BORTONE, Thomas V., 48, of Tucson, died March 24, 1996. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil A. Bortone. He is survived by mother, Catherine T. Bortone of Wayland, MA; brother, Richard Bortone of Woodbridge, VA; several aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was a loving friend of many. BRITO, Crystalina F., 15, of Tucson, passed away March 24, 1996. Survived by grandparents, Roberto Brito and Elizabeth Teso Tizoc and Isabel Dorame; parents, Esteban and Christine (step-mother), and Anna Dorame (mother); sisters, Stacy R. Brito, Raquel A., Roxanne N. Martinez; brothers, Esteban J. Brito and George Orduno. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 1996 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. JUNGE, Theresa, 77, died March 26, 1996. Survived by nephew, William (Barbara) Mitchell of Tucson; niece, Alice (William) Christman of VA; grandniece, Ann Andre of Paris, France; and grandnephew, William Mitchell of La Jolla, CA; nieces and nephews, John, Theresa and James also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Junge. She was a past member of the St. Cyril’s Senior Citizen Club. Services pending. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

McNICHOLS, Genevieve, 92, of Tucson, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 1996. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Betty) Paisola of Lompoc, CA and Ronald (Billie Sue) Paisola of Tucson. Mrs. McNichols has four granddaughters, Sandra Twine of Escondido, CA, Bobbi Eggleston of Solvang, CA, Valerie Dickens of Dallas, TX and Brenda Smoyer of Tucson. She is also survived by four great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Mrs. McNichols was an elementary school principal and teacher for 30 years in the Ohio Valley. She retired from the Martins Ferry, Ohio school system as a first grade teacher in 1964. She then worked as a substitute teacher in T.U.S.D. for eight years. There will be an immediate family only memorial service and inurnment at Immanuel Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden with Rev. Fred Wood officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the Immanuel Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden Fund, 9252 E. 22n St., Tucson, AZ 85710.

MOORE, James “Jim’ Naaman, In loving memory, went to God on March 11, 1996. He was born in Oklahoma July 10, 1938, 57 years old. Survived by and was beloved son of Virgie Moore, La Quinta, Calif.; loving children, Wade Moore (Judy), Vickie Larken (Randy) and Floyd Moore (Barbie), all of Olympia, Wash., Rolinda Hipolito (John), Dawn Ross (John), Shielena Moore (Shannon), all of Modesto, Calif.; sisters, Madahlia (Lee) Peralta and Gail Miller (Steve) of Tucson, Az, Lydia Garcia (Jeff), La Quinta, Calif.; deceased brother, sister and father; six nieces, six nephews, four great-nieces, four great-nephews. Due to cremation there will be no no services. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials may be sent to the Southwest Community Center, 5950 Cardinal, Tucson, AZ 85746, where Jim was a member; enjoyed volunteering his time to cook for members and public; or the Victim Witness Program c/o Pima County Attorney, 32 N. Stone, Tucson, AZ 85701.

POLETTI, Josephine S., 78, of Tucson, died March 22, 1996. Survived by husband, Walter L. Poletti. Services will be held at a later date in Connecticut. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

RUMIN, Mary Moira Murmane, passed over on March 6, 1996. Mary was born in Ireland on July 9, 1942. She came to the United States at the age of 11 and lived in New Jersey until 1967 when she moved to Tucson. Mary worked at both St. Mary’s and Kino Hospitals. Mary was devoted to the animal world. She had been a veterinary assistant and dog and cat groomer. She was active with the Humane Society and was a board member of Animal Crusaders. Mary was also active with the Irish community in Tucson. Mary, who many knew as Moira, was working for the State of Arizona as a care giver for the handicapped when she became ill in October 1994. Mary was married to James M. Rumin on December 30, 1995 in Tucson. She is survived by her husband, Jim; her sister, Rita Scudder in Ormand Beach, FL; a sister, Sheila Price of England; a brother, John Murmane of England; and many friends who loved her dearly. The family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to Animal Crusaders, P.O. Box 311586, Tucson, AZ 85751-1586. There will be a memorial service to honor Mary and her life of service at the Johrei Center on Saturday, March 30, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. The Johrei Center is located at 3925 E. River Rd. All are invited to attend.

WEBER, Steven Wayne, a 16 year resident of Tucson, passed away March 25, 1996 at the age of 34. Born November 18, 1961 in Hartford, MI. Mr. Weber worked for Kovach Properties. He is survived by his loving wife of five years, Marie; son, Dillon; daughter, Clara; mother, Roberta Lee Weber; father, Lawrence C. Weber; stepmother, Joyce Weber; grandmother, Naomi Weber; sisters, Chris Roush, Patti Croft and Sandra Williams; brother, Bruce Weber. A Visitation will be held today from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. A Memorial Service will be held 9:00 a.m. Thursday at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, Pastor David Bowman officiating.

Dominguez of Casa Grande; mother, Vera Perotti, Tucson; four sons, Troy Beebe, Keith Beebe, Derek Dominguez, Daniel Dominguez, all of Casa Grande; three daughters, Theresa Beebe, Taylor Dominguez, Hayley Dominguez, all of Casa Grande; one grandson; two sisters, Eleanor Thornhill, Tucson and Rosa Perotti, Tucson; two brothers, Will Jenkens, Dallas, TX and Mike Jenkens, Lakeside, AZ. EHRLICH, Anne, 87, of Tucson, passed away March 25, 1996. Preceded in death by husband, Max Ehrlich and a son, Donald. She was the beloved mother of Rita (Roger) Anderson of San Diego, CA; and beloved grandmother of Jeff Anderson, Viki Teafatiller, and Scott Anderson; and great grandmother to six great grandchildren. She always had time to help others, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2:00 p.m. at ARIZONA MORTUARY CHAPEL, 7 E. GABLE, Jack Edward, 68, of Tucson, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996. Survived by his wife, Reba J. Gable of Tucson; daughters, Gail Marsh, Linda Gable, both of MI; stepsons, Kevin (Diana) Giddens, Kenneth (Sue) Giddens, both of Tucson; brother, Neil Gable of St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Gable was President of the Tucson Coin Club, Inc., President of the Houghton Neighborhood Assoc., and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #385. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. HAYCOOK, Kathryn Frances, 80, of Tucson, died March 26, 1996. She will be greatly missed by her family. Survived by husband, Dean Haycook of Tucson; daughters, Charlotte (Dick) Lynch of Arlington, TX and Karen (Rich) Kol of Tucson; grandchildren, Michele Kol of Tucson, Skip Jackson of Miami, FL and Kathryn Baer of Springfield, OH. LYNN, James Henry, 88 years old, of Tucson, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996. He was a pioneer to the area, resident for 86 years. Retired from Ronstadt Co. as shop foreman. Survived by son, Michael J. (Mary J.) Lynn of Tucson; daughter, Donna J. Lynn of CA; grandson, James M. Lynn of Tucson. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., with Rev. Dr. William F. Dean of First Presbyterian Church, Florence, AZ officiating.

PERRY, Ann Tallier, 79, of Tucson, died March 26, 1996. Survived by husband, Edwin Perry of Tucson; son, Andre K. Perry of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Akela Perry, Andre K. Perry, Jr., both of CA; and her dear friends, the Burch family. Graveside Services were held Evergreen Cemetery, with Chaplain Robert Keim of Community Hospice officiating. RHOADES, Hilma F., 82, of Tucson, passed away on March 26, 1996. She was a teacher for many years at TUSD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Rhoades. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Gallagher of Aurora, CO; and three brothers, Robert Rosenquist of Grand Junctions, CO, Henry E. Rosenquist of Cape Coral, FL and Jack Rosenquist of Denver, CO. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, March 29, 2:00 p.m. with Funeral at 3:00 p.m EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY. Burial will be in East Lawn Palms Cemetery. ROSSEN, Maxine, 75, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Tucson, died March 26, 1996. Maxine lived in Tucson for 56 years prior to moving to Phoenix. Survived by brother, Richard Herschleder of Phoenix. Services and interment will be private. Arrangements by Best Funeral Services, Phoenix, AZ.
