MILO, Sheryll E., age 54, died unexpectedly on May 28, 1996. Born and raised in the Seattle area, she attended the University of Washington and graduated from the University of Arizona. Shery was a devoted reacher who taught for many years first at Pueblo High School, then at University High School, and this past year at Patagonia Union High School. She was honored three times with the Flinn Award for excellence in teaching. Shery was loved and will be remembered by many, many students whose lives were benefited and enriched by her skill and devotion. Special loves of her life included her husband, Ron, their ranch in Sonoita, and the many animals sheltered and cared for over the years. Shery was preceded in death by her father, Alan Erchinger. In addition to her husband, Ron, she is survived by her mother, Delores Erchinger; and her sisters and their families, Susan, Jim, Jamie, and Tristan Gorski, and Sandy, Emmett, Michael, and Christy Maloof. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, June 1 at 2:00 at Patagonia Community Church, 387 McKeon Avenue, Patagonia. STEINBACH, Kurt, May 2, 1920 – May 21, 1996. A native of Cleveland, OH, Kurt came to Tucson in 1944 after serving two years as an Army Sergeant in WWII. He was decorated twice, earning both a silver star and a purple heart. His working career(s) included employment with Southern Pacific, Davis-Monthan and Sears Roebuck, mainly in the maintenance area with a specialty in refrigeration. In his free time he raced stock cars at Gilpin Raceway and was a pilot with Civil Air Patrol’s Search and Rescue unit. He retired in 1975 due to a war-related disability and began ranching in Mexico before returning to Tucson in 1977. He commuted between Tucson, Kelley’s Island, OH and Cholla Bay, Mexico. He is survived by sisters, Ilse and Doris Steinbach, Margaret (Bill) Clapper; daughters, Sandra Callahan, Suzanne (Pat) Sledge; and son, Paul (Gayle) Steinbach. He is also survived by grandchildren, Keith and Shannon Callahan, Krista Lewallen and Dori Steinbach. CAMPBELL, Warren C., 73, of Benson, passed away on May 28, 1996. Born August 8, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine (Pileggi); eldest daughter, Annette A. Campbell; son-in-law, John F. Canally; and grandson, Aran Canally; younger daughter, Sandra C. Briggs; son-in-law, Benjamin F. Briggs; and granddaughters, Geneva, Andrea, and Olivia Briggs, all of Tucson. Resident of Benson since 1977, formerly of Hatboro, PA. U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Served on Guadalcanal. Retired to Arizona after 37 years as a tool and dye maker. Owned Valley High Court and was past President of the Benson Rotary Club. He is remembered for his gentle kindness and his love of the outdoors. His passions included hunting, fishing, woodworking and sharing his knowledge with those fortunate to have known him. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 1996 at Richardson’s Mortuary Chapel, 725 E. Fourth Street, Benson.
