William “Bill” R. Conlin, 56 passed away on September 12, 2001 at YRMC. He was born on December 3, 1944 in Granite City, Illinois.
William owned Sun City Pest Control. He was a part of the Arizona Contractors Association.
William is survived by wife Beth Conlin, Parents Bill and June Pickett, Daughter and son in law Kimberly and John Hurley; Son and Daughter in law Kevin and Shawna Conlin and 7 Grandchildren.

Cecille Bourguet Hurt
Cecille Bourguet Hurt, 78 passed away on September 8, 2001 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 3, 1923 in T.orC., N.M.
Cecille graduated High School in Monticello, NM. She was a Homemaker and Jehovas Witness.
Cecille is survived by her daughters Billie Joe Seifert and Cindy G. Webb, Sons Tom C. Hurt, Jerry P. Hurt and Doyle T. Hurt; Sisters Myrtle Powe and Helen Farmer; brother Darwin Bourguet; 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom C. Hurt, Sons Tim Noel Hurt, Sister Tillie Grandjean and brothers Ira Bourguet and Richard Bourguet.
No services are being held. Final resting place will be Deming, New Mexico.
Theresa M. Stone
Theresa M. Stone of Spring Valley, CA, a former resident of Yuma, AZ, passed away on September 7, 2001 at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. She was a San Diego County resident since 1962.
Theresa was born in Long Island, NY on January 27, 1935. She was the widow of Robert D. Stone who was born in Yuma, AZ in 1936 and passed away in 1994 in La Mesa.
Survivors include her three sons Robert and Joseph Stone of Spring Valley and Donald Stone of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside Service will be on Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at El Cajon Cemetery, 2080 Dehesa Road, El Cajon, CA.
Mary Helen Jaramillo Autrey
Yuma native Mary H. Autrey, 61 passed away September 9, 2001 at YRMC. She was a homemaker. Mary is survived by Daughters Teresa Hernandez, Virginia Ramos, Octavia Wilson. Sons Raymond Ramos Jr, Arturo Ramos, Brothers Ernest Jaramillo, Frank Varela, Arturo Lara, Henry Lara, Albert Lara, Sisters Patricia Mayers, Barbara Hargrove. Three grandsons, Five granddaughters.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2001 at 7:00pm at Yuma Mortuary 551 West 16th Street. Yuma, AZ.

Visitation for Mr. William “Bill” Conlin is scheduled for Sunday, September 16, 2001 at Kammann Mortuary from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2001 at 11:00 am at Morningside Baptist Church.

Kenneth Carleton Allen Fratus
Kenneth Carleton Allen Fratus, born January 19, 1919 in Medford, Massachusetts, died on September 11, 2001 in Yuma. He attended school in Reading and Malden, Massachusetts until he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1937. He served in the Caribbean, the Pacific and the Philippines as a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a life member of the VFW and the Marine Corps Drill Instructors Association and a member of the Elks Lodge #467. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1957 and was employed by Planning Research Corporation for 18 years. He retired from Hughes Aircraft Company in 1982, while residing in Thousand Oaks, California. He moved to Yuma, Arizona in 1984 where he lived until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Fratus; sister, Doris (James) O’brien; daughter, Mary (Dan) Bullor, of CA and two sons, Larry, of WA. and Carleton, of CA.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at Valley Oaks Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd., Westlake Village, CA. at 10:00 AM. Military graveside services will follow at 1:00 PM.
Shirley Lapin
Shirley Lapin passed away in Santa Rosa, CA on September 11, 2001. Shirley and her husband, Ben, lived in Clearlake, CA. For the past 26 years they would spend 6 months out of the year in Yuma. After retiring as a registered nurse, she worked for Chevron. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, rubber stamping and visiting with friends and relatives.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ben Lapin; step son, Jerry (Robin) Lapin and granddaughters, Amy and Jessica Lapin.
No services were requested. Arrangements made by Neptune Society.

Jennie Olea Reger
Jennie Olea Reger was called home to our Heavenly Father on September 13, 2001.
Jennie was the seventh of eight daughters born to Amada Armenta Olea & Stephen Rivera Olea on July 24, 1923 in Yuma, Az.
She is survived by son Gilbert “Sonny” Reger, Daughters Jeannette (Jerry) Apodaca, Mary Opal (David) Contreras, Patricia Rico, James Rico; grandchildren Bernadette Apodaca Cosmano, Judith Apodaca, MiLinda Apodaca, Stephanie Contreras Amstutz, David Contreras, Jr., Andrea Contreras Jackson, Marc Contreras, Noel Contreras, Mary Beth Contreras, Christina Reger Bradford, Jennifer Reger, Roxanne Reger, Andrew Rico, Marlana Rico, Melissa Rico, Gabriel Rico, 18 great-grandchildren, sisters Norma Cooney, Josephine Burgos, Margaret Faz; Brother in law P.C. Arviso, sisters in law Anna Fern Van Wye, Dorothy Pinckard, Gloria Leeper, Ruth Sayre and numerous nieces and nephews.
She joins her loved ones who have gone before her, husband Gilbert (Curley) Reger, great-granddaughters Valentina Apodaca 5, Sabrina Apodaca 2, her parents and sisters Angelita Olea Montoya, Emily Olea Ponce, Eleanor Olea Baca, and Amelia Olea Arviso.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Andrew & Gabriel Rico, David Jr., Marc, Noel and Mary Beth Contreras. Honorary Pallbearers are Sonny Reger, P.C. Arviso, David Contreras, Jerry Apodaca, James Rico and Danny Garcia.
Jennie will be deeply missed and will live in our hearts forever.
Mom give Daddy a big hug for us. We know he’s waited a while to cut a rug or two with you.
Duard Lee Stanphill
Duard Lee Stanphill, 64, died September 11, 2001 in Williams, Arizona. He was born February16, 1937 in Stone County, Mo. Duard, a long time Yuma resident, retired from the citrus industry which he worked from 1953-1999. He worked for the Lemon Administration & Sunkist Growers Inc. Duard was an avid sportsman. He also loved music and his motorcycle.
Survivors include; his parents, Roy and Christobell of Yuma, brother, Dale (Marilyn) Stanphill of Yuma, Az. son, Micheal (Paulette) Stanphill of Idaho, daughters, Julie (Bob) LaFountain, son, Alan (Kelly) Ordos both of San Juan Capristano, CA, seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Cremation and immediate family services were held on September 18 at the home of his parents.
Edward Paul Lotze
Edward Paul Lotze, 54 a long time resident of Yuma passed away at his home on September 17, 2001.
He is survived by his wife: Janet. Sons: Michael and Anthony Lotze
Mother: Rosemary Lotze. Grandchildren: Edward and Sarah.
Mr. Lotze was a retired Msgt, USMC.
A private cremation has taken place and memorial services are not planned at this time.

Marian M. Burgan
Marian M. Burgan, 76, of Yuma passed away on September 24, 2001.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin; children, William C. Burgan and Bonnie Gay Kelly; brother, Bruce Kendell; sister, Frances Kunkle; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

David W. Dotson II, Jr.
David W. Dotson II, Jr., 37, passed away September 19, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born September 8, 1964 in Yuma, Arizona. Mr. Dotson was employed by ARICON3 Construction as a Foreman. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Chapter 408. Mr. Dotson attended Crane Elementary and Yuma Union High School.
Survivors include; his son, David W. Dotson III of Phoenix, Az., mother, Norma I. Hathaway, father, David W. Dotson I, sister, Irene D. Dotson, and brother, Shawn S. Dotson all of Yuma, sister, Dawn W. Thomas of Chesapeake, Virginia, grandparents Edward Palacio and Rosa Palacio of Yuma and 12 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie G. DeDonatis and sister Deloris D. Bay.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary, September 25, 2001 at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. with chapel services from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00p.m. Graveside services will be held September 26, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include Shawn Dotson, Andrew Vasquez, Pablo Mendoza, Richard Cedillo, Ronnie Quijada, and Juan Camarillo.
Honorary Bearers include Dave Dotson I, Dave Dotson III, William Quijada, Joe Patron Jr., Ramiro Silva, and William Palacio.
