HOPKINS, William, A resident of Tucson since 1948, passed away March 27, 1996 in Tucson, at the age of 88. Born July 19, 1907 in Kirkentilloch, Scotland. Mr. Hopkins owned and operated Perfect Cleaners in Tucson, until his retirement in 1969. He sponsored and was active in slow pitch softball, and was an active member of St. Marks Presbyterian Church since 1950. Survived by his daughters, Mari Helen (Max) High and Beth Thomas; grandchildren, Douglas High, Robin and Robert Thomas; sister, Margaret Frieberger. Preceded in death by his wife, Ivy. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 1996 at St. Marks Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. 3rd St. Rev. Sue Westfall and Rev. Stewart Taylor officiating. Graveside Service will follow at South Lawn Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army or the Community Food Bank. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

HUNTER, Audrey H., 92, died April 2, 1996. Preceded in death by husband, Robert M. Hunter. Survived by daughter, Delores E. Ray; grandsons, Dennis T. (Margaret) Ray and Byron H. (Brenda) Ray; great granddaughters, Danielle M. Myers and Meredith M. Ray; and many friends. Audrey was a longtime member and staff worker in Evangelism at Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was also active in the community, including work with foreign students and the Mayan Club. Audrey was also a published writer. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 1996 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Andrew G. Ross and Dr. Richard F. Rowley officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made, in memory of Audrey Hunter, to the U of A Foundation, 1111 W. Cherry, Tucson, AZ 85721. Arrangements and private interment by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

REAGAN, Irene B., 82, of Tucson, died April 2, 1996. No Services to be held. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

ROBINSON, Ralph E., 77, of Tucson, died April 2, 1996. Survivors include wife, Doris; sons, Eugene and Shawn; daughter, Ester Lovett (Don); one grandchild, Jeremiah Lovett; one brother, Paul (Emma); one sister, Martha (Bob) Epp, both of IN. Mr. Robinson was an employee of the VA Hospital for 25 years and a member of DAV and Grange. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, April, 5, 1996. Funeral Service will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 1996 with Rev. Gordon Vernon officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

SLUDER, Myrtle, born April 23, 1923, went to sleep indefinitely on April 2, 1996. A kind, caring woman, who loved many and was loved by many. Memorial services to remember her life and her hope will be held Saturday, April 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Manzanita Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2121 W. Canada. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

WOOLLEY, Walter W., 86 years old, died April 2, 1996. He was a Tucson resident for 40 years. Survived by wife, Helen; daughters, Phyllis Jean Potter, Wilma Louise (Art) Hannebohm, all of Tucson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, 1996 at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave. The family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association.

BOWLING, Horace M., 91, born in Alabama February 22, 1905, died in Tucson April 3, 1996. Survived by wife of 10 years, Doris Lawhead Bowling; sons, Donald of Tucson and Robert of Gaines, MI; daughter, Betty Leigh of Birmingham, MI; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Dessie Kirby Bowling, wife of 60 years. Memorial Services will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 1996 at the EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

COTO, Manuel M., 82, of Tucson, passed away April 2, 1996. Survived by wife, Cleo Coto; sisters, Mary Romero, Theresa Diaz and Tina Riffle; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 1996 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Monday, April 8, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

FREEDMAN, Pearl, 80, died April 4, 1996. Survived by brother, Dr. Nathan Kolins (Claire); sister, Bernice Blank; children, Bernard Freedman and Jerri Siegel (Ronald); and grandchildren, Laura Bolding, Marc Siegel, Kacey Siegel and Adam Freedman. Private Services.

GAMBINO, James J., 72, a long time Tucson resident, passed away April 2, 1996. Survived by stepdaughter, Gina Genova; niece, Nina Mendoewsky of MI and nephew, Joe Messana of FL. Mr. Gambino served in the Army during WWII, was a member of the Marion McDaniel Lodge #56 F&AM and a retired builder. Memorial Service Saturday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m. at DESERT ROSE CREMATION.

VUKICH, Florence Viola, 91 years old, died Monday, April 1, 1996 in Tucson. Survived by three sons, Dale Vukich of Tucson, George Vukich of Missola, MT, Jack Vukich of Everett, WA; two daughters, Montana Reed of Everett, WA and Alice Mingus of Tucson; brother, Henry Ormsby of Loomis, CA; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Vukich will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to Service time on Saturday. Burial will be Montana View Cemetery, Big Timber, MT.

WAGNER, Bette June, 73 years old, died Monday, April 1, 1996 in Tucson. Survived by two daughters, Sharon Voelzow of Tucson, Vickie Berman of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Marc Wagner of Phoenix, Brian Wagner of Massillion, OH; two brothers, Dick Lape and Jack Lape, both of CA; two sisters, Jean Hickmott and Sue Elbright, both of OH; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services and Burial will be held in Sierra Vista, AZ. Arrangements handled by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 881-0338.

CHANNELL, Charles, 64, died April 4, 1996. Survived by wife, Wenonah Channell; son, Steven (Marion) Channell; daughters, Karen (Brian) Crane and Sandra Channell; grandchildren, Aaron and Aimee Crane; three brothers, Samuel, Alvin and Willis Channell. Friends may call 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at East Side Assembly of God Church, 1930 S. Wilmot Rd. with Pastor David Stevens officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at East Side Assembly of God Church.

COOPER, Dorothy M. (Stiff), 74, died April 2, 1996. Survived by children, Donna (Jim) Pothour and Darrell (Tara) Stiff; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one brother. Private family services were held. EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY AND CEMETERY in charge of arrangements.

KODYSZ, Laura Mae, 74, passed away April 2, 1996. Survived by daughters, Barbara Hildebrandt of OH, Joan Strickland of Tucson, Sharon Pfifer of Scottsdale, Jean Gudino of Tempe; sons, David Kodysz of Anchorage, AK, Scott Kodysz of Kenai, AK, Kenn Kodysz of Bencia, CA; 28 grand and great-grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her ex-husband, known as “Trapper John’ and two sons, Jon and Gary. In the late 1950's the Kodysz family moved from Ohio to a 160 acre homestead in Kenai, AK where they built their own log cabin. Laura was the first telephone operator for Ma Bell in Kenai for years and later owned and operated her own answering service. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the home of her daughter, Joan Strickland, 2601 W. Broadway Blvd.

MURILLO, Rafael (Chilillas), 44 years old, died Tuesday, April 2, 1996. He was an area resident for nine years. Survivors include wife, Gloria; son, Rafael; daughter, Danitza, all of Tucson; brothers, Manuel, Moises, Jose, Jesus, all of ID; sister, Maria Acunicion Oglesby of ID; sister, Maria Del Refugio Alcantara of Mexico; many nieces, nephews and relatives. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 1996 at St. Monica Church, 212 W. Medina with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 1996. Interment at South Lawn Cemetery.

RADZEVICH, Anna, died April 2, 1996. Anna was born May 2, 1905 in Panevezys, Lithuania. In 1922 she came to America. Anna married William Bekens and had one daughter Rosalind. She was widowed in 1939. Anna married Joseph Radzevich on October 26, 1941 and became stepmother to Eleanor, Raymond, Dolores, Elizabeth and Robert. Anna and Joseph had one son Richard. Anna was known as Mrs. Razzy around her braddock neighborhood. She was a special friend and an active church member. She was widowed in 1974. Anna relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1984. She resided with her granddaughter and husband, Thea and Floyd Lawrence. She became a Grandma to everyone she met. The favorite things in Grandma’s life were people, animals, flowers, cards and music. Grandma shared her love by giving needlework, crocheting or knitting to special people. Grandma always had a great sense of humor, love of life, compassion, advice and understanding for all of us who needed her. She is preceded in death by three children, Raymond, Rosalind and Richard. She is survived by four children, Eleanor, Dolores, Elizabeth and Robert; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. Services and burial will take place in Pittsburgh, PA. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

DORE, Luella L. was called home by the Lord April 4, 1996. She was born in Sisseton, SD June 29, 1899, moved with her family to the Peace River area in northern Alberta where she met and married Anton M. Dore, who predeceased her in 1965. She lived for many years in Victoria, B.C. where she was active in her church and with the local Arthritic Society. In 1971 she joined her son’s family in Tucson and for 16 years was a faithful volunteer at the Tucson Association for the Blind. Luella is survived by her loving family, a son and daughter-in-law, Burnell (Bob) and Barbara Dore, four grandchildren, Sharyn Dale in Leicester, MA, Heather Page in San Jose, CA, Bonnie Dorri and Robert Dore in Tucson, and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 East Broadway, Thursday April 11 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the building fund at Christ Presbyterian Church.

FREITAG, William, 90 of Tucson, died Sunday, April 7, 1996. Survived by his children, William (April) Freitag, Roger (Linda) Freitag, Joylene Freitag; grandchildren, Gary, Craig, Bill, Wade and Rodger Freitag, Heidi Ackerley; three great grandchildren; and three nieces. Mr. Freitag was a member of the Moose Lodge. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

GANELES, Annie, 83, of Tucson, died Saturday, April 6, 1996. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Abraham; son, Mort (Ruth) Ganeles; daughter, Shirley (Herbert) Gordon; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, and three sisters. Mrs. Ganeles was a life time member of Hadassah and a member of B’Nai B’rith. Cryptside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 1996 at the Mausoleum of Peace, East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the Ganeles’ Home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hadassah, 4625 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, 85711. GUESMAN, Edgar R., 66, of Tucson, died March 22, 1996. Ret. US Gov. Communications Management Specialist. Husband of Grace M.; father of Kathryn M. and Karl E. Guesman; grandfather of Joshua Guesman, all of Tucson; brother of Ruth Paull and Emma (Bill) Mendis of Uniontown, PA. Memorial Mass at St. Joseph’s Church Chapel in the Parish Center, 215 S. JAMESON, Don, 74, passed away suddenly after a very brief illness on April 6, 1996. Husband of Betty Joe Jameson; father of Bob (Cindy) Jameson, Barbara (Don) Bergman and Bill (Julie) Jameson, all of Tucson; grandfather of Donna and Cody; numerous other relatives and friends also survive. He was owner of Jameson Sporting Goods Store and owner of Tucson Cowboys Professional Baseball Team. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 1996 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Rev. Howard Higgins officiating. Friends may call at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday April 10 until service time at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society of Tucson, 3450 N Kelvin Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716 would be appreciated.
