in 1994; and her parents, Herbert B. and Meddie (Gist) Sanford.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location. Sutton Crematory is handling cremation.
Ruth Matta
Ruth Matta of Kingman died Saturday, May 22, 1999, in Phoenix. She was 62.
Mrs. Matta was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Pontiac, Mich., and came to Kingman 20 years ago from Michigan. She was a cosmetologist and vice president of the Michigan Cosmetologists Association.
Mrs. Matta is survived by: her husband, Lou Matta of Kingman; one sister, Lila Hicks of Port Richey, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. June 20, 1999, at Covenant of Grace Church. Pastor Tim Morris will officiate. Interment will be in Florida.
Alice Ardary Roberts
Alice Ardary Roberts died Friday, June 11, 1999, in Kingman. She was 77.
Mrs. Roberts was born July 27, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pa. , and came to Kingman eight months ago from Phoenix. She was an occupational therapist.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by: one daughter, Mimi Shelago of Kingman; one son, David Roberts of Scottsdale; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Phoenix First Assembly of God Church. The date and time were not announced.
Henry M. Herridge
Henry Martin Herridge, a native of Kingman, died Thursday, June 10, 1999, in Prescott. He was 71.
Mr. Herridge was born August 25, 1927, in Kingman, to James and Mittie Herridge. He resided in Bagdad at the time of his death. He was a rodeo clown in Prescott, and was a member of the American Legion in Yarnell.
Mr. Herridge is survived by: his wife, Mildred Herridge; three daughters, Leah Rice of Kingman, Cheri Herridge of Phoenix, and Patricia of Bagdad; two sons, Dean of California, and Fred of Bagdad; one brother, Erwin of Kingman; one sister, Lenora of Colorado; her mother, Mittie of Kingman; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 1999, at Memory Chapel in Prescott. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Genung Memorial Park.
Patricia Y. Higbee
Patricia Yvonne Higbee died Sunday, June 6, 1999 in Kingman. She was 74.
Mrs. Higbee was born Jan. 14, 1925, at the White Star Farm in Flemington, W.Va., She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Higbee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Manzanita Ward. She was a member of the Relief Society, and served as president of the Relief Society in 1967 and from 1980 to 1984.
Mrs. Higbee marriage Robert A. Higbee III on Jan. 1, 1941, in Okemah, Okla. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1995.
Mrs. Higbee is survived by two daughters; Sandra Hornick and Barbara Sharp, and two sons; Robert Higbee and Bradley Higbee all of Kingman, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints on Rutherford Avenue.
Burial will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home of Kingman is in charge of arrangements.
Harold Gene Havatone
Harold Gene Havatone died Monday, June 7, 1999, in Kingman. He was 49.
Mr. Havatone was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Kingman and had been employed as a carpenter, teacher and firefighter.
Mr. Havatone is survived by: one daughter, LaToya Havatone of Kingman; and two brothers, Haines Starkey of Peach Springs, and Dayton Havatone of Prescott.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday, June 11, 1999, at the multi-purpose building in Peach Springs. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 1999, at the multi-purpose building. Jimmy Havatone will officiate. Burial will be in the Valentine Cemetery. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Arthur V. Neff
Arthur V. Neff died June 4, 1999 in Kingman. He was 76.
Mr. Neff was born August 30, 1922 in Denver, Colo. He worked in security and law enforcement. Mr. Neff was a decorated World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by: wife Peg, of Kingman; two sons, Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Brad of Kingman; one daughter, Shery Gossen of Scottsdale; and eight grandchildren.
A private burial was held June 10, 1999, at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
Harold Donald Skinner
Harold Donald Skinner died Monday, June 7, 1999 in Kingman. He was 86.
Mr. Skinner was born October 8, 1912 in Longmont, Colo. He was a priest at St. Theresa's Church for 20 years.
Mr. Skinner served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 1999 at St. Theresa's Orthodox Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Chloride Cemetery.

Dorothy Lucille Burkhart
Dorothy Lucille Burkhart died Sunday, June 6, 1999 in Kingman. She was 86.
Mrs. Burkhart was born Feb. 8, 1913 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Mrs. Burkhart worked as a sewing machine operator for Douglas Aircraft for 25 years until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of the Kingman Christian Church. Mrs. Burkhart was also active in the Singles Club, Butler Sociables, Widowers and the Good Sam Club.
Mrs. Burkhart is survived by: one sister, Arlene Snyder of Santa Monica, Calif.; one brother, Kenneth Beeman of Kingman; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon until 3 p.m. on Friday, June 1,, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Ernest Just
Ernest Just died Friday, June 4, 1999 in Kingman. He was 59.
Mr. Just was born May 25, 1940 in Bremerton, Wash.
He was a logger.
Mr. Just is survived by: two daughters, Nancy Just of Colton, Calif., and Vicki just of Shelton, Wash.; son Harold Just of Camp Union, Wash.; sister Vera Just of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Mel Just of Bremerton, Wash., and Fred Just of Camp Union, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Washington at a later date.
Galen Leon Beckmon
Galen Leon Beckmon died Friday, May 28, 1999 in Ash Fork. He was 47.
Mr. Beckmon was born July 13, 1951 in Westphalia, Kan. He worked as a rancher. On June 21, 1996 he marriage Elaine Spaine. He was a member of the Assemblies of God.
Mr. Beckmon is survived by: wife, Elaine Spaine; five children, Tony Beckmon, Terry Beckmon and Tonya Taylor, all of Bliss, Idaho, and Jason Beckmon and Michelle Beckmon, both of Weiser, Idaho; five brothers, Raymond Beckmon of Kingman, Ralph Beckmon of Goading, Idaho, Ron Beckmon of Sacramento, Calif., Doyle Beckmon of Payette, Idaho, and Michael Beckmon of Ash Fork; sister Joyce Davis of Kingman; parents Cecil and Gilma Mae (Mace) Beckmon of Kingman; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Mountain View Cemetery.
