FAITH, Rose H., age 100, a resident of Arizona for 50 years, passed away May 25, 1996. Born June 21, 1895 in Hungary. Survived by her daughter, Rosemary F. (Alvin) Sample; sons, Joseph J. (Lois) and Robert (Catherine) Faith; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. GITTINGS, George, died May 26, 1996 after a long illness which began after an accident that occurred in Bari, Italy, December 1943. He was born August 24, 1915. He entered the USMC in 1934 and in 1938 enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves for three months. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1938, transferring to the United States Army Air Corps in 1939 which became the United States Air Force during WWII. In the Marines George saw action in China and in WWII in the Mediterranean areas, from Egypt across North Africa, Sicily and Italy, and he was in a rescue unit in the Korean Conflict. He was medically retired from the Air Force in 1957. He worked in Civil Service in Prescott for 10 years and was medically retired in 1967. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte; daughters, Jeanne Dahl of Las Vegas, NV, Jewell Hodson of Chinle, AZ, Jo Linda Hadley of Chinle, AZ and Jeri Louise Good of New Port News, VA; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and his brother, Dan Gittings of Solano Beach, CA. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 29, 1996 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. HIATT, Rev. John A., 88, died May 22, 1996. John was born September 2, 1907, in Russellville, OH to John and Caroline Hiatt, Jr. He grew up in a farming community moving to the “Big City’, Cincinnati at a young age. He married Ollie Kincheloe on November 18, 1929. Their daughter, Virginia, was born June 16, 1931. A few years later he became a believer and felt a call to the ministry, therefore in 1935 they moved to Owosso, MI, where he enrolled in the Bible Holiness School in 1936, becoming the first married student. Upon completion of his training he received a ThB and began his pastoral service. He served 5 Pilgrim Holiness Churches beginning in 1942 and retiring in 1976. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Tucson. He loved Arizona scenery and he hiked and drove to see as much of it as he could. He was once accused of wanting to see “Every Saguaro’ the state had. His wife preceded him in death on March 14, 1992. He continually missed her and was looking forward to being re-united in Heaven. He is survived by daughter, Virginia of Tucson and sister, Mary Lyman of Cincinnati, OH. A graveside service was held May 24, 1996 at East Lawn Palms Cemetery with Pastor Mark Harmon of Central Church of the Nazarene officiating. AMADO, Pablo, 86, of Phoenix, passed away May 21, 1996. Mr. Amado was born June 26, 1909 in Tucson. His family was among the founders of the Presidio in 1775. Mr. Amado was a rancher, farmer, retail store owner and a prize-winning amateur photographer. He was a member of a pioneer family, the Knights of Columbus, the Arizona Historical Society, Los Desciendientes De Tucson and the Tucson and Phoenix Camera Clubs. He had received the Governor’s Award for Arizona pioneers from Gov. Symington. Mr. Amado is survived by his wife, Aida Amado; children, Antonio Celaya, Paul G. Amado, Laura McNeill, Maria Byers, Delia Walters, William E. Ganz, Alice Bauer and Jo Ganz Boyd; sister, Amalia Torres; 26 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
